"Halt!"
At the shouts of command, the advancing Yan Kingdom army gradually came to a halt.
Wolfgang and his group were already pounding with fear, sweat pouring down their faces.
Before them stood an iron-blooded lion that had never been defeated since entering the country, a force that was invincible in every battle. With their overwhelming fighting power, they crushed their own army to the ground, bringing the country to the brink of collapse in just over two months.
Now, just looking at this army, Wolfgang already felt an immense pressure, almost like a mountain, that made it hard for him to breathe.
"Now that you've surrendered, why don't you come and pay your respects?!"
Just then, a loud shout rang out like thunder, causing everyone who heard it to jump and tremble.
Wolfgang flicked his wrist, then slowly lowered his arm, and walked forward with a pale face, followed by the person behind him with heavy steps.
Hundreds of meters away, the neatly lined-up Flame Cavalry moved to the left and right, clearing the way in the middle.
Before long, Wolfgang stepped inside and headed deep into the Yan Army's territory.
As they walked along the road, the cavalrymen on both sides held their guns, their faces stern, their gazes sharp as blades, making Wolfgang and his men feel a burning pain on their faces. They didn't even dare to look up, but simply lowered their heads and followed in the footsteps of those in front of them, their bodies trembling as they moved forward.
Wolfgang, as the leader, was in the same state. He was pale, his breathing was becoming increasingly rapid, and every step he took felt like needles were pricking his feet. His once proud self-esteem was gradually being lost.
In just a few minutes, Wolfgang seemed to have aged decades. His body could no longer stand upright, but was hunched over. When his drooping gaze saw the crowd of people ahead, he realized that he had reached the commander of the Yan people.
So he struggled to lift his face, and among a group of unfamiliar faces, his keen eyes landed on an exceptionally young face.
The man stood with his arms crossed, his face calm, yet he exuded an imposing aura of authority.
"What? Don't want to fight anymore?"
Looking at the gray-haired, pale-faced Goth in front of him, who seemed utterly lost, Qin Ze asked indifferently.
The sudden question startled Wolfgang, who quickly replied, "Yes."
"We...we choose to surrender."
Upon hearing this, Qin Ze turned his eyes and swept his gaze across the faces of the Goths in front of him. As he looked around, the Goths all lowered their heads.
Finally, he turned his gaze back to Wolfgang's face.
"Are you Von Palen?"
“No…no, my name is Albert Wolfgang, Grand Marshal of the Delta Federation Empire Army. I am here to surrender on behalf of my country,” Wolfgang replied immediately.
"Where's Von Palen?" Qin Ze raised an eyebrow.
"He...he's in the Hofburg, we've already..." Wolfgang was only halfway through his sentence when Qin Ze interrupted him:
"In short, is this a statement you all made in unison?"
Before Wolfgang could even speak, Dingle, standing nearby, nervously interjected:
"Please forgive our offense. This war should not have happened between us. We are now too weak to fight any longer. Too many people have died in this war. We are willing to surrender in exchange for an end to the war."
Qin Ze turned to look at Ding Geer and said indifferently, "When you led your army to invade our country, did you ever think that this day would come?"
Dingle turned pale, unsure how to respond.
Qin Ze continued, "After arriving on this continent, I felt that this was a wonderful place. It has beautiful mountains and rivers, abundant resources, and a vast territory. Even now, with my army, I have only traversed half of your borders."
"With such a good place, why are you still thinking about conquering overseas territories?"
Wolfgang's lips trembled as he replied, "We mistakenly thought..."
Qin Ze said coldly, "No need for further explanation, I'm just telling you what I have to say."
"Your ambitions are great, that needs no further proof. Your military strength is also considerable, and your fighting spirit is strong. If you had invaded a weaker country instead of ours, it might have been destroyed by you in just a few years."
"But now they've been driven to the brink of defeat by us and have no choice but to surrender. What do you say?"
His words were like sharp blades, leaving Wolfgang pale and speechless, while Dingle hesitated to speak.
Qin Ze then said to Wolfgang:
"I think you should know that war comes because of necessity, not because of desire."
"If surrendering could end a war when you can't win, that's a game for children. But the war between our two countries has already involved tens of millions of people."
"Now you want to surrender?"
Upon hearing this, Wolfgang's face stiffened, as if a chill was rushing towards him. The others instantly turned ashen-faced, as an aura of death swept over them, and the icy gazes of the Flame Soldiers on either side seemed to pierce through their bodies.
The next moment, with a "thud," Wolfgang fell to his knees:
"We are willing to surrender unconditionally, and we will accept whatever demands you make."
Following Wolfgang, the others immediately knelt down, each one looking as if they had lost their parents, their hearts filled with fear and intense unease, some even with tears in their eyes and their bodies trembling uncontrollably.
Qin Ze remained indifferent and said, "I still have hundreds of thousands of troops on their way to Salibia. If we continue fighting, I believe we can annihilate all your armies within the next two months."
