"A paladin?"

Meld, standing in the castle, saw everything below and was somewhat curious about the human paladin who stood with the tribe.

As the old man continued chanting, a huge circular teleportation array appeared above the black hole in the sky, making the black hole seem extremely small.

“Melder…”

Upon seeing the teleportation array, Malagon frowned and his expression became serious. He seemed unsurprised by its appearance, yet also deeply worried.

"What's meant to happen will happen; it's not something you or I can stop!"

"All we can do is try to prevent things from developing in a bad direction!"

After the teleportation array appeared, Meld no longer cared about the battle with Garp below, but focused all his attention on the teleportation array above his head.

Before long, a gigantic eyeball, resembling that of a wild beast, appeared at the entrance to the teleportation array. It surveyed everything in Ashfurnace City, seemingly searching for something that would interest it.

Fortunately, he didn't spend much time. He was first attracted by the black hole standing below and took a closer look. The vertical pupils of the eyes seemed very excited, but in the instant it was happy, the huge eyeballs rolled a few times and immediately collided with Meld and Maragon's eyes before shifting to Catherine's position.

The eyeballs seemed to shoot out a sharp light, revealing an extremely fanatical excitement towards Catherine, who was shrouded in black mist.

The eyeball disappeared from the location of the teleportation array, but immediately a huge hand reached down from the portal and headed directly towards Catherine's location.

"Bang!"

Melder's shield trembled violently, causing the entire castle to shake.

"You go in too!"

Melder said something to Maragon without turning his head, but his staff was already raised high.

The giant hand retracted into the sky, and the vertical pupil reappeared. This time, its gaze fell on Meld, clearly indicating that it had realized who was hindering its progress.

The giant eye disappeared, but the hand reached down again. This time, however, the giant hand held a blood-red axe, which was entirely blood-red, as if it had just been taken out of the blood pool.

Upon seeing the axe, Meld couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat.

He straightened his back, trying to make himself look ready.

When Maragon saw the battle axe appear, his expression turned grim. He drew his steel sword from his waist, and a holy light burst forth from his body, enveloping the steel sword in his hand as well.

"Boom!"

As the blood-red battle axe fell, the shield protecting Catherine's head shattered instantly. Meld's figure flashed and appeared at the bottom of the giant axe, while a huge blue elemental autumn condensed at the end of his staff, desperately holding back the falling battle axe.

Maragon shouted and joined in, gripping his steel sword horizontally with both hands and swinging it upwards with all his might.

However, things did not go as Maragon had expected. The marble floor beneath his feet began to crack, and his feet began to sink into the floor. Meld's straight back, which had been standing upright, also began to fall backward.

Melder turned his head with difficulty to look at Maragon behind him and saw that the tiger's mouth of his hands was also split open, and blood was flowing from the tiger's mouth, sliding down his arms and staining the silver wrist guards red.

He glanced again at Catherine, who was shrouded in black mist, then suddenly frowned, vanished from his spot, and reappeared behind Maragon.

He grabbed the back of Maragon's armor by the collar, activated his teleport skill again, created distance between himself and Catherine, and hovered above the castle.

The crimson battle axe suddenly lost its resistance and cleaved straight down.

"boom--"

Half of the castle collapsed in an instant, but Catherine was unharmed.

"See? All these years have passed, and I still can't beat this guy!"

Melder chuckled sheepishly, accepting the outcome with amusement.

"After all, he is the Lord of the Abyss. This damned warlock always manages to send him out to cause trouble!"

Maragong could only smile helplessly.

The old man, who had already removed his hood, looked at the collapsed castle with a satisfied smile on his lips.
