...Madam Pei looked troubled, but quickly comforted Pei Minghan.
"This healer is hard to find, but don't worry, we'll find her soon. I've already asked around. No matter the cost, we'll make sure she cures your illness!"
Pei Minghan let out a sigh of relief, lay back down, and said calmly.
"Then hurry up, I want to sleep, you can leave now!"
After saying that, Pei Minghan rolled up the blanket, turned over and faced away from Madam Pei, leaving only the dark back of his head visible.
Madam Pei sighed helplessly and had no choice but to close the door and leave.
The assistant was waiting outside the door. As soon as he saw Madam Pei come out, he subconsciously glanced into the ward.
Madam Pei immediately closed the ward door and gave him a cold and wary look.
"What are you looking at!"
The assistant said.
"I think it's too messy inside. Why don't we find someone to tidy it up for the young master, so that he won't be uncomfortable staying there?"
Madam Pei shook her head.
"He's asleep now. Let's wait until he wakes up before we talk to him. Don't disturb him."
The assistant nodded, and was about to say something when he heard Madam Pei ask again.
"Have you found the person I asked you to find? What about that healer?"
The assistant looked troubled and said to Madam Pei.
"There's been a problem; it'll probably take a few more days."
Madam Pei's gaze instantly turned extremely sharp. She glared fiercely at her assistant, suddenly grabbed his collar, and questioned him in an annoyed tone.
"Wait a few days? Didn't you promise to bring the person over within three days? Why are you making me wait now? Can you even do it?"
The assistant swallowed hard, not daring to provoke the enraged Madam Pei at this moment, and could only explain to her in a low voice.
“My people have already found that immortal healer, but he’s really eccentric. He’s not willing to treat every illness. Right now, he’s not willing to treat me, so I’m still asking my people to think of a solution.”
Upon hearing this, Madam Pei immediately frowned and coldly questioned her.
"Refuse to treat? What do you mean by 'refuse to treat'? She won't treat anyone from our Pei family? She's just a barefoot doctor, yet she dares to pick and choose in front of me!"
The assistant knew that Madam Pei was bound to get angry, so he immediately comforted her.
"Madam, please don't be angry. Let me think of another way. Please allow me to think of another way. I promise I will bring the person to you and let him cure the young master."
Madam Pei barely suppressed her resentment and gave instructions to her assistant.
"Be polite when you ask him for help. After all, we're the ones asking him for a favor, so we should show him the respect he deserves. The only reason he's unwilling to treat my son is because he hasn't paid enough. Just name your price. No matter how much he asks for, as long as he can cure my son, I'll give him whatever it takes!"
The assistant nodded and helped Madam Pei sit down.
“Madam, I understand. You just had dinner with the old master and then rushed to the hospital to see the young master. Why don’t you rest for a while? There are plenty of wards here. How about I have someone open a ward for you to rest in?”
Madam Pei held her forehead, looking haggard and extremely pale.
"How can I possibly rest? Ever since Minghan turned out like this, I haven't been able to sleep a wink, night after night. It's all that little bitch Ye Ningwan's doing! It's one thing for her to marry Pei Fengzhi, but she even tried to harm my son! I will absolutely not let her get away with this!"
The assistant and Madam Pei spoke with one voice, sharing the same hatred for the enemy.
"Don't worry, Madam. Once the eldest branch inherits the Pei family's fortune, you'll have Ye Ningwan completely under your control!"
Madam Pei snorted coldly.
"Wait until I inherit the estate? Hmph, I can't even wait a quarter of an hour. I'm going to make that little bitch pay right now!"
...
In the evening, Ye Ningwan was sitting on the balcony playing on her phone when she suddenly received an email from the middleman who had contacted her earlier that day.
Ye Ning opened the email later and found it was a document.
However, upon opening the document, what caught my eye was Pei Minghan's personal information, with each and every detail clearly written down.
Ye Ningwan snorted coldly.
She knew this guy had ulterior motives. She had already refused, but he hadn't given up and was still eyeing the 22 million.
Sure enough, the other party called again.
Ye Ningwan thought about it and accepted the answer.
"Sister, this time they're really sincere. Don't you want to see their sincerity? I think it's absolutely genuine. Not to mention me, even you... I guarantee that after hearing their sincerity, you'll definitely agree to it!"
Ye Ningwan didn't speak because she knew that this person always liked to talk to himself. Even if she didn't make a sound from beginning to end, the other person could talk to himself for a long time.
Sure enough, as they gathered, the other side said...
"Let me tell you, the other party is giving you a whole hundred million! A whole hundred million! It's all for you! Don't worry, I'll still give you the referral fee we agreed on before."
"Of course, if you feel it's not enough, they said you can name any price you want, and they'll agree to whatever it is, guaranteeing no haggling!"
"Please reconsider! I think this is feasible, really!"
"..."
Ye Ningwan yawned deeply, feeling that the person on the other end of the phone was talking incessantly, making her almost sleepy.
Finally, she impatiently interrupted the other person, saying something she could no longer tolerate.
