Chapter 213 A letter from Wang Changjun.

After seeing that everyone wanted to raise pigs, Grandpa Yu said to Li Dazhuang, who was standing to the side:

"Dazhuang, take a count and see how many people want to raise pigs, how many they want to raise, and then remember to catch piglets. It's springtime now, the perfect time to catch pigs."

Li Dazhuang nodded to the side, then addressed the villagers:

"Everyone, come with me to the brigade headquarters. Let me know if anyone wants a few pigs, and a few people will come with me to the pig farm to catch them."

Under Wei Mo's guidance, the villagers are now extremely interested in catching pigs. They nodded in agreement, and almost every household sent one person to the brigade headquarters.

Not long after the vast crowd departed, the sound of the Great Luo resounded again.

After everyone left, only Wei Mo's family and the children from each household remained. The fishing competition continued, and a group of children were particularly excited by the river.

Grandpa Yu was also a fishing enthusiast. He had already handed the matter over to Li Dazhuang, and then said to Wei Mo, who was standing to the side:

"Grandson, get me a fishing rod too. I want to go fishing for a while and see if I'm as good as these kids."

Upon hearing that the old man wanted to go fishing, Wei Mo handed his own fishing rod to him without hesitation and even tied a few hooks to the fishing line for him.

The old man was very satisfied with what he saw. He picked up his fishing rod, sat down between Wei Xiaomin and Wei Xiaohui, baited the hook, and cast it into the river.

When Wei Xiaomin saw her grandfather fishing, she became excited again and said to Grandpa Yu beside her:

"Grandpa, Grandpa, let's have a competition to see who can catch more. They can't catch as many as me. I've caught so many already, it's not fun at all. Let's have a competition between the two of us!"

The old man looked at the mischievous Wei Xiaomin in front of him, a smile appearing on his lips. He nodded to Wei Xiaomin, then glanced at Wei Xiaohui on the other side, who remained quiet. The old man then said to the two children:

"Xiaomin, Xiaohui, let's have a competition among the three of us to see who can catch the most."

Wei Xiaohui glanced at the old man beside her, then nodded happily, and the three of them began their little competition.

In the end, Wei Xiaomin won the fishing competition, and Wei Xiaohui came in second. After all, there were too many fishhooks, and with Wei Mo helping to cheat, it would be difficult for her not to win. However, in the competition against the three of them, the old man won.

All the children caught fish, and they even used fishing rods to catch them, so they all found it very interesting. It wasn't until the sun was about to set that they all returned home one by one, and Mrs. Qian started cooking.

The next morning, Li Dazhuang arrived at Wei Mo's house. He stood outside the courtyard and called out to Grandpa Yu. Upon hearing this, Grandpa Yu immediately came out.

Li Dazhuang was standing there dumbfounded, holding an envelope in his hand. The house of Wei Mo's family was not particularly soundproof, and the people inside could hear the conversation outside.

The old man looked at Li Dazhuang with suspicion, and only after seeing the envelope in his hand did he speak to Li Dazhuang:

"Dazhuang, whose letter is this? Is it from our family?"

Li Dazhuang nodded, then handed the envelope to Old Master Yu before speaking:

"Grandpa, it seems to be a letter for Comrade Zhou Fen. Please give it to her in a bit."

Grandpa Yu nodded, but before he could speak, Li Dazhuang continued to ask:

"Uncle Village Chief, nowadays every household is raising pigs. Do you want to raise a few?"

After hearing this, Grandpa Yu thought for a moment and was about to nod when he thought about it again. Raising pigs was a good idea, but he should ask his grandson first, since his grandson could always produce pork.

Ever since Old Master Yu learned that Wei Mo had a secret, Wei Mo became even more unscrupulous, taking out a large piece of pork every few days.

Grandpa Yu told Li Dazhuang to wait, then returned to the house and knocked on Wei Mo's door.

Wei Mo had already overheard their conversation and quickly opened the door to welcome the old man into the room. Before the old man could speak, Wei Mo directly said to him:

"Grandpa, it's fine whether we raise them or not, we'll never lack meat anyway, but it would be good to raise a couple."

"Let's just use this as a cover-up for taking meat out. Otherwise, if our family always eats meat, it will arouse suspicion from other families."

The old man's lips curled into a wide grin, a truly hearty smile. He then reached out and patted Wei Mo's head before speaking:

"Alright, I'll do whatever my great-grandson says."

After the old man finished speaking, he went out of the room and told Li Dazhuang about it. Li Dazhuang nodded and then said to the old village chief:

"Uncle Yu, if you need any, you can get them from the brigade headquarters. I bought a lot of pigs this time."

After Li Dazhuang left, Grandpa Yu returned to the house, still clutching Zhou Fen's letter in his hand.

Wang Zhenhua didn't go to the weaving group yet, since it was still early. After the old man entered the house, he went to Wang Zhenhua's east room.

He first handed the envelope to Zhou Fen, then said to her:

"Zhou Fen, a letter has arrived. Take a look quickly."

Zhou Fen was still a little confused. Why would her family send her a letter? After she took the letter from the old man, she saw the name on the envelope and instantly realized something.

Her face flushed slightly. Qian Manman, who was standing next to Zhou Fen, also came over and said to her:

"Sister Zhou Fen, whose letter is this? Open it quickly and take a look."

Zhou Fen seemed a little embarrassed, holding the envelope tightly to her face as if she didn't want Qian Manman to find out, but the more she did this, the more attention she attracted from everyone in the room.

Even Wang Zhenhua came over. Qian Manman was a little confused. She stood on tiptoe, trying to see the name on the envelope.

Zhou Fen kept dodging, and just as the two were fooling around, Qian Manman seemed to suddenly think of something. She opened her mouth wide and said in disbelief:

"Sister Zhou Fen, could it be that Wang Changjun from the train sent you a letter?"

As Qian Manman exclaimed in surprise, Grandpa Yu and Wang Zhenhua, who were standing nearby, also became interested in the letter.

Seeing that Qian Manman had already guessed, Zhou Fen decided to stop avoiding the question. She nodded to Qian Manman, then blushed.

Qian Manman quickly stood next to Zhou Fen, and so did Wang Zhenhua. Moreover, because of the noise in the room, Grandma Yu, Li Xiuxiu, and Wei Mo all came to the east room.

Everyone gathered around Zhou Fen, waiting for her to open the letter and read it aloud.

After all, this is a matter of great importance concerning Zhou Fen's life, and Zhou Fen clearly has feelings for Wang Changjun.

Seeing that she was surrounded by her family, Zhou Fen gritted her teeth and, under everyone's gaze, opened the envelope and took out four sheets of paper.

Not only that, but they also pulled out several receipts, some stamps, and even a dollar in cash from the envelope.

Wang Zhenhua and the others helped Zhou Fen pick up the tickets and stamps that had fallen to the ground. Then, they all looked at Zhou Fen, waiting for the contents of the letter that Wang Changjun was writing to her.
