Infected at the start and exiled to the City of Strange Species.

The magnificent presidential palace resembles a wild beast that preys on its prey in the darkness.
Countless dark figures moved about in the night, and Hagrid's figure, dragging something among them, did not seem so out of place.
Just as he was about to enter the small building on the side of the presidential palace, a man suddenly blocked his way, his voice arrogant: "Why are you back so late? Were you slacking off?"
The other person's gaze swept over Hagrid from head to toe: "Or...did you betray my lord?"
Hagrid was taller than the man, but he was still visibly sweating. Following Gu Li's instructions, he calmly lifted the bag in his hand as a gesture.
“There was a minor incident on the road, and she spotted me.”
The man looked at the humanoid figure stuffed in the sack and sneered, "Our merciful Hagrid actually dared to take action? Alright, don't just throw everything at the Mother Goddess, bury it anywhere."
He was about to leave after he finished speaking.
Hagrid's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, finally settled down. He remained silent and walked toward the side door, when suddenly his wrist, which was holding the sack, was grabbed.
“Wait, the side building is short of a cleaner,” the man sniffed the air and revealed a satisfied smile. “You’re a woman, aren’t you?”
"If you're obedient, you can stay and work."
Hagrid nodded stiffly.
After a while, he walked through the long corridor and finally turned into a room. He put the sack on the ground and opened the sack: "Come out."
Gu Li poked his head out of his pocket and looked around. It was a room full of clutter, with a small area that had been cleared out to place a single bed.
Another suit of armor was hanging on the wall.
"Is this your room?"
Gu Li raised an eyebrow.
Hagrid glanced at her, took off his helmet, revealing his head, which was deformed by the helmet, with his eyes bulging out and hanging precariously above his nose.
He seemed somewhat uncomfortable, yet determined to reveal his terrifying side to Gu Li in front of her, so he silently stared at her with that face.
He seemed to hope she would be scared off, yet also somewhat afraid of her gaze.
"This is my room. I'll take you upstairs in a bit."
Gu Li's gaze swept across his face. His swollen neck was stuck in the armor, no wonder his voice sounded like he had ten pounds of phlegm stuck in it.
Her gaze shifted from him to the things piled up in the room, and she couldn't help but reach out and rummage through them, then looked at the bags of weapons and guns.
Gu Li paused for a moment, then said, "Wow."
"The confiscated items are all piled up here?!"
Seeing that she was unmoved by his appearance, Hagrid quickly and laboriously put his helmet back on, and getting his eyes focused on the window again was a difficult task.
He stretched two fingers through the viewing window to try and straighten his eyes, and replied, "These are all worthless items. The more dangerous or valuable ones are in the hands of the people upstairs."
Gu Li thought of her exquisite sword inlaid with gemstones and regretfully withdrew her hand. She couldn't wait for Hagrid to take her upstairs.
"Or I can go for a walk by myself and come right back."
Hagrid stopped her, his view through the window limited to only one eye. He looked at her with a stern expression, saying, "No! Don't do anything rash. It's very, very dangerous here!"
"If you offend any of these things that suddenly appear, you might not even have to take this step; you'll be dead on the spot!"
After being lectured by the furious Hagrid, Gu Li was taken upstairs. Looking at Hagrid walking ahead, she said calmly, "You don't need to worry about your daughter. Henry may be a little abnormal, but he is still a general in Grantham. He won't do anything despicable."
Rather, it's more accurate to say that Anneville would be safer with Henry there.
Hagrid paused slightly: "I understand."
He led Gu Li to a room and knocked on the door: "Just pretend I'm rambling, listen, the secret to surviving here is to be a blind and deaf blockhead."
The door was quickly opened, and a woman in a black and white dress glanced at Gu Li and asked in a calm tone, "A newcomer?"
Hagrid's voice was even colder than hers: "The person Billy wants."
"Okay, come in."
The woman didn't question Gu Li's age. After letting her into the room, she continued to sit at the table muttering to herself, ignoring everything else.
Gu Li, with her sharp eyes, noticed that there was a Bible in front of her—a local edition.
Well, they were the ones who interrupted her prayer.
Gu Li walked around the room on her own. There were six beds in the room, but only this woman was here now. The other beds showed signs of having been used.
It seems some roommates haven't come back yet.
Gu Li consciously took a quilt from the corner and placed it on the only empty bed. She then walked around the room again, during which the woman, as expected, remained as still as a wooden statue, showing no reaction to her actions whatsoever.
She glanced in the direction of the door, tentatively walked over, and reached out to grasp the doorknob.
A woman's voice came from very close by: "I advise you not to go out now; it's their activity time."
Gu Li's heart skipped a beat as she gripped the doorknob. She slowly turned around and met the woman's gaze as she looked down at her. The woman was standing very close to her, and Gu Li was certain she hadn't heard her footsteps.
It was as if she had always been here.
Gu Li looked at her inquisitively: "What if I insist on going out?"
The woman fell silent, her eyes clearly conveying the message: "You can't reason with a damned devil."
Gu Li chuckled dryly. At that moment, a dense chorus of footsteps sounded outside the door, each footstep pausing briefly as it passed through the doorway.
She could almost imagine that the group of things outside, whether human or ghost, would subconsciously cast greedy glances in this direction as they passed by.
Gu Li: Oh no, I want to go out and see the world even more now.
The woman only gave a reminder, and when Gu Li opened the door again, she simply lowered her head and recited.
The corridor was pitch black. All the footsteps from before had gone to the right. Gu Li glanced at the darkness on the left and resolutely walked to the right.
Bellamy's situation is not optimistic; the mysterious cult may act even faster than they imagine.
Hagrid's appearance on the street, which accelerated the mutation, is proof of this.
She walked on the carpeted floor, wondering what those things from earlier were. The carpet felt sticky to walk on, and liquid would stick to the soles of her shoes when she lifted her feet.
There were several more rooms on the right side of the corridor, but the last room had an eerie atmosphere. Its door was covered with countless handprints, and the door frame was corroded beyond recognition.
Gu Li carefully examined it for a while by the faint moonlight.
The polluted smell was so strong that she could barely smell it, and she couldn't hear anything coming from inside the door.
There are two possibilities.
First, once those things enter the room, they lose their ability to move.
Secondly, they deliberately stopped their actions just a wall away, luring the victim into a trap.
