Chapter 466 The Little Guys at the Farm

"Giggle~"

"Don't worry, I won't touch you today."

Lu Fangfang went to the yard and dug up some broken corn, then fed the goose and two ducks.

Looking at the two snow chickens in the bamboo cage, she swallowed hard. These two snow chickens had actually survived in the bamboo cage, but they didn't look very energetic.

She plans to raise it for a while longer, then trim its wings and release it; keeping it confined indefinitely isn't a good idea.

Next year, she will breed more birds to pay off the debt of catching snow chickens for Big Fat, and then she will eat the rest herself.

Back inside, Lu Fangfang washed her hands and then lifted the pot lid to check. "Xiuxiu, have you tried it? How does it taste?"

After all, it was a Class II protected animal in later generations, and she was quite curious about the taste of the sturgeon.

"It's quite delicious, but it has a lot of bones."

As Xiuxiu spoke, she took the bowl, scooped out a piece of fish, and handed it to her sister.

Lu Fangfang took a bite and couldn't help but nod. The taste was indeed quite good, but there were so many fish bones, many of them small ones. She had to be careful when eating it.

She walked to the west side of the house and tidied up the things she had bought that day.

She especially took the two and a half pounds of fatty pork, wrapped it in paper, and put it in the urn in the yard. She also put the remaining sturgeon in there.

The outside temperature is low, so the meat won't spoil until spring.

Just as they were tidying up, Zhuang Mingcheng pushed open the door and came back.

Seeing his wife packing her things, he rolled up his sleeves and quickly stepped forward to help. "Fangfang, you've bought quite a lot. What's in this bag?"

"Peach shortbread, it's Chinese New Year, we have to eat something good."

Lu Fangfang took the things from her husband's hands and put them into the cupboard.

"Sister, brother-in-law, come and eat! The fish has been cooking for a while now."

"Why."

Lu Fangfang told Zhuang Mingcheng to wash his hands quickly, and then sat down to eat dinner.

The group tasted the sturgeon and thought it was pretty good, except that there were too many bones.

Lu Fangfang ate a few pieces, then simply started drinking the fish soup.

Beside him, Zhuang Mingcheng ate while talking about things in the troupe.

"On the 20th of the twelfth lunar month, Sister-in-law Shuhua will bring the provincial cultural troupe to perform for the troops. Fangfang and Xiuxiu, come and watch together. They will also show a movie in the auditorium tonight."

Lu Fangfang was still somewhat dazed as she listened.

She had originally planned to work in a performing arts troupe, but six months later, instead of joining the troupe, she started a breeding farm.

"A performing arts troupe? A movie theater?"

Beside her, Xiuxiu's eyes lit up, and she immediately became interested.

"Sis, shall we go see it then?"

"become."

Lu Fangfang smiled and nodded.

After dinner, she didn't go back to drawing picture books. Instead, she heated the kang (a traditional heated brick bed) until it was warm and went to bed early.

She was exhausted after a long day.

Buying New Year's goods these days is like waging war.
