Transmigration: My Children Are The Lucky Protagonist's Miserable Counterparts

Chen Yunyun transmigrated into a nostalgic novel from a bygone era. Her three adopted children, destined to become blackened villains, were precisely the miserable counterparts to the lucky female ...

Chapter 56: Are you going to the military base to find your husband?

The train started moving, emitting a long, mournful whistle.

The children had never seen anything like it before, and their faces showed a mixture of surprise and bewilderment.

Chen Yunyun peeled the candy and fed one to each person.

Mo Xuanxuan stared at the three children without blinking. "Sister, are these all your children? But you don't look much older than me."

Chen Yunyun smiled and said, "The mother of my children... I married her later in life."

It's a stepmother and her child.

Mo Xuanxuan looked at the child snuggling affectionately next to Chen Yunyun; the child didn't resemble her at all.

"Sister, you are such a good person," Mo Xuanxuan said sincerely.

Chen Yunyun smiled and said, "You seem to really like children. Would you like to hold one?"

Chen Yunyun took the three children from Rong Yan, as the three children particularly liked Rong Yan.

He used to call Rong Yan "father" all the time, but after she corrected him a few times, he finally stopped calling her that.

But he always clung to Rong Yan. When Rong Yan meditated, he would sleep on his lap, drooling all over the floor.

The little girl's gaze followed Chen Yunyun's movements and fell on Rong Yan. She froze, and after a few seconds, she lowered her head, her face turning red.

"Come here for a hug."

A tiny, milky-smelling dumpling was tucked into her arms, and Mo Xuanxuan instinctively caught it, exclaiming, "So soft!"

Chen Yunyun glanced at the little girl's flushed face, then looked at Rong Yan, who was resting with her eyes closed but had outstanding looks, and understood what was going on.

This girl is probably in love.

Chen Yunyun shook her head. Rong Yan had lived for over a thousand years. Mo Xuanxuan, a simple young girl, couldn't handle such an old monster.

The third child was held in Mo Xuanxuan's arms, not afraid of strangers at all, his round little black eyes quietly looking at people.

"Ah Sheng, call her sister."

Ah Sheng opened his little mouth and uttered a mumbled "Sister".

With his sweet, childlike voice, he was so well-behaved that Mo Xuanxuan liked Ah Sheng from the bottom of her heart. She took out a watch from her pocket and put it into the small pocket of the third child's clothes.

"Oh dear, that won't do."

Chen Yunyun quickly stopped her, "Xuanxuan, keep this for yourself. You can't be so naive outside."

This girl is so generous; she just called her "sister" and gave her the watch away. She's so honest.

Mo Xuanxuan just covered her mouth and laughed, her eyes unconsciously glancing at a figure.

Chen Yunyun returned the watch to Mo Xuanxuan, and just then, Mo Xuanxuan's family called her back for lunch, so she sent her away.

It was getting late, so Chen Yunyun took out the biscuits from her bag. She and the children each got one, and Rong Yan got five each...

Take out the jar, and use a small spoon to scoop out the filling and wrap it in the cake.

The pancake was well preserved; one bite revealed its crispness and delightful caramelized flavor.

The filling is the soul of the dish, with chopped pickled vegetables wrapped around minced meat. The pickled vegetables also contain small red peppers, making it sour and spicy.

The minced meat, mixed with the aroma of oil, is fragrant, spicy, and flavorful. When eaten with the pancake, it's not greasy at all.

Chen Yunyun finished the pancake in just a few bites, she really enjoyed it!

The aroma of the minced meat was so enticing that the family sitting in the corridor kept glancing over.

The faint aroma of meat in the air made the family swallow hard.

The yellowed cakes in their hands were as hard as stones.

The children's pancakes here, as seen by Chen Yunyun, look both crispy and soft.

The man glanced at his wife, who stood up, straightened her clothes, and walked over. She didn't look at Chen Yunyun; instead, her gaze was fixed on the pancake in the child's hand.

Chen Yunyun asked, "Big sister, is there something you need?"

The woman then looked away, rubbed her hands together, and looked at Chen Yunyun, "Hey, could you share a piece of the pancake with us?"

"My child can't eat anything. I think your pancakes look really good. Could you share some with us?"

That's it...?

Empty pancake?

"Big sister, look at my brother, he eats five in one meal. I really don't have enough pancakes for him. I'm sorry."

A normal person would leave upon hearing a rejection, but that woman stayed instead.

He blurted out, "I just saw you give some to that woman, why won't you share some with us?"

"We've spoken up for you, so why won't you give it to us?"

Chen Yunyun straightened the drool bib of the third child and replied with a smile, "Big sister, that little girl traded a white steamed bun with me, what are you going to trade with me?"

"What kind of lousy pancake is this? They want to trade it for a white steamed bun. They're taking advantage of the young girl's ignorance."

Chen Yunyun replied slowly and calmly, "That's right, my family's pancakes are just cheap. If your family doesn't care for them, don't come here begging for them."

She's come here begging like a beggar!

"you!"

The woman blushed with anger, rolled her eyes, and sat back down, glaring at Chen Yunyun every now and then.

She thought this woman was easy to bully because she had just cried like that. But when she went up to her, she didn't gain anything and instead got herself into trouble.

"Mom, what's wrong?!"

"Have some water, Mom!"

"Suhua, are you feeling better?"

Amidst the panicked commotion, a clear female voice rang out. Chen Yunyun, with her sharp ears, recognized it as Mo Xuanxuan's voice.

She entrusted the children to Rongyan's care and walked over to the next room.

Mo Xuanxuan's mother turned pale, opened her mouth and pointed to her throat, but couldn't say a word.

Mo Xuanxuan and her father were both standing nearby, anxiously asking questions.

Mr. Mo patted Zhang Suhua's back with his palm, trying to dislodge the object stuck in her throat, but to little avail.

Someone nearby suggested giving him some water or making him cough forcefully, but nothing worked.

Chen Yunyun walked over and saw that Zhang Suhua was almost suffocating, so she quickly pushed through the crowd.

"Get out of the way! Don't crowd around here!"

She stepped forward. "Xuanxuan, let me do it."
