As an ace system, I have assisted countless hosts. Finally, I embark on my own journey of quick transmigration (also known as: a promising retirement mission).
In the Beast World, I meet a pi...
Ahri looked at the water spilled at the man's feet.
The other door opened, and four more men appeared.
"Hey, everyone's here? Hey, didn't anyone leave a light on for me?"
Ah Li walked into the yard like an old man.
The six men stood up, lined up in a row, and then silently lowered their heads.
Ahri tapped on the table. "What's the last one?"
“You told him to go wash clothes for someone, but that family said he couldn’t come back until he finished washing them.”
Among the six men, one spoke cautiously.
Ahri thought about it and realized that there was indeed such a thing.
That man was the first husband the original owner brought back; he was mute.
The original owner was also very lazy. He brought people back without asking their names, and just called them "so-and-so" all the time.
Ali took out the roast duck, roast chicken, and pig's head meat that he had just brought back, looked at the six people in front of him, and said, "Go, heat these up, I want to eat them later."
Just then, some people's stomachs growled, and more than one of them did.
Ahri almost covered her face, but still said in a harsh voice, "What! Haven't you all eaten?! You can't stand to see me eat something good!"
"Also, warm this wine up for me!"
The six people looked at each other, and someone came forward, carefully watching Ah Li before reaching out to take the things and going to the kitchen with the others.
A short while later, there was some noise from the kitchen, and someone lit an oil lamp.
Ah Li thought about how the original owner of the house didn't allow anyone to turn on the lights in order to gamble away all the money, and everyone had to go back to their rooms as soon as it got dark.
What a terrible thing!
Oh, and that boss, he should be back soon too.
Because the eldest brother was mute, he encountered a drunk woman acting crazy on the road, and he couldn't even shout.
Later, in order to save himself, he almost committed suicide.
Ahri grabbed a stick from the corner and went outside.
The journey was quite quiet.
Ah Li went into the shadows, and then heard a woman laugh and say, "Just give in to me."
Ahri rushed over with the stick and delivered a powerful blow to the woman's head.
The woman didn't smell of alcohol, and after being hit hard, she slowly collapsed onto the man.
The man kept his mouth tightly shut, shoved the woman away violently, and then ran away in a panic.
Ahri then emerged from the shadows, looked at the woman on the ground, and then at the man who had run away.
Yes, it's the original owner's husband.
Fortunately, she arrived in time.
Ah Li crouched down and recognized the woman.
She stripped the woman of all her outer clothing and threw her clothes around, leaving them scattered about.
Then, they even wrote on the woman's face, "I'm a pig!"
After Ahri finished doing all this, she took the stick and went back.
When she returned, all seven men were standing in the courtyard waiting for her.
Ahri yawned, walked towards her room, and said, "I'm tired, I'm not eating."
"Those things..."
Someone was really hungry, he asked in a low voice.
Ahri stopped and stood at the doorway without turning around. "Tomorrow morning I want to see you all hand over all the money you earned today. You can eat the rest of the food."
After Ah Li finished speaking, she ignored the reactions of the seven people outside and went straight back inside to lie down.
The next day, it was already broad daylight.
Ahri slowly woke up and then touched the money pouch at her waist.
Fortunately, I won a lot yesterday, so I still have money to buy rice today.
When Ah Li opened the door, she found a dozen or so coins on the ground, strung together with a rope.
It's obvious at a glance that it was earned by the seven of them yesterday.
Ahri bent down, put the money in her money bag, and then went out again.
After going out, Ali went straight to buy rice, then some vegetables, and other things.
Upon seeing Ahri, someone exclaimed, "Vice General, are you starting to manage the household now?"
Ahri said gruffly, "How can I not take care of the family? I almost starved to death last night!"
"You're worried about starving to death? Don't you love eating out the most?"
A woman selling vegetables, holding a bunch of water spinach, smiled and spoke to Ali.
Ah Li rubbed his hands together. "Without money, how can I dare to eat out?"
The woman selling vegetables threw a cucumber at Ali, saying, "Since you know to buy rice and vegetables today, I'll give you this cucumber for free."
"And stop gambling. The most important thing is to treat your husbands well and have a few kids as soon as possible."
"Go away! There's no way I'll quit gambling. You've all known that all these years."
Ah Li, carrying the cucumber, went back with the other things.
Those people didn't try to persuade her anymore, nor did they take Ah Li's change to heart.
Because the original owner had done the same thing before, first buying rice and vegetables.
But then he would turn around and gamble, lose, and run out of money, so he would bring his belongings back to the owner to ask for a refund.
The original owner didn't bring the items to get a refund herself; instead, she had her seven husbands bring the items to get a refund.
People around here all know the original owner's character; they just feel sorry for those seven husbands, so they sometimes send them away.
Ah Li took the things back home. Her blind husband was there too. Hearing the noise, he groped his way out and asked, "Who's there?"
Ahri said irritably, "Who else could it be but me?"
The blind husband fell silent, somewhat embarrassed, and wanted to go back inside.
"Don't go, come and get me some water!"
