On the donkey cart, the little yellow dog turned its head and leaned against Xiaohua.
Beside her, Lu Fangfang changed to a new sheet of drawing paper and quickly began to sketch the scene.
After a while, the baby Tibetan foxes finished eating the pika and all scurried back into their burrows. The mother Tibetan fox also ran off to hunt in the distant grasslands, leaving only the haggard male Tibetan fox behind.
Lu Fangfang glanced at it, then called out to the little wild donkey and left.
She looked at the two sketches and smiled.
This trip was definitely worthwhile; these two sketches can be used as material for a children's book.
Instead of rushing to find the Pallas's rabbit, she patted the little wild donkey and went to a small hillside to observe the groundhogs.
This new cluster of burrows belonging to the marmot family looks like there are a few more now.
Meanwhile, on the surrounding hillsides, marmots were busy at work.
Winter is approaching, and they are busy transporting hay into their burrows, paying no attention to the donkey cart not far away.
Lu Fangfang held her easel and began to paint this scene.
In winter, the marmots hibernate, and then you can't see them. They will only wake up when spring comes and the flowers bloom the following year.
She should hurry up and draw as many as possible while she still has time.
After a while, the little wild donkey looked back.
Seeing that Lu Fangfang was busy, it was a little bored.
It lowered its head and nibbled on some grass, then took a few more steps forward.
"Ah...ah..."
On the hillside, a chubby marmot stood upright, braying loudly at the little wild donkey, as if trying to scare it away.
The little wild donkey wagged its tail and continued munching on the grass, completely ignoring the groundhog.
"Ah...ah..."
Upon seeing this, the marmot on the hillside immediately called to a companion and walked towards the little wild donkey.
They circled the little wild donkey for a while, still unsure of what to do, and could only bray angrily again.
"Oh...ah..."
The little wild donkey got annoyed, looked back, and then kicked the groundhog with its hind leg.
"Bang!"
Its donkey hoof landed squarely on the groundhog's chest.
The chubby groundhog flew away with a scream.
On the hillside, a group of groundhogs immediately looked over warily.
"Oh...ah..."
The little wild donkey tilted its head back and brayed triumphantly at the marmots on the hillside.
Not far away, the groundhog that had been kicked away by the wild donkey took a while to slowly get up.
Fortunately, it had saved up fat all summer and was now at its fattest. After glancing at the little wild donkey, it dared not bray anymore and turned to disappear into the burrow.
Seeing this, the other groundhogs also scurried into their burrows to hide.
"You stubborn mule, you're really something else."
Lu Fangfang laughed unkindly.
She was stunned when the little wild donkey kicked the groundhog away.
It truly lives up to its reputation as a stubborn donkey; ordinary wild animals really can't do anything about it.
The way the groundhog flies away is quite funny.
"Oh...ah..."
The little wild donkey brayed proudly and then lowered its head to nibble on the grass again.
