Qi Jing is the thousand-year-old ancestor of the Qi family, summoned back home by his descendants to repay a debt of gratitude. CompletedThe talented, vivid beauty × the iceberg–cold, abstinent noble heir
Su Li was betrothed to the second young master of the aristocratic Cui clan, Cui Ming, since they were children.
Because of this marriage, she had always moved in and out of the great gates of the Cui family. She was clever and adorable, pleasing the old and young of the household—yet only the eldest son, Cui Jue, treated her with icy detachment. No matter how diligently she curried favor, he remained unmoved and even forbade her from approaching his living quarters, the Shuyue Pavilion.
Until the day she was finally wedded into the Cui family… and Cui Ming died on their wedding night.
Pitiful Su Li became a widow while still a virgin.
The Cui family cherished her; to give the lovely widow someone to rely upon, they asked the eldest son, Cui Jue, to "inherit both branches" and provide her with a child to secure her future.
Su Li knew full well that Cui Jue disliked her and assumed he would refuse outright—yet the servant returned with an invitation for her to come to Shuyue Pavilion, for Cui Jue had given a single-word answer: "Agreed."
The Eastern Wu Cui, a clan of towering power. Their heir, Cui Jue, is spotless in conduct and dazzling in intellect; everyone believes that under his leadership the family will remain illustrious for another century. Such a lofty, jade-like eldest son is revered by all, and no one dares transgress him.
But the young sister-in-law is pitiable and wants to remain chaste for her dead husband. The Cui, who watched her grow up, can’t bear it. In two years Cui Jue will in any case marry; rather than let some serving-girl benefit, why not offer this kindness to the widowed Su Li and leave her with a son or daughter?
Fortunately Cui Jue, out of consideration for his late brother, pondered for a long time and finally consented.
Su Li understands that Cui Jue is indifferent to women. Each encounter is a transaction: he never kisses her, never caresses her; once done he leaves without a backward glance. She knows her place—after she conceives she will stay far away and trouble him no more.
But nearly a year passes and no pregnancy comes.
Then one day, desperate to escape the clan, she feigns pregnancy, saying she needs to spend her confinement in the countryside. Yet on the very day she abandons her carriage and flees, Cui Jue leads troops to surround her. Blocking her path, his phoenix eyes icy and terrifying, he grips her chin and demands:
"I have taken contraceptive decoctions—so tell me, whose bastard is in your belly?"
Reading notes: very strong flavor; male lead is extremely "dog". If you can’t accept such tastes, read cautiously and respect differing preferences. 1. Both leads are virgins; contains forced love + frosty noble goes yandere + lots of melodrama. 2. The first husband is dead for good—this is simply a widow marrying her former brother-in-law. 3. Fictional dynasty; 90% anti-theft. 4. Only the double-virgin guarantee is certain; other tropes come unfiltered. Proceed with caution.
CompletedSynopsis:
[Brotherly Rivalry / Forced Love / Regret Arc]
Ning Zherou was an orphaned girl from a border town. She married Lu Chen when he was at his lowest, having just fallen from a pampered noble to a mud-splattered, broken-legged lowly soldier. For three years of their marriage, she braved wind and snow for late-night house calls, just to earn money to treat his leg. When the city fell and danger struck, she dragged him out from a pile of corpses, using her slender shoulders to single-handedly save his life.
Zherou believed they were a young couple deeply in love, but it wasn't until she followed Lu Chen to the capital that she realized everything had changed. The Lu Chen who once had eyes only for her one day impatiently told her not to be jealous, all for the sake of another woman. The Lu Chen who once promised never to forsake her in this life went to accompany another woman on a lake excursion, picking lotus flowers and watching fireworks, on the very day she was pregnant and secretly harmed.
It turned out she was merely Lu Chen's "coarse wife" from his hard times, while that noble lady was his perfect match, a bright moon equal in status. Her perceived youthful deep affection was, in the end, nothing but a joke. With a heart turned to ashes, Zherou drank a bowl of safflower, aborting the child she had painstakingly tried to protect, and left the capital. She no longer wanted to be "Madam Lu"; she only wanted to be herself.

Lu Chen never imagined Zherou would leave. Even if they argued, she would surely be the soft-hearted one to come back first. But she truly ran away. The day he finally learned of her whereabouts, Lu Chen, despite his severe injuries, galloped a hundred miles through the rain to her medical clinic. Yet, when the door opened, the person who emerged was not her.
Instead, it was his sworn brother, his cousin and young prince Xie Yunzhou. Lu Chen felt his blood instantly rush backward, his eyes reddening as he questioned in a deep voice, "Why are you here? Where is Zhaozhao?!" Xie Yunzhou, wearing only an inner garment with a loose collar, his eyes and brows still carrying a hint of spring, smiled at him. "She doesn't want to see you."
***
From that day on, Lu Chen completely lost his mind. She was his wife; even if they couldn't share the same bed in life, then in death, they must share the same grave.

Revised reading tips based on feedback:
1. The female lead is not a virgin (女非), the male lead is a virgin (男C). The second male lead eventually wins. It's a stage-by-stage 1v1, a melodramatic love-hate story. The female lead is not love-struck but also not cold-hearted. The plot is melodramatic, and the emotions are bitter-sweet, not a typical revenge story where the female lead "slaps faces" (gets revenge). Those who prefer a cold-hearted, vengeful female lead should be warned.
2. The male lead is an obsessive mad dog. The main plot is about forced possession. The second male lead has less screen time but ultimately becomes the endgame.
3. Slow-burn. The early pace is slow. The male lead is pure in body and mind, only loves the female lead, and there's a hidden reason for his involvement with the supporting female character, with no intimate contact. Their total on-screen interaction is no more than five or six hundred characters throughout the entire novel.
CompletedMarquis-General vs. Female CEO; pure-hearted heroine; brand-new, non-cliché plot. While other novels show concubines forbidden to bear children, here the hero begs her to—he’s terrified she won’t. Sweet, salty, and heart-wrenching by turns, the story keeps your feelings riding every twist.
Yun Wansheng never imagined she would be reborn into ancient times as a mere outside concubine. This body is scrawny, short, plain, and clearly malnourished—seriously, what was the Marquess thinking? What kind of taste does he have to climb into bed with this?
But once the heroine arrives, the ugly duckling transforms into a swan, and that very Marquess comes crawling back.
Mu Xingci notices from the first glance that his concubine is different. Before, she was an under-developed yellow-haired girl; no one would believe she was already seventeen. He almost felt guilty for life—thank goodness she’s of age.
From then on, whether she argues or throws tantrums, he no longer feels annoyance; instead he indulges her, shields her in public, and dotes on her until onlookers burn with envy.
When he assumes she’s finally stopped mentioning marriage, it turns out she simply doesn’t care for the title. Hoping a child will tie her down and make her his honored concubine, he gets a brutal lesson in “rather break than bend”: she decisively ends the pregnancy, driving the Marquess into a mad fury.
Her resolute departure forces the man to confront his true heart. On the eve of his final campaign he deliberately spreads word that he has been wounded “down there,” scaring Prime Minister Tai’s daughter into breaking their engagement—so now the whole realm knows of his supposed “hidden ailment.”
When the heroine hears, she gives him two short words: “You deserved it.”

Upon reopening her eyes, she and her husband both found themselves strangely reborn on the day of their marriage proposal. This time, she rejected his proposal and instead married the sickly heir who was her legitimate elder sister's husband in her previous life.
Later, the scumbag husband, his eyes bloodshot, knelt before her, pleading, "Qing Jun, I regret it. Please give me another chance; can we start anew?" Yet, a love that arrives too late is cheaper than grass. In this life, she would not indulge him!
CompletedIn her previous life, Sun Wei, in order to escape her predicament and retaliate against her clan's humiliation, was determined to marry into a high-ranking family. Through various means, she married Sima Jun, the Prince of Yuzhang. When turbulent times arrived, it wasn't until the city was breached and she was about to be killed that Sun Wei realized Sima Jun was not heartless towards her after all.
In this life, a woman suddenly appeared before Sima Jun, the Prince of Yuzhang, claiming to be his father's concubine. She could divine and calculate, knew everything under heaven, and even wanted to arrange his marriage.
Heroes from all over the world flocked to her, and even the Crown Prince said the Eastern Palace was still lacking a Crown Princess.
Sima Jun sneered: "Whether alive or dead, this concubine belongs to my Prince of Yuzhang's residence. Who dares?"
