"In Buddhism, there are three refuges: refuge in the Buddha, refuge in the Dharma, and refuge in the Sangha. There are the Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold Path, the Twelve Links of Dependent Origination, and the Eight Great Precepts." The Sanskrit voice of Vairocana Buddha was like thunder, rolling in as he spoke.

Mahavairocana Buddha said, "Since you have taken refuge in the Buddha and have taken the Buddha as your teacher, from today until the end of your life, you must not take refuge in the gods, demons, heretics, evil spirits, or demons. Can you abide by this?"

Yuan Kuang replied, "My disciples can keep it."

The Buddha Mahavairocana said, "Since you have taken refuge in the Dharma and taken the Dharma as your teacher, from today until the end of your life, you must not take refuge in the texts of other religions. The Dharma refers to the Buddhist scriptures, as well as the various methods of practice. The texts refer to the sutras. Can you uphold this?"

Yuan Kuang replied, "My disciples can keep it."

Mahavairocana Buddha said, "Now that you have taken refuge in the Sangha, you should take the Sangha as your teacher. From today until the end of your life, you must not take refuge in followers of other religions. Can you abide by this?"

Yuan Kuang replied, "My disciples can keep it."

Mahavairocana Buddha nodded slightly and said, "In that case, I will ordain you."

Then, the Buddha's light flashed from his right hand that was pressing on Yuan Kuang's head. In an instant, Yuan Kuang's long black hair disappeared, and turned into a shining bald head. Then, Vairocana Buddha tapped Yuan Kuang's head a few more times, and a puff of burnt smoke came out from the top of Yuan Kuang's head with a "crackling" sound. Then, nine burnt scars from the ordination appeared on Yuan Kuang's bald head.

At this moment, Yuan Kuang's brocade robe turned into a light yellow monk's robe, and at this time, the Great Sun Tathagata Buddha put his hands together and chanted:

"Take refuge in the Buddha, the Two-footed One, and you will not fall into hell."

"Take refuge in the Dharma, renounce desire, and you will not fall into the realm of hungry ghosts."

"Take refuge in the Sangha, the most respected among all, and do not fall into the animal realm."

After Vairocana Buddha finished reciting, Yuan Kuang, who was crawling on the ground, suddenly knelt up straight. At this time, all the monks on the stone platform were shocked.

Yuan Kuang's eye sockets were dry and his eyelids were tightly closed. Only two bloody tears flowed from his eye sockets to his chin. He was actually blind, and even his eyeballs turned into bloody tears as he cried.

However, at this moment, holy and clear Buddha light was emanating from Yuan Kuang's body. There was not the slightest sense of gloom and horror, but instead a feeling of incomparable brightness.

Yuan Kuang clasped his hands together and muttered slowly:

"Since I have taken refuge in the Buddha, I wish that all living beings may understand the great way and develop the supreme mind."

“Take refuge in the Dharma, and wish that all living beings may deeply penetrate the Sutras and attain wisdom as vast as the ocean.”

"Having taken refuge in the Sangha, one should wish for all living beings to lead the masses, to be free from all obstacles, and to be in harmony with the holy assembly."

After he finished reading, Yuan Kuang's original practice of Shaoshen Sect Taoism was transformed into Buddhism in an instant. His whole aura changed, and Buddha's light rose from his body, holy and bright.

But what shocked everyone present even more was that Yuan Kuang was originally in the realm of true immortality. However, after the Shaoshen Sect's Taoism was transformed into Buddhism in him, the aura emitted from his whole body was actually at a higher level.

"Xuanxian! He has been promoted to the Xuanxian realm!" Some of the surrounding celestial immortals and Xuanxian realm cultivators exclaimed in surprise.

Yao Sheng, Li Hua, and Zhuang Yantong were also shocked. He had directly advanced to a higher realm? Could Buddhism be so terrifying?!

At this time, the Buddha Mahavairocana said to Yuan Kuang, "I accept you as the first disciple of the Biantian World to spread the Dharma. I grant you the Dharma name 'Jingzong' and give you the Mahayana Buddhist Dharma 'Avatamsaka Sutra'."

After saying this, Vairocana Buddha pointed at Yuan Kuang, and in an instant a beam of Buddha light flew out from Vairocana Buddha's hand and went straight into Yuan Kuang's eyebrows.

Yuan Kuang chanted the Buddha's name, bowed in thanks, then stood up and walked to the back of Vairocana Buddha and sat down cross-legged.

Then, Mahavairocana Buddha raised his head again and smiled at the monks on the stone platform, saying, "Is there any donor who still has any questions?"

Immediately, a brief silence appeared on the stone platform, but soon countless people raised their hands and said, "Little Immortal has a question!"

Even though Yuan Kuang was blinded, so what? He could worship a Daluo Jinxian as his teacher and directly ascend to a higher realm. So what if he was blind? He still had divine consciousness, didn't he?

Looking at the lively scene before him, Xu Hongyuan said to Lihua, "Fellow Daoist Lihua, don't you have questions in your mind? You can ask them now."

Lihua shuddered, and quickly glanced at the blinded Yuan Kuang, then quickly waved her hands and said, "No, no, I can actually figure it out myself, so there's no need to trouble the Great Sun Tathagata."

"Hahaha." Xu Hongyuan chuckled, then walked directly to the side of Vairocana Buddha who was selecting the next lucky person.

"I am Xu Hongyuan, the wandering spirit god of heaven, and I pay my respects to the Vairocana Tathagata." Xu Hongyuan bowed his head and said.

Upon hearing this, Mahavairocana sat cross-legged and clasped his hands together in greeting, then asked with a smile, "What are your instructions, Spirit God Youyi?"

Xu Hongyuan laughed and said, "How dare a small god give orders to the Buddha? It is the order of Emperor Hongqing."

The Great Sun Tathagata's face grew solemn. He straightened his robes and stood up. He first bowed eleven times toward heaven and then asked Xu Hongyuan, "May I ask what the Emperor Hongqing has to say?"

Yaosheng, Lihua and Zhuang Yantong in the back looked at each other. Even though the Vairocana Buddha had boundless magical powers, he was extremely respectful in front of the Hongqing Emperor.

"So, it should be clear who to believe in, right?" Lihua sent a voice message to Zhuang Yantong.

Zhuang Yantong glanced at Lihua. Although he was speechless about what Lihua said, he did not object to the fact that in front of Emperor Hongqing, no matter the original three ancestors, or the current Taoist Master Hongjun and Mahavairocana Buddha, they could only pay homage and respect.

"Emperor Hongqing has decreed that Vairocana Buddha should teach the monk Yaosheng the "Medicine King Sutra." Xu Hongyuan said to Vairocana Buddha.

"Medicine King Sutra" is the Taoism of Medicine King Bodhisattva. Medicine students have the body of medicine spirit. If they want their medicine spirit body to exert the greatest power, then only the Taoism of Medicine King Bodhisattva or Medicine Master Bodhisattva is most suitable for them to practice.
