Synopsis: [From the perspective of the Uke]
Song Shu is a squirrel demon. His magic power is low, and his human form is unstable. But on Spirit Mountain, Song Shu is the best at finding food ...
Chapter 13
Song Shu had only been at Xiaoyao Gate for half a month, but he had already become familiar with the two boys Bai Feng and Bai Yue, and had even greeted Bai Quan twice.
After all, Bai Quan had given him spiritual fruit, and Song Shu remembered it.
Having agreed to go to the Spirit Garden with Bai Feng and Bai Yue to pick immortal herbs today, Song Shu used his claws to stroke Qin Mian's hair and urged, "Gugugugu!"
Hurry up, food thief, the rat is in a hurry!
"What are you urging me to do?"
Putting down the book in his hand, Qin Mian disagreed: "You just go out and play all day long. I told you to practice well but you just don't listen."
Ever since he knew that Song Shu had no problem practicing, Qin Mian gave the little squirrel some pills to help with his practice every day, and even taught him how to meditate and practice.
At night, the little squirrel would sit cross-legged next to Qin Mian. Both the big and the small squirrel would close their eyes and practice.
But Song Shu was always distracted. He would fall to the side and faint while sitting. When he woke up, he was lying in Qin Mian's palm again.
Song Shu was not convinced and shouted at Qin Mian fiercely: "Gugu!"
Mouse is doing business!
Qin Mian: "How dare you be so violent!"
Song Shu: "Gu!" So fierce!
The man and the rat confronted each other for about a moment. Qin Mian quickly stood up resigned to his fate and said leisurely, "I understand. I'll take you out right away."
If I had known this earlier, I would not have let the little squirrel hang out with Bai Feng and Bai Yue. I would have wanted to go out and play all day long, and even asked the two boys to go out and play with me when they were working.
After getting some sewing experience from Xuanxu, Qin Mian's skills have improved greatly recently. He has sewn several pieces of clothes in a row, and they were all accepted by the little squirrel.
Since it was spring now and not too cold, he learned to make a few cross-collared long gowns for Song Shu with various patterns and colors. If you didn't know them, you would think they were the clothes of some little girl in the boudoir.
"You have to get used to wearing clothes."
Holding up his pea-green gown, Qin Mian said earnestly, "If you ever become a human, you can't run around naked."
Raising his arm and letting Qin Mian pass his sleeve through his arm, Song Shu nonchalantly made a "gu" sound.
The rat knows.
After putting on the clothes, Qin Mian tied the belt for Song Shu, and suddenly found a few gray-white hairs between his fingers. They were the hairs on the back of the little squirrel.
"You've been losing hair more and more recently." Qin Mian said distressedly, "Squirrel, you're not really going bald, are you?"
A hairless little squirrel appeared in his mind. Qin Mian paused and glanced at the indifferent little squirrel. He was determined that even if the little squirrel really lost its hair, he would not show any disgust.
Otherwise, it would be too heartbreaking.
Raising his paw to give Qin Mian a slap, Song Shu said disdainfully, "Gugu!"
The mouse is about to shed its fur!
The grain thief is the bald one!
"Okay, okay, I won't tell you."
Seeing that the little squirrel was getting anxious again, Qin Mian could only put him on his shoulder and said helplessly: "Okay, let's go to the Lingyuan and stop making trouble."
So Song Shu stood on Qin Mian's shoulder, held his ear, and went out with a heroic and high-spirited look.
Bai Feng and Bai Yue have already arrived at the spiritual garden. The two boys have accepted the task of collecting the wind spirit grass and sending it to the alchemy elder. Then they will get some of the wages from the pills made from the wind spirit grass.
Both of them were holding small bamboo baskets. When they saw Song Shu coming, they quickly waved and said, "Squirrel, here!"
"Come quickly, I left you a piece of osmanthus cake!"
"Gu!"
The rat is coming!
Seeing Bai Feng and Bai Yue, Song Shu jumped off Qin Mian, ignoring Qin Mian's words to "slow down", and ran towards the second boy in a hurry.
Bai Yue took out the oil paper from her bosom and opened it to reveal a piece of light yellow osmanthus cake. It smelled fragrant and was very appetizing.
"Eat quickly."
Bai Yue whispered to Song Shu, "I'll leave the search for the Wind Spirit Grass to you later."
Bai Feng and Bai Yue discovered that Song Shu was particularly talented in finding spiritual herbs. The spiritual herbs he selected were always of excellent quality and rich in spiritual energy.
The spiritual herbs sent to the Alchemy Elder the first two times were very good. The Alchemy Elder was so happy that he gave them a few more pills. Bai Feng and Bai Yue were both very happy.
So they always liked to call Song Shu when they came to the spiritual garden, but they did not let the little squirrel work in vain. They each gave two pills to Song Shu from the pills given by the alchemy elder, and often brought food for him.
After taking a bite of the osmanthus cake, Song Shu patted his chest and said affirmatively, "Gu."
Wrapped in rat.
Watching the two people and the rat getting along harmoniously from afar, Qin Mian shook his head and muttered a little jealously, "We've only known each other for half a month, and you don't even take me seriously."
Having said that, Qin Mian did not go up to take the little squirrel away. Instead, he found a pavilion, took out a book and started reading slowly.
It's okay for the little squirrel to make some friends. A mouse is always lonely, and sometimes he has things to do and can't always have the little squirrel with him.
After eating the osmanthus cake and drinking the spiritual tea brought by Bai Feng, Song Shu smacked his lips and started to work.
He stood above Bai Feng's head, sniffing with his dark nose. When he felt where the spiritual energy was purer, he quickly patted Bai Feng's head and signaled him to go to the right.
Sure enough, in the grass, there stood a dark green wind spirit grass, with upright roots and thick leaves. Even though Bai Yue Bai Feng was not very good at selecting wind spirit grass, he felt that this was a rare and good quality one.
Pulling out the Wind Spirit Grass, Bai Feng praised: "Squirrel, you are so amazing."
Bai Yue also smiled and said, "He's simply the best squirrel in the world at finding spiritual herbs!"
The second boy had heard Qin Mian praise Song Shu. Every time he was praised, Song Shu would squint his eyes and grin, looking very pleased. From then on, no matter what he said to him, the little squirrel would agree quickly.
As expected, Song Shu felt relieved after being praised, so he quickly took Bai Yue to pick a piece of Fengling grass of excellent quality.
The two men and the rat were busy in the spiritual field for a long time. Seeing that the two boys' baskets were almost full, Song Shu jumped off Bai Feng.
The two boys found the rest themselves.
"Thank you, Squirrel. I'll take you to pick peaches later." Bai Feng waved at him.
Bai Yue also said, "There are also apricots and pears, they are all delicious."
Xiaoyaomen has a place dedicated to growing fruit trees. The fruits taste great and have spiritual energy. Everyone in Xiaoyaomen can pick and eat these fruits. If you go too late, there will be nothing left.
Song Shu waved his claws at the second boy with his back to him, responded casually, and left in a very casual manner.
I helped the second boy look for spiritual herbs for about an hour. They were a bit far from where they came from and couldn't even see the pavilion where Qin Mian was resting.
As Song Shu hurried towards the pavilion, he sniffed the scent in the spiritual field. The spiritual energy was very fragrant and rich, even more than the pine cone spiritual energy collected by rats in the spiritual mountain.
Song Shu picked up a handful of spiritual herbs and stuffed them into his mouth. Halfway through his run, he suddenly smelled a strong fragrance, and his dark nose moved quickly.
Song Shu stood on tiptoe and looked at the pavilion with its eaves exposed not far away. After hesitating for a moment, he turned sideways and ran towards the red pine tree not far away.
The rat smelled the scent of young shoots.
The rat ate a few bites before going to look for the food thief.
If the stored food was eaten in winter, Song Shu would eat the newly grown buds of trees in spring, among which Song Shu often ate the buds of red pine trees.
It's fragrant and sweet, not too astringent.
After following the scent for about a quarter of an hour, Song Shu saw a tall and strong red pine tree. His eyes lit up and he quickly climbed up the branches of the red pine tree.
The new buds on the branches were tender green and looked very fresh. Song Shu used his claws to pick up a bunch of new buds and ate them. They were indeed very tender and had a hint of sweetness.
With his eyes half-closed, Song Shu smacked his lips. He didn't know if it was because he had eaten too many good things recently, but he felt that the new sprouts didn't taste as good as before.
"Stinky squirrel!"
A curse came from the tree next door. Song Shu looked up and saw a long yellow creature standing on a branch and said to him arrogantly, "You even eat leaves. You must be starving."
Ah Huang has been raised by Xuanxu since he was a child. All he eats is food with spiritual energy. Naturally, he has never seen an animal like Song Shu who eats by picking up leaves.
Song Shu glanced at him, then climbed to the top of a branch and shouted at Ah Huang, "You defeated general! If you keep talking nonsense, I'll knock your teeth out!"
Ah Huang was unconvinced: "I underestimated you last time, this time I will pull out all your hair!"
He hated it most when someone said they wanted to pull out his hair. Song Shu's hair stood on end and he said no more. He just kicked off the branch with his legs and swung himself onto the tree where Ah Huang was.
A squirrel and a weasel stood facing each other, with fire in their eyes.
With his fluffy tail standing high, Song Shu gritted his teeth, narrowed his eyes, and said fiercely: "You're looking for death!"
Ah Huang was not convinced and stood up as well, saying fiercely, "Let's see who dies first!"
After a brief standoff, the two mice suddenly started fighting each other. You pinched my face and I pulled your cheek. For a moment, the gray-white long hair and the orange-yellow short hair flew together, and the leaves on the red pine tree fell down.
After fighting for a while, Song Shu quickly gained the upper hand. When he was about to throw Ah Huang to the ground and slap him again, Ah Huang got anxious and suddenly changed into human form.
"Hmph! Hit me again!"
After transforming into a human, the little squirrel was only the size of a palm. Ah Huang said proudly, "I can flatten you with just one slap!"
There was a huge size difference between humans and rats, but Song Shu was not panicked. He observed Ah Huang calmly and said sarcastically, "Even if a waste becomes a human, it is still a waste."
Rats are not afraid.
Ah Huang was furious: "You, squirrel, are so rude! I'm going to teach you a lesson so you know Xiaoyao Sect is not a place where you can act recklessly!"
Song Shu curled his lips, his eyes full of sarcasm.
“Ahhhhhh!”
Ah Huang was almost driven crazy by Song Shu, and rushed towards Song Shu angrily. Unfortunately, he forgot that he was no longer in the shape of a nimble weasel, but in the shape of a much taller human.
Pulling Ah Huang's clothes, he swung himself onto Ah Huang's shoulders. Song Shu stretched out his hands and gave Ah Huang two claws. When Ah Huang was furious and wanted to grab him, he flexibly circled around Ah Huang a few times.
Seeing the little squirrel running around on his body but unable to catch it no matter what, Ah Huang's eyes flashed with anger, and suddenly he closed his eyes and began to chant a spell.
Then Song Shu found himself floating in the air. No matter how he tried to break free, he couldn't do anything and could only be directed by Ah Huang to move in front of him.
"You're cheating!"
Song Shu swiped his claws in dissatisfaction and said angrily, "You can't beat me at all!"
Ah Huang bared his teeth at him and said smugly, "Who told you not to practice diligently? Now that you can't beat them, you're calling others cheating. Aren't you ashamed?"
Song Shu was so angry that he almost collapsed. If he had previously taken a laissez-faire attitude towards cultivation, now he wished he could become a human being as soon as possible and let Ah Huang know how powerful he was.
With his pupils erected dangerously, Ah Huang revealed a sinister smile and said with ill intention, "Stinky squirrel, I will let you know how powerful the number one demon cultivator of Xiaoyao Sect is. Let's see if you dare to be arrogant again in the future!"
Seeing Ah Huang reaching out his hand towards him, Song Shu struggled a few times, but it was of no use. In the end, he could only close his eyes, regretting that he had not worked hard enough before.
Qin Mian's face appeared in front of him, and Song Shu thought sadly, "Although I suffered this disaster because I followed you back to the sect, I don't blame you, the grain thief."
Even if the rat dies, it will come back to seek revenge on the weasel!
Song Shu closed his eyes and finally shouted Qin Mian's name loudly.
"Gu!"
The grain thief, revenge for the rat!
However, after waiting for a while, Ah Huang did not make a move. Instead, his body suddenly became lighter and floated under the tree like a fallen leaf, and finally fell into a warm embrace.
Song Shu sniffed with his dark nose and immediately opened his eyes. He smelled the scent of a grain thief.
Seeing the little squirrel being rescued, Ah Huang jumped under the tree and confronted Qin Mian, saying dissatisfiedly: "This is a matter between me and the stinky squirrel. It's none of your business to interfere."
Qin Mian touched the fluffy hair on Song Shu's body soothingly, and glanced at Ah Huang coldly, which made Ah Huang tremble all over and shut up embarrassedly.
Why didn't he think Xuanxu's nephew was so scary before?
The author has something to say:
----------------------
Song Shu: I've never beaten a rat [angry]
Qin Mian: Don’t be angry, I will definitely do it next time
