Aren't you coming out yet?
"If you don't come out now, I'm leaving!"
After killing the undead rogue, Karp did not leave. Instead, he stood there with his greatsword in both hands, seemingly waiting for someone.
"Clap clap clap..."
A round of applause came from the front.
"The Hand of Judgment truly lives up to its name; even a thief couldn't dodge a single blow!"
A figure walked towards Garp, followed by ten fully armed men.
"Humans?"
"Although it was a bit unexpected, it was also within expectations!"
Garp pulled the greatsword from the ground and held it horizontally in front of him.
"I'm no match for you. My only goal is to keep you occupied, so don't blame me for ganging up on you!"
The man was wearing a helmet that only revealed his eyes, making it impossible to see his face clearly.
"Looks like an old acquaintance, but I wonder which one?"
Garp looked at the person in front of him with amusement, choosing to completely ignore the people behind him.
"We're not exactly acquaintances, but I've long admired your reputation. If you truly have great abilities, you can certainly take off my helmet and take a look!"
This man remained unfazed even when facing Garp.
"I noticed you were hiding in the shadows the whole time, only showing yourself after I killed this thief. It seems you harbor some hostility towards these rats of the tribe. If I'm not mistaken, you're probably part of the Alliance army, right? As for which army, perhaps we'll only find out after we kill you and take off your helmet!"
As he spoke, Karp moved closer to the man's location.
The man was none other than Knight Hawkins. After Karp finished speaking, fine beads of sweat appeared on his back.
This Field Marshal Karp is indeed a difficult person; he deduced some of Hawkins' identity just from the clues at hand.
However, while sighing, Hawkins was also somewhat relieved, after all, he was also a member of the Alliance. It was the Alliance's good fortune to have such an outstanding commander. After Prince Barton's cooperation with the Horde was completed, there would still be a bloody war between the Alliance and the Horde.
However, given the current situation, his task now is to stall Garp and keep things moving in the direction of their plan.
He drew his steel sword from his waist and held it horizontally in front of him, ready for Garp's attack.
"Whoosh!"
Garp charged forward, leaving a trail of afterimages behind him.
"Clang!"
In the blink of an eye, Garp's greatsword had already slashed down on Hawkins' steel sword, pushing Hawkins back more than ten steps, leaving a deep trench in his feet.
"ha!"
The ten figures behind him shouted and charged toward Garp with their shields raised.
Garp withdrew his greatsword and took several steps back.
He dared not be careless in the face of ten well-trained shield bearers. He had already realized that these ten men had been specially selected to counter his attack.
The shield bearers walked side by side, and upon encountering Hawkins, they immediately made way for him, allowing him to pass, before instantly reverting to their original, impenetrable form.
"That's interesting!"
Garp did not retreat, but stood there.
He unbuttoned his shirt, letting it hang down in front of him, which was quite convenient for him since he wasn't wearing any armor.
His shirt had just been unbuttoned, revealing his scarred upper body, but the well-defined muscles also showed the strength contained within.
He reached his left hand toward the greatsword in his right hand, then suddenly pulled it to the side, instantly transforming the greatsword into two equally wide, silver-white longswords.
Dual Sword Style!
"Looks like you're serious!"
Hawkins, who was hiding behind the shield bearer, couldn't help but mutter something under his breath after seeing Garp's fighting stance.
"Not many people know about my Dual Sword Style. This old acquaintance might be someone from the palace!"
Upon hearing Hawkins' words, Karp adjusted his combat stance and calmly replied.
Hawkins fell silent, fearing that if he continued speaking, Garp would truly discover his identity.
"Whoosh!"
Garp vanished from his spot once more, his twin swords already slashing at the shield in front of Hawkins. The immense force caused the shield-wielding soldier to fall to the ground, a sight that startled Hawkins and significantly raised his assessment of Garp's combat prowess.
The soldiers on either side of the soldier quickly stepped aside to help, pushing the shield back up, which had already been lowered.
Seeing this, Garp didn't linger in the fight. He flipped over and leaped behind him again, holding two steel swords diagonally, pointing them at the ground.
His eyes were fixed on Hawkins, who was surrounded in the middle, and he moved his feet slowly.
The shield bearers also kept a wary distance from Garp. Their goal was not to kill him, but to keep him occupied, so they were in no hurry to attack.
"Boom!"
A thunderclap boomed, and a bolt of lightning suddenly struck down from the clear sky, hitting Hawkins directly while he was being protected by the shield bearers.
Hawkins knelt on one knee, using his other hand to grip the longsword and prop himself up on the ground, panting heavily.
He looked up at the castle with a face full of resentment, while Meld, in his robes, was looking at him with amusement.
"I don't think Garp will mind my intervention this time!"
Melder glanced at Maragon somewhat guiltily, but the latter merely shrugged, seemingly unwilling to offer any opinion.
