Chapter Sixty-Two: We Intend to Cooperate

Ye Linchen looked down at the flashing number on the pager screen, his heart pounding.

She hadn't saved this number, but she was certain it was one of the companies she had visited that afternoon.

This means that her efforts were not in vain!

Ye Linchen ate only one steamed bun for lunch and ran around all afternoon. His stomach, which had been growling with hunger, was now completely oblivious to, overshadowed by his joy.

She walked quickly to a public phone booth on the street, took out a coin from her pocket, inserted it into the phone's card slot, and dialed the number displayed on the pager.

"Hello, I'm calling back. May I ask who called?"

Ye Linchen gripped the microphone tightly, trying his best to keep his voice calm, but he still couldn't stop it from trembling slightly.

A steady male voice came from the other end of the phone: "Hello, this is Liu Jianguo from Tianxing Electronics, in the marketing department. I've read the report you sent this afternoon, and I'm very interested in it."

Liu Jianguo immediately set a time: "Are you free at nine o'clock tomorrow morning? Come to our company and we'll meet to discuss things in detail."

"I'm free! I'm free!" Ye Linchen readily agreed. "I'll be there on time at nine o'clock tomorrow morning."

After hanging up the phone, Ye Linchen was so excited he almost jumped for joy!

Sure enough, her judgment was correct!

Tianyin Company attaches great importance to advertising and promotion.

Maybe she was just about to fall asleep, so she handed her a pillow!

They each got what they wanted; it was a match made in heaven!

After letting his mind wander for a while, Ye Linchen forced himself to calm down.

While it's certainly gratifying to successfully attract a potential client, the meeting with Tianxing Electronics is the key.

She must be fully prepared to ensure that the contract is ultimately signed.

Ye Linchen took out several contracts and product brochures given to him by Manager Zhang from his bag and began to study them carefully.

The brochure briefly explained the various types of sponsorship and their returns, but she felt it wasn't detailed enough and many details needed further clarification.

In addition, some clauses in the contract confused her, and she needed to understand them to avoid future disputes.

She immediately paged Manager Zhang of the advertising company.

The brief message said that a company was interested in cooperating and she wanted to go back as soon as possible to inquire about the signing of the contract. She hoped that Manager Zhang could wait for her at the company.

After doing all this, Ye Linchen took a bus back to Jinqiao Company.

It was well past closing time, and the company was quiet. The corridors were pitch black, with only motion-activated lights turning on one by one in response to her footsteps.

"Xiao Ye? How is it? Any good news?"

Another voice joined in.

Ye Linchen looked in the direction of the sound and saw Manager Zhang walking quickly out of the office with a look of anticipation on his face.

"Manager Zhang, a company is interested in our activities and has asked me to meet with them tomorrow. I would like to learn more about our company's contract signing rules."

"Alright, alright, come in quickly, sit down and let's talk."

Manager Zhang's face was full of smiles.

He led Ye Linchen into his office, gestured for her to sit down, and poured her a glass of water before asking, "Which company is interested in our event? Did you contact them yourself, or did you use connections?"

"I contacted them myself. I visited several companies this afternoon, and now one of them has responded." Ye Linchen nodded.

"Incredible, incredible! One store in just one afternoon is already amazing!" Manager Zhang's smile widened. "Xiao Ye, you're something else! A promising young talent!"

As he spoke, he seemed to remember something and asked with a smile, "I heard you made a bet with Li Ming, five hundred? His wallet is going to suffer a huge loss."

Although Ye Linchen felt that the success rate of this contract signing was over 80%, she still shook her head shyly.

"Manager Zhang, please don't spread this around yet. Let's talk about it after I sign the contract."

"Of course." Manager Zhang nodded, gloating. "Old Li is probably going to suffer this time. He's been hunting geese all day, but now he's been pecked in the eye by one. Good riddance, it'll teach him a lesson."

After Manager Zhang finished his exclamation, his expression became serious.

He took out detailed information about the competition and several contracts from his desk and began to explain them in detail.

"Our company mainly offers these types of sponsorships..."

As Manager Zhang spoke, he pointed to the clauses in the contract and explained them one by one.

Finally, he added, "How about this, I'll go with you to talk tomorrow. You take the lead, and I'll provide supplementary information."

Ye Linchen was secretly delighted; she really did have this plan.

She was a newcomer, lacking experience, or rather, having absolutely no experience in this area.

If she is unable to respond promptly to unexpected situations or special requests from the other party, thus affecting the negotiation and missing a good opportunity, it would be a great pity.

"That's great, but I'm just wondering if it will be too much trouble for you?"

“No trouble at all,” Manager Zhang interrupted her cheerfully. “I’ll go with you and help you oversee things to avoid any mistakes. Don’t worry, all the commission is yours; I won’t take a single penny.”

Ye Linchen smiled sheepishly: "That's not what I meant..."

"I understand, I understand. We'll meet at the main gate of Jiangcheng University at 8:30 tomorrow morning," Manager Zhang said readily.

With Manager Zhang in charge, Ye Linchen felt much more at ease.

The two met at the entrance of Jiangcheng University at 8:30 a.m. the next morning.

Manager Zhang waved to her: "Let's go."

As they walked, Manager Zhang encouraged her the whole way.

"Don't be nervous, just treat it like a normal chat. Remember the plan we discussed yesterday, and just be flexible."

Ye Linchen nodded and walked into the gate of Tianxing Electronics Company with Manager Zhang.

The receptionist from yesterday recognized Ye Linchen and warmly led the two of them into the meeting room.

"Please wait a moment, Manager Liu will be here shortly."

Ye Linchen and Manager Zhang had just sat down for a short while when a middle-aged man walked in.

He was in his forties, dressed in a neat suit, with a gentle smile on his face.

"Hello, I'm Ye Linchen from Jinqiao Advertising Company. This is our Manager Zhang." Ye Linchen politely stood up to greet him and handed over his and Manager Zhang's business cards. "We spoke on the phone yesterday."

"Hello, Ms. Ye, this is Manager Zhang." Manager Liu took the business card, looked at it carefully, and said with a smile, "I didn't expect Ms. Ye to be so young and capable, and to have such a capable assistant."

"Manager Liu, you flatter me. Manager Zhang is very experienced, and we will have to rely on him a lot in this negotiation."

Ye Linchen smiled modestly, then opened the documents he had brought and began to explain.

"Manager Liu, hello. Our model competition this time..."

She clearly and logically introduced the scale, influence, publicity plan, and various types of sponsorship and returns of the competition, and emphasized the advantages of title sponsorship.

Manager Zhang then added as needed.

Manager Liu listened attentively, nodding occasionally and asking questions.

After the explanation was completed, Manager Liu shared his thoughts.

"Your explanations were very detailed and convincing. Our company is indeed very interested in sponsoring this competition." He paused, then changed the subject, "However..."

Ye Linchen's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly looked at him.
