Uncovering the Mind-Reading Technique

At the age of five, a fortune teller said that I would be able to see through other people's thoughts when I grow up.

My parents thought I was a genius and devoted the whole family's ...

Chapter 40: Induction and Meteorology

The Gregorian New Year is getting closer, and we seem to hear the footsteps of 2024.

Here, I'd like to write about the weather in 2024. Perhaps you find it rather uncertain. At the end of the 2022 lunar year, you wrote "A Heart as Pure as Ice in a Jade Pot," describing 2023 with three words: "Water, Water, Water."

You finally got it right. Do you dare to take the risk and predict the weather in 2024?

Yes. I'm not some god. But I don't write nonsense either. At least, I have my own unique method, the "Bo Method."

The basis of this theory is [inductive analogy].

First, statistical induction is also a science. For example, sampling surveys and analogies do have a certain degree of accuracy.

As for how I sample, by analogy, I will teach you.

Now let me talk about the meteorological characteristics of 2024:

1. Spring low temperatures. Overall, this Spring Festival is expected to be quite cold. Most of southern China will still experience rainy (or snowy) weather, but the precipitation will be light. Most of northern China will be sunny to cloudy.

From February 6th to 15th, cold air will be active. Even after the Spring Festival, temperatures will remain cold, so please keep warm. This is also the expected weather pattern for spring 2024.

Second, high temperatures in the summer will lead to drought and little rain in many areas, resulting in a poor fruit harvest. If El Niño occurs, 2024 will be a very hot summer.

3. Autumn has a moderate temperature and light. From early autumn to early winter, strong cold air is rare. Pay attention to forest fire prevention in autumn.

4. During the flood season, it is still water, water, water.

In general, 2024 will be: with significantly low temperatures in spring, hot and dry summers, frequent heavy rains after the flood season, and dry and warm autumns and winters.

That’s all I have to say. You need to look at the big picture and not just your hometown or county as the standard.

So, how is this inferred?

Instead of asking me to talk about 2024, I might as well teach you a way to observe things.

2024 is the Year of the Dragon.

I found out all the Years of the Dragon over the past hundred years.

They are:

Group 1: (According to the method of adding to a single digit, we have taught you in the chapter on Chinese Zodiac)

1904=1+4=5, 1940=1+4=5, 1976=1+4=5, 2012=5

From this you can see that these years, the last group and the first group, are separated by 36 years and belong to the same series that adds up to 5.

Group 2:

1916=1+7=8, 1952=1+7=8, 1988=1+7=8, [2024=8]

From this, you can see that these Dragon Years, with each group separated by 36 years, belong to a series that adds up to 8.

Group 3:

1928=1+1=2, 1964=1+1=2, 2000=2, 2036=2

From this, you can see that these Dragon Years, with each group separated by 36 years, belong to a series that sums to 2.

In 2024, it belongs to the second group, the group whose final sum equals 8.

Therefore, we can only infer the weather characteristics of 2024 based on the years of the Dragon (add the total to 8).

Data for 1916 and 1952 are difficult to find, so we looked for meteorological data for 1988.

Using the 1988 meteorological data as a starting point, we can project the forecast for 2024. There are similarities, but they cannot be copied.

Many experts speculate that the Spring Festival will bring a warm winter. Perhaps they are right. I am not an expert.
