Wang Shufen took a basket and then explained:
"Two more quail eggs have hatched on the kang (heated brick bed), those two little ones. Sister, you can leave me six. They're too small to tell the sex of the two. Take whichever you like."
"OK."
Lu Fangfang looked at the quail in the basket, and then picked them up and put them in the basket.
Including the smallest quail, she collected a total of twenty-four, filling the basket.
After saying goodbye to Sister Shufen, she carefully carried the quail in the basket back home.
Upon entering the room, she glanced around and saw that Mrs. Zhuang was still asleep. The old lady was sleeping very well.
The quail are still too small to be put in the large bamboo cages outside.
She looked around the house but couldn't find anything to put the quail in, so she simply put it on the floor and planned to weave a small cage out of bamboo later.

When the little quails arrived in the unfamiliar place, they didn't run around; they all huddled together.
Lu Fangfang reached out and touched their bellies, finding nothing inside. It seemed that Sister Shufen hadn't fed them that morning.
She took a small bowl and mixed some cornmeal.
"Chirp chirp..."
The little quails immediately swarmed around and began scrambling to eat.
"Meow~"
Inside the room, Little Flower woke up. Hearing the quail's chirping, it immediately grabbed the door to the inner room.
Hearing the snow leopard's cry, the little quails forgot about their food and huddled together, shivering.
Lu Fangfang looked at it and immediately felt a headache coming on.
She was so captivated by the little flower's fluffy cuteness that she forgot about this.
Hearing Xiao Hua cry out again, she quickly went into the inner room and covered its mouth.
