Bonnie didn't even need Grandma's answer; the taste told the whole story.
Gu Ye carried in a basin of water and stumbled slightly from the stench of his daughter's poop. "How can it smell so bad?"
"Pour some of the hot water from the thermos into the basin to make it warm water."
Following Bao Ni's instructions, Gu Ye prepared half a basin of warm water and brought it to Grandma.
"Gu Ye, come and pick up your daughter."
Grandma looked at the chubby little girl kicking her legs wildly and, not confident that she could control her, quickly called for Gu Ye.

"It's okay, I didn't suffer much, the baby came out before it even hurt much."
"Here, have some fish soup while it's hot. It's not salty, so it won't taste as good when it's cold."
Lin's mother busied herself preparing food for Bao Ni, while Lin's father looked at his sleeping granddaughter with immense joy, noting that she looked exactly like Bao Ni when she was little!
