Chapter 17 Victorian Housekeeping (Part 2) (2/2)

After patting him a few times, Ellen pulled Fagar upstairs and sat down with him on the sofa: "Leicahn, this is a guest."

Upon hearing this, Lycahn's eyes softened instantly. He stood up straight, placed one hand in front of him and the other behind his back, and bowed respectfully.

"Welcome to Victoria Household Services. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is von Lekahn, and I am the manager of Victoria Household Services."

“I sincerely apologize for my previous behavior. If our clients wish to hire Victoria Housekeeping, we will reduce the service fee by half as an apology.”

"It doesn't matter."

Fagga spoke calmly, but his mind was in turmoil.

This Victoria Housekeeping service is so professional!

On the contrary...

Fagar muttered to himself, then turned to look at Ellen, thinking: Then why does she seem so aloof and indifferent to people?

"Hmm, where are you looking?"

Eileen noticed Fagga's gaze, pouted, and glared at Fagga in dissatisfaction.

But she didn't pay much attention and soon looked around as if she was looking for something.

After searching for a while, Eileen still couldn't find her, so she asked, "Where's Colleen?"

"She took on a hollow commission and is working on it."

Lykan readily agreed, as if answering Ellen's question, or perhaps trying to sell something to Fagga:

“Everyone at Victoria Housekeeping has the ability to explore the Void on their own. Look, the news on TV is about Ellen’s school; she led her entire class out of the Void.”

At that moment, the television was showing:

We were able to get out thanks to three people. I can't reveal one of them, but the other two are really good fighters: Fagar and Ellen.

[Especially Fagga, those wings were so cool! When Eileen ran out of energy, Fagga was the only one holding her up. Look, I even have a picture of Fagga from that time!]

Soon, a high-resolution photo was displayed on the television screen.

A man dressed in a single garment, with dark red wings that were a full ten feet long growing from his back, proudly hovered in mid-air.

Right in front of him, the headless corpse of the Dead Road Butcher crashed to the ground.

Its head was being held in the man's palm!

Lykahn was stunned, glancing at the television and then at Fagar.

The white downy fur provided the best protection at this moment, making it impossible for anyone to tell what color his face was.

He suddenly coughed, and Eileen, her face flushed, reacted immediately. Her hands moved so fast they were blurry, and she quickly grabbed the TV remote and pressed the button.

Buzz!

The TV is off.

Fagga sat upright, the scene changing so quickly that he was momentarily at a loss for what to do.

Ellen slapped her cheeks and glared angrily at Lycan.

You can brag, but don't drag me into it!

"Cough...cough cough!"

Lykan coughed twice, trying his best to make amends: "I'm sorry, I overstepped my bounds, and I'm ashamed of what I did."

"Um...I understand..."

Fagga was equally embarrassed, as he was currently digging into the sofa cushions. If he had used a little more force, he might have torn a hole through the sofa.

At that moment, another person floated into the room.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, esteemed guest. Would you prefer your coffee with sugar or milk?"

Lina floated into the room carrying a plate in both hands, then suddenly stopped.

Ellen lay slumped on the sofa, looking dejected, while Lykan turned his head away in silence.

Fagga turned his head and forced an awkward smile.

Lina tilted her head, and the two babblers beside her slowly formed a question mark.

Huh?
