Chapter 645 All Things Compete Freely Under the Frosty Sky @The Forest Without Flowers (Movie)

The film "The Forest Without Flowers," nominated for the Film Festival's Best Picture Awards and featuring two leading actresses, is set to release on December 5th!

Some say the best things in the world are cavalry, infantry, and fleets. But to me, the best thing is love in the heart.

I know that things in this world can never go as planned. But it is better to remember what we shared than to forget it.

Director/Screenwriter: Luo Yao @CamelBellCanYaoStillBeCalledCamel?

Starring: Ye Chu (@叶初Leaves) and Yang Huanyi (@杨唤宜) (in no particular order, listed alphabetically by last name)

The accompanying image is a poster for "The Forest Without Flowers".

Glass window.

It seemed to be raining outside the window; a thin mist and dripping water were clinging to the glass.

There seemed to be a blurry grove of trees in the distance outside the window. In the foreground, near the window, was a tree whose trunk was barely visible. A blood-red maple leaf drifted down from the tree.

The main subject of the poster is a side profile of a woman's upper body. The woman walks past a window, and the photo is not very clear, like a casually taken Polaroid shot with a grainy texture. Her face is not clearly visible; one can only vaguely make out that she appears to be wearing a cheongsam in the style of the Republic of China era.

The woman's forehead and the top of her head were partially visible, but the area below her forehead, up to her neck, was completely covered by the fallen maple leaf.

Both the woman and the maple leaf are separated by this glass pane.

A raindrop slid down the window and landed precisely on the surface of a maple leaf, right in front of the woman's eyes.

Inside the window is half a table, on which lies a letter with illegible handwriting. The table and the window frame together frame the woman outside, making her look like an old, worn-out photograph.

At the top of the poster, the movie title is spelled out in old-fashioned traditional Chinese characters—like the font used in old advertisements in Taiwan or Hong Kong:

A forest without flowers.

Director/Screenwriter: Luo Yao

Starring: Ye Chu, Yang Huanyi

Luo Yao has excellent taste; the poster for "The Forest Without Flowers" has a very high-quality feel. Clicking on the larger image, a desolate atmosphere of a bygone era immediately comes to mind. A chaotic era, chaotic letters, chaotic maple leaf veins. A distorted and chaotic past.

Unfortunately, few people appreciated the poster. Fans were more interested in another detail: there was only one person in the image, but the lead actor's name was listed twice!
