Family, let me tell you something: I transmigrated, but it feels like I didn't fully! Except for this 21st-century brain, I brought nothing else over!

Other people transmigrate and either...

Chapter 26 Joey, the Submissive

The sailboat continued its journey, and the coastal town behind them had disappeared on the horizon. The pursuing hellfire could not keep up with the speed of the sailboat.

"Big Beard, come and take the helm!"

Joey gave a shout, and before the bearded man even arrived, he had already dropped the rudder and headed toward Catherine.

It should be said that Lady Catherine was exhausted from crying and screaming, and was hanging upside down.

"The quiet Catherine is more in line with my expectations!"

Joey muttered to himself and slowly loosened the ropes of the auxiliary sail.

"Waaaaah..."

As the jib descended, Catherine followed and landed back on the sailboat. However, Catherine, now covered by the jib, began to sob softly.

This put Joey in a difficult position.

He might stand his ground a few times if he resorts to violence, but when he sees a beautiful woman crying her eyes out in front of him, his heart softens instantly.

He glanced at Daines sitting at the bow, thinking of asking him to come over and help Catherine move the jib and comfort her. But when Daines saw Joey looking at him, he simply lay down on the edge of the boat and pretended to be asleep.

"You're all a bunch of bastards! We rescued you from the wolf's den, and we didn't get anything in return!"

Joey was a little annoyed, but he still slowly cleaned the secondary sail and got Catherine out of there.

"Waaaaah..."

She continued to weep, covering her face, as if she had suffered a great injustice; the tears simply could not be stopped.

"Lady Catherine?"

"Those were special circumstances; I was just trying to protect your safety!"

"The few people at the outpost can't stop the orc army at all. Even if Puff and Captain Irene had three heads and six arms, there's nothing they could do!"

"You didn't see those people who sacrificed themselves to protect you. Their heads were chopped off, their stomachs were ripped open, and their intestines spilled out!"

"You saw those hellfires too; they're something we can't possibly contend with!"

Joey tried to persuade him a few times, saying that if it could work out, great, but if not, so be it.

"He...he...they're all dead?"

Catherine suddenly wiped away her tears and calmed down a little.

"Captain Puff and Captain Eileen weren't quite sure, but we had already left Tiger Stone Mountain by then, yet those ten female soldiers truly died right before our eyes!"

Seeing that Catherine was moved, Joey's attitude softened a bit.

"Dains!"

Catherine suddenly turned to Daines, who was pretending to be asleep, and asked him a question.

"They fought bravely and did not bring shame to Grayfurnace City!"

Knowing he could no longer pretend to be asleep, Daines stood up and said.

"I have remembered their heroic actions!"

Catherine finally stopped crying, but his next words made Joey's anus tighten.

"I've remembered that slap you gave me!"

"No, Lady Catherine, I fought bravely too! I carried you all the way from Tiger Stone Mountain onto this ship!"

Joey quickly pledged his loyalty, saying that although he had decided to part ways with them as soon as the ship docked, it would be best if they could resolve their feud on this small boat.

"Now that you mention it, I remember now, you're the one who knocked me out!"

Catherine chuckled softly, a laugh that nearly made Joey's heart leap out of his chest.

"Damn it, this woman holds a grudge. If I can't deal with her in a month, I'd better never run into her again in this lifetime. If I do, it'll be the end of my life!"

Joey muttered to himself, that slap did make him feel good, but it made the relationship worse. Sure enough, going against the boss comes at a price.

You enjoyed yourself for a moment, but regretted it for a lifetime.

"Lady Catherine, it was all due to circumstances. Please forgive me, I'm so magnanimous!"

After Joey finished speaking, he rummaged through a pile of supplies on the ship, pulled out a jug of water, and handed it to Catherine.

"You must be tired from your journey and thirsty. Have some water first, and if you're hungry, you can have something to eat!"

Catherine hadn't expected Joey to change his attitude so quickly; he seemed like a completely different person.

A true man can bend and stretch. Even Han Xin endured the humiliation of crawling between someone's legs. It's nothing for me, Joey Brown, to suffer a little injustice. This is another way to survive in the workplace.

This time, I'll play the submissive role and be served well by you, my great-aunt.

Catherine resumed her usual arrogant demeanor, took the water jug, and began to drink.

Perhaps she was really thirsty, because she didn't care about her image anymore and drank in a hurry. A lot of water flowed from the corners of her mouth and slid into the abyss of her chest.

Joey swallowed hard, hesitating to speak.

This time, he really didn't have any other thoughts. He just felt a little sorry to see the water flowing out. After all, fresh water was a scarce resource at sea, and some of the supplies had just been washed away by the sea. They had to use the remaining supplies sparingly.

But Joey was afraid of accidentally angering Catherine again, so he didn't say anything more.

"Bring me that bag of bread!"

Whether Catherine was genuinely hungry or deliberately trying to get Joey to do something, she had just finished drinking water and was now demanding bread.

Joey dared not provoke her any further, so he handed her another bag of bread. It seemed that this month's worth of supplies would be completely consumed by Lady Catherine in just a few days.

By then, your slender waist will have turned into a giant pumpkin, or maybe a watermelon.

"By the way, Grand Scholar Daines, the group of orcs that rushed out of the port just now seemed to be injured. They must have retreated from Tiger Stone Mountain, but many of them have burn marks on their bodies. What happened?"

Having escaped danger, Joey didn't want to talk to this old lady anymore, lest he say something that might cause trouble. It would be safer to chat with this scholar.

You noticed it too?
