Zhou Qiqi turned around and looked at his blurry outline in the dim light.
"It will be about a week later. Don't worry, I'll take care of everything. When they arrive, I'll explain everything to them properly and make sure you don't suffer any injustice."
Shen Huaichuan assured her, his fingers gently stroking her arm.
Zhou Qiqi felt much more at ease knowing that he had made clear arrangements.
With a mountain of work waiting for her at the factory, she was truly overwhelmed and nodded.
"Okay, you handle it then. I have a lot of things to do at the factory, I'm exhausted, I'm going to sleep now."
She turned to turn around after she finished speaking, but Shen Huaichuan held her tightly.
He buried his head in the crook of her neck, his voice muffled, with a hint of pitifulness:
"No, honey, are you really ignoring me? It hurts my heart when you ignore me..."
He groaned several times as he spoke, and Zhou Qiqi, thinking something was wrong, felt a pang of anxiety and quickly asked:
"What's wrong? Does your chest really hurt? Let me see?"
Shen Huaichuan didn't answer, but instead grasped that soft hand and moved it downwards, past her firm chest and abdomen, pressing it against her well-defined, taut abdominal muscles. His voice carried a hint of mischievous laughter:
"Um... I misspoke, it hurts here..."
Zhou Qiqi was taken aback, then realized she had been teased. Her face flushed, and she lightly punched him in annoyance.
"Is this your chest? Shen Huaichuan, you're being a pervert!"
Don't you like it?
Shen Huaichuan chuckled softly, his chest trembling. Instead of dodging, he tightened his grip on Shen Huaichuan's arm.
In the darkness, he precisely captured her lips, silencing all the scolding that was yet to be uttered.
Zhou Qiqi gave him a couple of symbolic pushes, but when she couldn't get rid of him, she gave up and let him do as he pleased.
This man, too, had traveled a long way and worked for so long, yet somehow he still had so much inexhaustible energy.
The night is still long, the moonlight outside the window is hazy, and the atmosphere inside is warm and tender. Other worries can wait until dawn.
