"Sir, are you alright?"
The shield bearers protecting Hawkins did not break formation; they merely inquired about Hawkins' condition verbally.
"I'm fine, I'm not going to die!"
Hawkins struggled to his feet; it seemed that Melder's attack was indeed quite powerful.
However, to Meld and Karp's surprise, this man was able to stand up even after being hit head-on by Meld's magic, which gave them a new understanding of his strength.
"Holy Light, grant me strength!"
Hawkins suddenly raised his steel sword to the sky, shouting words of holy light.
A golden beam of light descended from the sky, landing directly on Hawkins, nourishing his injured skin and granting him new power.
"Impossible, how could this be?"
Karp was somewhat shocked.
"You're a paladin? But you've sided with the Horde! You've disgraced the name of the paladin, you've defiled the holiness of the Holy Light!"
Karp looked at Hawkins, who was already blessed by the Holy Light, with disdain, and believed that he had used some kind of evil magic to evade the judgment of the Holy Light.
“I have never turned my back on the Holy Light, and the Holy Light has always been guiding my way!”
His injuries had completely healed, and he felt stronger than before.
"Since the Holy Light is temporarily blinded, I will personally cleanse it of you, who have tarnished its name!"
Karp was indignant. He had his own unwavering faith and conviction in the Holy Light and would not tolerate any desecration by others.
"The Hand of Judgment?"
"Heh, you have no right to punish me on behalf of the Holy Light. I am still favored by the Holy Light!"
Hawkins's nonchalant attitude made Karp even angrier.
