Family, let me tell you something: I transmigrated, but it feels like I didn't fully! Except for this 21st-century brain, I brought nothing else over!
Other people transmigrate and either...
"I'll take a nap this afternoon and then we'll do it tonight!"
Joey didn't even look up. The lunch was indeed quite delicious, even better than breakfast.
"Sleeping all afternoon? Going out at night doesn't seem very safe!"
Grandma Mary Sue put down her spoon and looked at Joey, who was eating heartily, with a hint of worry on her face.
"He's a pig, he eats like one, and his love of sleeping is just like one of them!"
Although Catherine stepped aside, she kept an eye on Joey, and when she heard his words, she couldn't help but make a sarcastic remark.
"Hey, you can say that to me, because I was born in the Year of the Pig!"
Joey muttered something dismissively and continued eating in silence.
"I don't want to go out at night either. After all, who wants to work the night shift? Since that thing only operates at night, I have no choice but to sacrifice my looks and work overtime to set up a sting operation!"
This was his response to the question from the old lady Mary Sue; after all, he was obligated to answer her question since he had accepted her offer.
"What do you think that is? Could it be Vivian?"
Grandma Mary Sue had no appetite at all. She was worried not only about Joey, but also about the thing that was going to appear that night.
She both hoped that the thing that hurt her wasn't Vivian, and yet she longed for news of Vivian.
"I don't know, but whoever it is, we'll find out tonight!"
Joey finally finished the food in his bowl. He looked up, struck what he thought was a cool pose, and tried to show off.
There are still two grains of rice on the corner of your mouth!
Catherine's voice came through again, at an inopportune moment.
Sigh, another failed attempt to show off. Joey was somewhat disheartened.
Joey stuck out her tongue and licked the rice from the corner of her mouth into her stomach. She then turned her head and lay down on the stool, falling asleep immediately. Although she was asleep, Joey wasn't actually sleepy; she was just trying to ease the awkward atmosphere.
"What an idiot!"
Catherine stopped looking at him and began to eat slowly and deliberately.
