Chapter 61 Who's the Right Scapegoat?

While the teachers and department head were still feeling frustrated and disappointed, they heard Ye Qing's words and looked at him in surprise again: "Are you sure?"

Ye Qing said, "I'm sure, and on this manuscript, apart from the name which Liu Wei wrote herself, all the other handwriting is mine. If you don't believe me, I can redraw it in front of everyone."

Liu Wei had initially held onto a sliver of hope, thinking that at worst she could simply not participate in the selection process. Who knew Ye Qing would be so ruthless, coming up with such a plan?

She wanted to say something in her defense, but the teacher and the department head had already placed paper and pens in front of them.

Helpless, Liu Wei had no choice but to bite the bullet and pick up the pen to start drawing.

Although she didn't draw the design herself, she had seen it. For a design student, even if she couldn't draw it perfectly, she could quickly sketch out the general outline.

However, Liu Wei didn't even know how to begin writing, because it really wasn't hers, and she was also feeling flustered.

Although I shared a dorm room with Liu Wei, we didn't get along well, and the teachers in our first year mostly taught basic theoretical knowledge.

Therefore, Ye Qing was unaware of Liu Wei's abilities.

After she finished drawing it in a few strokes, she glanced at Liu Wei next to her and found that Liu Wei hadn't drawn anything.

Ye Qing was astonished, and even the teachers and department heads were quite surprised.

Now there's almost no need to ask anything anymore; the results are clear and straightforward.

Liu Wei's problem is no longer just plagiarizing Ye Qing's manuscript; she has stolen it.

"You two go first."

Upon hearing this, Ye Qing put down her pen, stood up, and prepared to leave. After taking a few steps, she suddenly heard the department head ask, "Besides the two of you, has anyone else seen this drawing?"

Ye Qing shook her head: "No."

Indeed, this was the case; even Xu Xiaoyue had never seen what the drawing looked like.

But Liu Wei hesitated and didn't say anything.

Although she only submitted the drawing yesterday before the deadline after thinking Ye Qing would definitely not be able to submit it, she had already obtained the manuscript from Ye Qing long ago, shown it to others, and even started working on it at the factory.

Although Liu Wei didn't say these words, her hesitant manner made it clear to everyone that she might have already shown them to others.

The department head's eyebrows were so furrowed they could trap a fly. He waved his hand impatiently, dismissing Ye Qing and Liu Wei.

As soon as she stepped out of the office, Liu Wei looked at Ye Qing with the same fierce expression a vicious dog would use to attack someone, but because they were still in the office building, she didn't dare to do anything.

Ye Qing wasn't very thick-skinned; of course she could sense Liu Wei's anger, but so what? Ye Qing wasn't afraid at all.

After leaving the office building, Ye Qing didn't rush back to her dormitory. Instead, she headed towards a secluded spot on the playground, knowing that Liu Wei had been following her.

Having found a spot where the sun could shine, Ye Qing turned to Liu Wei and said, "You seem to have something to say to me?"

"Ye Qing, you're despicable!" Liu Wei rushed towards Ye Qing frantically, looking like a shrew in a fight.

Having witnessed countless fights between shrewish women in Xiaoyao Village, Ye Qing wasn't afraid of Liu Wei at all. Just as Liu Wei charged at her, Ye Qing dodged slightly, and Liu Wei almost fell over.

Seeing Liu Wei standing ready to charge at him again, Ye Qing calmly said, "If I were you, I would think carefully about what to do next."

Liu Wei sneered: "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be in this situation now. Ye Qing, I didn't realize you were so treacherous and cunning, actually framing me. Did you deliberately let me see your manuscript in the dormitory before?"

Ye Qing smiled and nodded: "Of course, I deliberately let you see it, but if you don't have any ulterior motives, so what if I let you see it?"

Why did you deliberately frame me?

Since Ye Qing had already done it, she had no intention of hiding it. She would tell Liu Wei clearly why she wanted her dead: "You don't think you can just let it go after framing me so viciously back then, do you? Do I look like someone who's easy to talk to?"

"Didn't you already cut my hair?" Liu Wei said through gritted teeth.

"Heh, you mean I'll fix your split ends?" Ye Qing sneered. "Are you too naive, or do I look too easy to bully?"

"you……"

Ye Qing raised her hand and shook off Liu Wei's hand, which was about to point at her nose: "What did I do? Sometimes I still think I'm too kind. Originally, I thought you would just let me take some photos like that, but who knew you had a backup plan. You were planning to cause trouble backstage at the Zitai Fashion launch event. You not only wanted to implicate Xiaoyue, but you also plotted against me. When you were discussing these vicious schemes, did you think about the retribution you would suffer in the future?"

Liu Wei thought she had concealed it well and that Ye Qing had no idea, but she never expected that Ye Qing would actually know.

Feeling guilty, Liu Wei's eyes flickered, but she quickly found a rebuttal to Ye Qing: "Stop making baseless accusations. If I really had sabotaged the fashion show backstage, how come I couldn't see that the design on the manuscript you deliberately showed me had already been displayed at the show?"

Ye Qing deliberately showed Liu Wei the sketches he drew, and they were indeed displayed at the press conference. Ye Qing admitted that he did it on purpose, but he didn't expect Liu Wei to be so stupid: "Just because you didn't go to the press conference doesn't mean you can't give advice."

"Liu Wei, if something happens, do you think those people who schemed against me before will admit what they did, or will they find someone to take the blame?" Ye Qing asked.

"you……"

Seeing Liu Wei's flustered appearance, Ye Qing pressed his advantage: "To be honest, the people who plotted against me with you included your fellow villager, Ye Shuang, and then the people from Huamao Hotel."

Ye Shuang couldn't get into the backstage of the press conference at all, and neither could your fellow townsman. The only people who could get in were the people from Huamao Hotel. Do you think the people from Huamao Hotel would say they didn't like me and therefore didn't want the Zitai Fashion press conference to be successful?

This is tantamount to Huamao Hotel and Zitai Fashion breaking ties, isn't it? Would business people really go to such lengths for some nobody? Obviously not.

"Then we definitely need to find a scapegoat. I don't have any conflicts with your fellow townsman, but I do have conflicts with Ye Shuang. However, she can get help from people at Huamao Hotel. Would she be foolish enough to become the scapegoat herself? All things considered, you're the most suitable scapegoat!"

Liu Wei turned pale with fright at Ye Qing's words, almost believing them. But after calming down, Liu Wei smiled and said, "Ye Qing, anyone can say scary things. I'm not easily scared. Although the school knows that my artwork was plagiarized, they probably won't let me participate in the selection now. This matter is probably best left unsaid. In order to maintain a long-term cooperation with Zitai Fashion, the school probably won't expose my shortcomings and spread rumors about me. That would make everyone lose face."
