Qin Luo traveled to a world of cultivation where demons ran rampant. To protect himself, he came to the Dragon and Tiger Monastery to learn from a master, only to find out that his master was a swi...
"I see."
Qin Luo understood this principle.
Offering incense comes at a price; at Longhu Temple, Zhang Fulong is expending the people's good fortune.
Is Venerable Kasyapa in the temple?
“The Venerable One is not in the temple. He likes to travel around and should be practicing asceticism somewhere in the Boundless Heaven.”
Qin Luo cupped his hands and said, "Thank you, senior."
The old abbot waved his hand.
After leaving the Palm Temple, Qin Luo did not go to the Asura Heaven via the Lotus Platform, but wanted to visit the Boundless Heaven first.
Unlike the Lower Three Heavens, the Boundless Heaven has very little golden mist, but Qin Luo sensed a strong aura of fortune and rushed towards it.
Deep in the desert, yellow sand churns.
A wave of heat emanated from the ground, and an old monk in tattered robes walked alone through the yellow sand.
The old monk suddenly stopped.
Qin Luo, dressed in white, appeared before the old man and bowed respectfully. "I presume you are Venerable Kasyapa, senior?"
Venerable Kasyapa raised his head. He was thin as a rake, with dark skin, but his eyes were bright and piercing. He wore a kind smile. "I am Kasyapa. May I ask how you address me, my friend?"
"Longhu Temple, Qin Luo."
"So it was Master Qin."
Qin Luo asked with a smile, "Senior, are you in arduous cultivation?"
Venerable Kasyapa smiled with narrowed eyes, “Many people may think this is asceticism, but if you don’t feel the suffering, it doesn’t count as asceticism. This humble monk wants to experience all the suffering in the world and complete true asceticism.”
Qin Luo joked, "My junior sister once said when she was little that as long as you can endure hardship, there will be no end to the hardship."
“Your junior sister has wisdom. The sea of suffering is boundless. There is too much suffering in this world. I think the most painful thing is loneliness. Enduring loneliness is more difficult than practicing silent meditation. That is why I am a loner. What do you think is the most painful thing?”
Venerable Kasyapa gazed at Qin Luo.
Qin Luo didn't think much of it, "Live."
"Why?"
"I don't know, there's no reason."
Qin Luo smiled and shook his head, then added, "Being alive is the greatest happiness."
Venerable Kasyapa nodded, “Fellow Daoist is right. Many things don’t need a reason. Just being alive is enough.”
Where does this fellow Daoist wish to go?
"Travel through the nine heavens and journey beyond the heavens."
Venerable Kasyapa raised his head, first looking towards the heavens, then at Qin Luo, his expression turning serious. "Fellow Daoist, do you also wish to become the master of this world?"
"I am just a passerby."
Qin Luo smiled and shook his head.
Venerable Kasyapa resumed his kind smile, "Then, fellow Daoist, whom will you support when you go to the outer heavens?"
"We'll see how I feel then."
Qin Luo did not give a clear answer.
Venerable Kasyapa smiled broadly, “As expected of a cultivator, you can do whatever you want.”
Qin Luo asked curiously, "Whom do you support, senior?"
Venerable Kasyapa said earnestly, "None of them are perfect. It's a pity that the Buddha has to stay in the outer realms, otherwise the Buddha would definitely be the most suitable candidate."
"And what about the founder of Confucianism?"
Qin Luo asked.
Venerable Kasyapa shook his head slightly. “I think the Buddha is more suitable than the Confucian patriarch. The Confucian patriarch is more inclined towards the human race, while the Buddha cares about sentient beings. I have debated with the Confucian sage of the Great Yu Heaven many times, and neither of us is willing to admit defeat. Fellow Daoist, who do you think is more suitable, the Buddha or the Confucian patriarch?”
"have no idea."
Qin Luo hadn't thought about this question.
Venerable Kasyapa stretched out his hand, and a golden lotus appeared in his palm, formed from the Qi of destiny. "This is the Golden Lotus of Destiny born from the Boundless Heaven. I hope you can help me send this Golden Lotus of Destiny to the future ruler of the Three Realms."
"Does the senior trust me?"
"It is Buddha who believes in you."
Venerable Kasyapa said meaningfully, "The Buddha foresaw your arrival and asked me to convey a message to you: even if you are surrounded by suffering, this vow will never waver!"
Qin Luo received the Golden Lotus of Fortune from Venerable Kasyapa. He recalled what he often said to Little Dumpling and now felt a little regretful. He only hoped that she hadn't listened and could live a carefree life.
