Chapter 912 Judgment Day 6



"Your Majesty, they have retreated," Bowerman reported upon his return.

Von Palen nodded and said, "Go tell Wolfgang to come see me."

Bowerman took a deep breath and replied, "Yes, Your Majesty."

After speaking, he jogged towards the swarming rebel army ahead. A few minutes later, Bowerman was tackled to the ground by the rebel soldiers.

Bowerman struggled to shout, "Wolfgang! Wolfgang!"

"You damned bastard, shameless traitor! His Majesty demands you see him!"

"Shut up!" The soldiers punched and kicked Bowerman in a fit of rage, but he kept repeating those words.

“I understand, Bowerman.” At that moment, Wolfgang stepped out from the crowd and said to him expressionlessly.

Bowerman, pinned to the ground, had his face covered in blood and grime. Upon seeing Wolfgang, he began to hurl insults at him.

"You have betrayed His Majesty's trust in you; you should feel ashamed!"

"You bastard! You betrayed him! You betrayed him..."

The soldiers grabbed handfuls of dirt and stuffed it into Bowerman's mouth, finally forcing him to shut up. Even so, Bowerman still stared intently at Wolfgang.

“Sir, there’s no need for that,” an officer advised.

"He might be hiding something, you don't need to go, we can just arrest him directly," someone else said.

Wolfgang shook his head and said, "He's a decent man."

The admonitions ceased, and Wolfgang said no more, walking alone toward von Palen, who was waiting there.

A moment later

“Your Majesty,” Wolfgang said, looking at von Palen before him.

Von Palen scrutinized Wolfgang's face and replied, "You look exhausted. Is this job causing you distress?"

Wolfgang nodded: "Yes, but I have to do it."

"Why?" von Palen asked.

“I want to save our country,” Wolfgang replied.

With his arms crossed and a deep look in his eyes, Feng Palen asked again, "Can you save them?"
