Chapter 127 The Stubborn Little Flower

"Old Xu, I'm really sorry to have made you worry. Xiao Hua is stubborn, so just leave her with me."

As she spoke, Lu Fangfang turned to look at the horse pen.

The little wild donkey was with a group of military horses, and at first glance, you really couldn't tell it was a donkey.

Turning her head to look again, Lu Fangfang saw that there was a large hole in the bottom of Old Xu's door, and she didn't know what to say.

No wonder this little guy's claws are so worn out.

Lu Fangfang shook her head and went over to repair the wooden door.

The door to Old Xu's house wasn't in great condition to begin with, and now the inside is covered in claw marks from Xiao Hua's scratches, making it look even more pitiful.

"Old Xu, I'll buy you a new wooden door in a few days."

"Don't bother, it's fine as it is. Little Flower has left some claw marks, which is much prettier than being completely black."

Finding an old nail, Lu Fangfang used a stone to nail the wooden board that Xiaohua had torn off back into place.

After finishing her work, she thanked Lao Xu again.

"Comrade Lu, please stop talking. This was my fault. Luckily, nothing bad happened. Xiao Hua isn't here anymore either. You can take these dried meats back with you."

"Old Xu, this is not your fault. It's all because Xiao Hua is stubborn."

Lu Fangfang shook her head and took the oil paper package.

After staying a while longer, seeing Xu Huayun drive away with her horse and lead the wild donkey, she prepared to go back.

Halfway there, just after she crossed the stream, she heard the sound of a car behind her.

Looking back, I saw two military jeeps driving up the road in the distance.

Lu Fangfang's heart tightened. She looked closely and realized that the two vehicles didn't belong to the regiment. Needless to say, it must be people from higher up who had come.

She was surprised that they arrived so quickly and hurriedly returned to the family compound.

"Meow~"

At home, Xiao Hua had just woken up. When she saw Lu Fangfang return, she rushed over.

"You troublesome little rascal."

Lu Fangfang sighed, unwrapped the oil paper, and fed Xiaohua some dried fish and rabbit meat.

After the little guy had eaten and drunk his fill, Lu Fangfang carried him into the inner room.

She removed the wooden board blocking the kang (heated brick bed) and pushed Xiaohua inside. "Xiaohua, you stay inside quietly and don't make a sound. I'll let you out tonight."

She patted Xiaohua's head, then went out to get a bowl of water and put it in the bowl.

Little Flower lay in the kang hole, looking outside. This time, it was very well-behaved.

Lu Fangfang went out and found a thin stone slab. She had just blocked the hole in the kang (a heated brick bed) when she heard a knock on the door.
