Chapter 466 Jealousy

Not only was Ye Yixin curious, but Ye Yiran, who felt he had successfully turned the tables, was also curious and, in unison with Ye Yixin, looked at Ye Qing.

Seeing that the two children's attention was now entirely on her and they were no longer glaring at each other because of what had just happened, Ye Qing smiled and said, "Whether it disturbed the baby's sleep or not, that's a question for the baby to answer. But the baby isn't born yet, so I can't answer your questions. Even though he moved, it doesn't mean that's what he really thinks."

Ye Yiran said, "But he was moving around really hard in my belly just now."

She was a little unconvinced, feeling that Ye Qing was speaking up for Ye Yixin.

Ye Qing gently stroked her son's head again and said, "He moved. Maybe he heard you two talking and turned over to continue sleeping."

Wow, that seems to be the case!

The two children were fooled by Ye Qing's half-truthful words.

Although they still didn't quite like each other, Ye Yixin no longer had any desire to fight with her twin brother.

With peace temporarily restored, Ye Qing breathed a sigh of relief, as did Xi Quan, who was driving.

However, after listening to the innocent conversation between the two children, Xi Quan had to admit that he was a little jealous of them.

Although such thoughts are not good, Xi Quan couldn't quite control himself.

Although he was jealous, Xi Quan wouldn't do anything to the children, after all, they were his own. Xi Quan's so-called jealousy was just that he felt like he was superfluous as a father, because both of his children could talk so affectionately to the unborn baby.

And I was surprised to find myself losing my composure when I experienced fetal movement before.

Most importantly, this wasn't the first time the baby had moved.

So while feeling jealous, Xi Quan also realized a problem: he seemed to have been too busy with work and other things, thus neglecting Ye Qing and the children.

Although it seems that he and Ye Qing are getting closer, they don't spend much time together.

They had planned to take the kids out together, but it was delayed because of Grandma's situation. Xi Quan wants to find time to make arrangements soon.

But when he thought of these things, Xi Quan quickly dismissed one thing: that he would not bring the child and that it would only be him and Ye Qing.

In Xi Quan's view, the two children were far too close to Ye Qing.

Although Xi Quan also wanted to spend a close time with his child, compared to Ye Qing, the child still had to take a backseat.

After thinking it over, Xi Quan decided to check his recent work schedule after starting work tomorrow and make time for it.

However, Ye Qing was unaware of Xi Quan's thoughts, because when they got home, the two children were still a bit confused.

Ye Qing had originally planned to have a proper talk with the two children.

But who knew the child seemed to have a big idea? Despite clearly disliking each other, they tacitly rejected Ye Qing.

Of course, neither of them said anything. However, after getting off the bus, when Ye Qing tried to hold their hands, both children refused.

Watching the backs of the two children walking ahead, Ye Qing wasn't disappointed. She even thought to herself, "Let's see how long this cold war lasts."

Because watching two little kids have a cold war is also a fun thing to do.

Aunt Zhang didn't mind that the two children were unhappy to see each other when they came back, because she knew that this was normal for them. However, she was a little surprised to see Ye Qing and Xi Quan come back together.

She knew that Ye Qing went out in the afternoon, but she didn't know that Ye Qing went to see Xi Quan. In Zhang Sao's mind, something must have happened, otherwise Ye Qing would not have gone to see Xi Quan.

Then she remembered that Ye Shuang had come over that afternoon, and Zhang Sao felt uneasy.

However, since Ye Qing had previously spoken with Aunt Zhang and didn't want her to be so talkative, Aunt Zhang hesitated.

Although the two children were able to play by themselves, Ye Qing was afraid they would start fighting again because they were still giving each other the cold shoulder, so she just watched them play from the side.

Xi Quan noticed Zhang Sao's expression, so instead of going over to play with the children, he asked Zhang Sao what was wrong.

Aunt Zhang opened her mouth as if to speak, but Ye Qing's words from that afternoon still echoed in her ears, making her unsure whether she should tell Xi Quan. Xi Quan, however, waited patiently for her to speak. After a moment of silence, Aunt Zhang said, "Ye Qing doesn't really want me to say much..."

Xi Quan was actually quite tired every day. Hearing Zhang Sao's words, he helplessly pinched his brow. After a while, Xi Quan said indifferently, "Although I don't know what Ye Qing said to you, I think Ye Qing's meaning was definitely not to stop you from speaking, but to make you pay attention to your words and what you should and shouldn't say. I think you should know that."

After all, he was already quite old. He swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue. Regardless of whether Ye Qing acknowledged it or not, from a blood relation perspective, Aunt Zhang was Xi Quan's mother-in-law.

Aunt Zhang did know, but she wasn't quite sure about the proper way to say what to say and what not to say. However, seeing Xi Quan's somewhat impatient expression, Aunt Zhang hesitated for a moment before saying, "It's just that Ye Shuang came to see Ye Qing this afternoon. After Ye Shuang left, she went out."

This surprised Xi Quan. Although he was a little worried, Xi Quan remained rational. Since Ye Shuang had come to his home, she certainly wouldn't argue with Ye Qing at home.

Recalling Ye Qing's hesitation after picking up the child, Xi Quan asked Aunt Zhang, "Around when did Ye Shuang arrive?"

Aunt Zhang gave a rough estimate of the time.

Xi Quan roughly calculated that, according to Zhang Sao, Ye Qing went to pick up the child after Ye Shuang left. "I understand."

After Xi Quan found out, Zhang Sao didn't say anything more and went to busy herself with cooking.

Xi Quan went to find Ye Qing. The two children had made up and were no longer having a cold war or arguing, so there was no need for someone to keep an eye on them anymore.

Even though we still argue and fight after we make up, it's much better than when we're angry and fighting.

With two children at home, Ye Qing was used to the fact that fighting between children was normal, so as long as it wasn't too serious, she usually let it go and let the two children make up on their own.

Xi Quan watched the two children play for a while, then went back to their room with Ye Qing.

Ye Qing hadn't forgotten what Ye Shuang had said and was thinking of asking her something when Xi Quan pulled her back to the room. Then she heard Xi Quan ask her directly, "Ye Shuang came to see you this afternoon. What was it about?"

"How did you know..." Ye Qing asked subconsciously, but before she could finish speaking, she regretfully slapped her forehead, remembering Aunt Zhang, "Did Aunt Zhang tell you?"

Xi Quan nodded: "I asked her that."

Ye Qing knew that Xi Quan said that because he was afraid she would blame Zhang Sao. Actually, Ye Qing was used to it now, so she didn't blame her. Besides, it wasn't something she couldn't tell him about Ye Shuang coming to see her. So she told Xi Quan about it. After she finished, Ye Qing looked at Xi Quan and asked, "You know?"
