Chapter 12 The Cause of Death of the Original Owner's Mother (1/2)

Huang Xinrui's eyes lit up with admiration, and she gave a thumbs-up with both hands, exclaiming, "Xiyue, amazing!"

She was quick-witted, but she only ever used words and never laid a hand on anyone, unlike Li Xiyue, who would use force to subdue someone without saying a word.

It must be said that this method is simpler and more direct, getting straight to the root of the problem.

Li Xiyue smiled and said, "It's nothing. I have a stepsister and a half-brother who ganged up on me. I found a chance to fight back and beat them into the hospital."

"One against two, impressive!" Huang Xinrui gave a thumbs up, then noticed a bit of gauze peeking out from the other woman's head and quickly looked at it. "Are you injured?"

Li Xiyue took off her hat. "It's on the back of my head, but I've applied medicine, so it doesn't hurt anymore."

Huang Xinrui was even more heartbroken than if she herself had been injured; her eyes reddened, and she was about to cry.

Li Xiyue patted her shoulder, "I know medicine. I've applied some good medicine to myself. Don't worry, I'll be fine in a few days."

"Xiyue, you also know medicine? You're amazing! Compared to you, I'm nowhere near as good."

Besides her love of food, she has no other redeeming qualities.

Of course, loving to eat is not a virtue.

Waaah, she's utterly useless.

As the two were talking, a noise suddenly came from the carriage behind them.

"Someone has fainted. Is there anyone on the train who can treat them?" the train conductor asked anxiously as he helped an elderly woman.

Huang Xinrui peered into the back of the carriage for a while. "Xiyue, do you want to go take a look?"

Li Xiyue nodded, got up and walked over there. She was a doctor, and there was no reason for her to stand by and watch someone die.

"Young comrade, do you know any medicine?" the train conductor asked as soon as he saw Li Xiyue approaching.

"I know a little, let me take a look." As soon as Li Xiyue entered the carriage, she smelled a strong smell of smoke and said to the train attendant, "Open the window, the smell of smoke is too strong."

The train conductor quickly opened the window, and the fresh air soon dispelled the smell of smoke in the workshop.

Li Xiyue looked at the old lady's face, then opened her eyelids, took her pulse, and asked, "What's wrong, sir?"

"I don't know, I just suddenly fainted," a middle-aged man next to the old woman replied.

Li Xiyue asked, "What is your relationship to the old man?"

"I don't know her."

Li Xiyue frowned and looked at the train conductor, asking, "Is the elderly person not accompanied by any family members?"

She boarded the train alone, without any family members with her.

Li Xiyue then stopped talking and focused on taking the pulse.

"How is the old man?" the train attendant asked anxiously.

Li Xiyue withdrew her hand. "Was someone smoking in the carriage just now? The air is already bad on a crowded train, and smoking with the windows closed must have made the old man faint from lack of oxygen."

The middle-aged man looked apologetic. "I was smoking just now. I closed the window because I was afraid the old man would catch a cold."

Li Xiyue glanced at the middle-aged man, and her intuition told her that there was something wrong with him.

His apology just now didn't reach his eyes; it wasn't a genuine expression of remorse towards the elderly man.

Li Xiyue took out silver needles and inserted them into the old man's body several times. The air in the carriage became fresher, and the old man slowly woke up.

"Young comrade, you're really amazing!" the middle-aged man praised. "I've heard that those who know acupuncture possess a unique skill called something like the Thirteen Needles. Do you know it, young comrade?"

Li Xiyue looked up, a sharp light flashing in her eyes. The next moment, a silver needle pierced the pressure point on his neck.

She moved so fast that before the man could react, his eyes rolled back and he collapsed.

The train conductor exclaimed in surprise, "Young man, what are you doing?"

“Comrade, this man is suspicious. Report him to the police and have him arrested,” Li Xiyue said.

The train conductor was skeptical, but still called the police on board to take the person away. After all, the world was in chaos, and there were enemy agents hiding everywhere. It was better to be safe than sorry.
