"Okay, as long as someone is watching over things, you can go and familiarize yourself with the place."
Bonnie and Gu Ye busied themselves moving things downstairs, and the neighbors upstairs and downstairs came over to help. Although they hadn't interacted much, they had greeted each other when they met.
"Oh dear, Bonnie, I'm really going to miss you moving away."
The old lady on the first floor felt quite uneasy watching the people moving things up and down the stairs.
"Auntie, it's not far, just a wall between us."
"Girl, that's not something that can be separated by a wall."
Although the old lady loved to chat, she was quite perceptive. Bonnie's husband had been promoted, and things were different now.
When the military vehicles arrived, they carried everything upstairs. The other neighbors didn't go with them, only Fang Dali's family and Gu Wei's family went to take a look.
"Liu Jiu, move your own things into the room and pack them up. Xuan Yu, put your things in the study on the second floor, there's a bed and a wardrobe there."
"Understood, Second Aunt."
Several children had come to see the place before and had already chosen their rooms; only Xuanyu was coming for the first time.
Bonnie moved their things, while Gu Ye and the others took care of the rest.
There weren't too many things at that point, and it was all moved in no time. The military vehicles left, and then we had to pack up our things slowly.
"Sister-in-law, this house is really nice. It has three side rooms and a large yard where we can grow vegetables."
Xu Meifeng looked around, feeling envious. She wondered when her husband, Lao Fang, would let her live in a courtyard like this, but she felt there was little hope.
"That's good. You can grow vegetables in the yard. I've cultivated a lot of seedlings this year, and I'll plant them all when they're ready."
Bonnie was also happy; she loved growing vegetables.
Watching the people bustling in and out, Bonnie thought that if nothing unexpected happened, she would live here for eight or ten years, keeping herself comfortable and happy. Life would be wonderful!
