The curtains by the window were not drawn tight, and the morning sun shone through the gap, illuminating Yunkai's eyelids. He opened his sleepy eyes and found Yueming curled up, still sound asleep. Last night, Yueming was exhausted from all the messy nights, from the bathroom to the bed. He tilted his head and kissed her forehead. "You can go out and play every day even if you're here. I'll accompany you when I'm free. When I'm not at home, you can ask Feng Xiaosai and De Baili to go shopping with you. If that doesn't work, you can go play with Big Sister."

Yueming didn't say anything, just stared at his eyes. His eye sockets were deep, and his double eyelids seemed to be folded out of paper, deep and long, the corners of his eyes almost flying into his temples. After the call, he told Feng Xiaosai to tell the kitchen not to prepare dinner, as he would come back in the evening to pick up Yueming to go out for dinner.
