Zhuang Zhou Dreams of a Butterfly

Recording my own dreams. Some of them I really want to write out, but there are too many plot holes, so I'll put them here for now.

These are all pulled from chat records and will include...

I am Tamamonomae

I am Tamamonomae

I dreamed I had transformed into Tamamonomae, shrouding the city with vengeful spirits, hoping to create a world without sorrow. But the spirits' methods were extreme, masking pain as if it were nonexistent. When I discovered this, I struggled to accept it. Many people had already died in the city, and in the end, I absorbed all the vengeful spirits, taking their sins with them.

(But the above plot is not correct)

I remembered the details of my dream this morning!

At the beginning, I turned into Tamamonomae and released the vengeful spirits to destroy Heian-kyo, killing many people. However, a mysterious existence told me that the sins of the people I killed will affect my lover.

Mo Xun: Who is my lover?

Me: The one in the original Onmyoji game, the shrine maiden who died from divine punishment.

I didn't believe it at first, but that existence showed me a memory. It was about the previous person who wanted to use this power to achieve his goal, and his experience and ending.

The person most important to him had passed away, and he wanted to create a world without death and sorrow, so he used this power. The people in that city felt no sorrow, as if they were in a large-scale mass hypnosis.

For example, if someone loses his or her loved one, his or her loved one will appear in front of him or her in the form of a puppet, and people around him or her will be affected and think that his or her loved one is still alive.

A little girl born with a damaged heart underwent surgery, but she was still weak and dying. However, under the influence of the evil spirit, she and her mother thought she had recovered and ran and jumped. (In fact, the surgical wound on her chest had opened up, and blood had stained her shirt red. She had lost too much blood.)

The "me" in my memory was also blinded by illusion at first, until a voice said to "me": Look carefully, is this really the world you want?

Then all the illusions were removed, and the absurd reality was exposed before my eyes. I couldn't believe that I did it. In an instant, cowardice took over and I fled the city.

Then comes the little girl's perspective.

At some point, the little girl overcame her hallucinations and realized she was really going to die. However, she didn't want to make her mother sad, so she lied to her mother that she wanted to eat candied haws, and crawled out by herself through the, uh, dog hole?

Unexpectedly, she still had the strength to walk all the way and found me hiding in the cave. We chatted for a while, and the little girl asked me why I was sad. It was then that I told her the purpose of all this.

My brother died. He had been strong and skilled in martial arts since he was young. We all believed that he could obtain the recognition of the family sword and lead us to kill demons.

However, what was unexpected was that on that day, out of the five mirrors and five magic swords, none of them recognized my brother. Instead, I, who was watching from the side, lit up a mirror and gained recognition.

My brother was hit hard, but he still went to the battlefield with strength. Before going to the battle, he smiled and touched my head, comforting me who was suddenly overwhelmed by the heavy burden.

But he did not return. He died on the battlefield.

The little girl said: So, you want your brother to come back?

"I" said: No... I know that the dead can never come back, so I hope there will be no more pain and death.

Little girl: But some people are really not afraid of death.

"Me": You are about to die, aren't you afraid?

Little girl: Well... I'm afraid that my mother will be sad, but there should be another me in that place to accompany her.

(Suddenly philosophy and I don’t know why)

The memory ends where the little girl stops breathing.

As Tamamonomae, I calmly asked that being what this had to do with what I wanted to do.

That being said that his brother had protected humans and slew demons during his lifetime, and that he could have lived a good life in the afterlife. However, due to his obsession, the brother had to atone for his brother's sins, and has not been able to be free until now (?)

I can’t remember the logic, but it will backfire on my lover.

What that existence said was that this was destiny and destiny could not be violated.

I glanced at Heian-kyō, which had already fallen into a fantasy world, laughed, and finally swallowed all the vengeful spirits (??)

After swallowing it and digesting it myself, it seemed like I had even upgraded myself.

The final goal is to fight against the gods, which is very consistent with the original work.
