"What are you doing? Are you going to drive that way?"
Catherine was terrified, and her fear intensified when she saw Joey pointing the bow of the ship toward Hellfire.
"shut your mouth!"
"Beat the wind and waves, or you'll be overturned by them!"
Joey yelled at Catherine in an annoyed tone.
This woman clearly doesn't understand anything, yet she loves to give orders blindly; she's a micro-management expert.
When there are large waves at sea, ships must not sail parallel to the waves; the best option is to break through the waves.
I saw this by chance on a science and education channel in my previous life.
After being rebuked, Catherine became much more obedient, not because she was convinced, but because she couldn't do anything to Joey. Her status as the daughter of the city lord was no longer effective here.
Bang!
A giant wave crashed down, slamming heavily onto the sailboat. Much of the cargo was swept away by the seawater, but no one cared. Everyone clung tightly to the sailboat, afraid that the aftershocks of the wave would carry them into the sea as well.
"roar--"
A roar of a strange beast came from the seawater, indicating that Hellfire had regained its human form.
Hurry up!
Joey shouted again, then turned the rudder, and the sailboat immediately turned around on the spot at sea, heading back in the direction it had just set out to.
The group was pulled tightly against the hull of the sailboat by the enormous centrifugal force, unable to move.
"Big Beard, open the auxiliary sail!"
Having just completed a neat U-turn, Joey called out to Big Beard again.
Which one is the auxiliary sail?
The bearded man looked at the pile of canvas beside him, unsure of what to do with it.
"Pull hard on that rope right next to your feet!"
Joey gestured with his eyes to the rope at the bearded man's feet, signaling him to hurry up and get moving.
Upon receiving the order, the bearded man immediately complied, grabbing the rope beside his feet and pulling hard.
The secondary sail was successfully raised, and the sailboat's speed instantly increased significantly.
But just as the auxiliary sail rose, a sharp scream rang out.
"ah--"
It turned out that when Catherine was frantically trying to dodge, her feet accidentally stepped into the ropes of the jib. This time, the bearded man pulled hard, and she ended up hanging upside down on the jib with her legs tied.
Her magnificent long dress was completely soaked by the seawater, and now, due to gravity as discovered by Newton, it hung down, completely covering her head.
The bearded man and Joey couldn't help but glance at the pale, white thighs, then exclaimed in unison with a laugh, "White!"
Catherine seemed to understand what they were saying and angrily shouted, "Don't look! Put me down right now!"
"My dear Lady Catherine, I'm afraid I'll have to trouble you for a bit. The Hellfire is chasing us, and I dare not take off the siding right now!"
Joey admired the beautiful scenery before him and directly refused Catherine's request.
"Dains!"
Catherine was both ashamed and angry, and she called out to Daines again.
Daines craned his neck to look at the Hellfire chasing after the sailboat, gave Joey an awkward smile, and chose to pretend he hadn't heard.
At the current speed of the sailboat, Hellfire definitely can't catch up, and Joey can finally relax his tense nerves a little.
He steered with one hand and began to think about how he would spend the next month with Lady Catherine on this cramped sailboat.
