Chapter 7 Three Big Hammers Found

The next second, the two old ladies quickly exchanged things and then parted after exchanging greetings.

Old Mrs. Yu was in a good mood and stuffed half a steamed bun into Yu Li's hand: "My dear, you didn't have enough for lunch, right? If you are hungry, you can eat this first."

In fact, Yu Li ate a lot at noon. This was her first time to drink chicken soup and eat chicken. Swish, it still smells delicious when she thinks about it now. She originally thought that sweet potato porridge was delicious, but she didn’t expect that the meat was the most delicious.

Her round eyes rolled around and she went back to find some meat to eat. She still had a lot of human food to eat. Oh no, the steamed bun in her hand didn't smell good anymore.

It was just that Old Mrs. Yu was in a bad mood, probably because she didn't eat enough and was frustrated, so she felt hungry, so she took half a steamed bun, thinking of eating it when she was hungry.

Soon they arrived at the supply and marketing cooperative. Old Mrs. Yu put her down and told her not to run around or bad people might kidnap her. She let her play on the side and asked the salesperson for what she wanted.

Yu Li looked around curiously at first, but he didn't know if they came at the wrong time, the counter was empty and there was nothing unusual.

She soon felt bored. After all, she didn't know what these things were for, so she sat by the door and looked at the people outside.

Suddenly she saw a person and was surprised. It was a dirty homeless boy whose face could not be seen clearly. This was not the point. The point was that she could not read the little boy's thoughts. This was the first time she could not read someone else's thoughts.

When she noticed the little boy, the little boy also noticed her, but his attention seemed to be on her hands.

Yu Li immediately realized that the little boy must be hungry, so she quietly ran over and stuffed the steamed bun into his hand, saying that it was clean because she hadn't bitten it. She was afraid that Grandma Yu would find out that she had run away, so she ran back to the door of the supply and marketing cooperative.

Just then, Old Lady Yu had finished shopping, so she picked her up and prepared to go home. Yu Li saw that the little boy was still standing there in a daze, and was a little worried that the little boy would feel hurt in his self-esteem and throw the steamed bun away.

Yu Li gestured to the little boy to eat the steamed bun. It was not known whether he understood or not, but he slowly took a bite of the steamed bun and looked at Yu Li.

Yu Li waved to him with relief and smiled at him. Soon, Old Lady Yu took her away until the little boy could no longer be seen.

She hoped to see him again next time she came, but she didn't know his name yet.

"Wow, you finished the steamed bun so quickly." After walking for a long time, Mrs. Yu finally reacted and said in surprise. Although it was only half a steamed bun, it was still enough for the little kid.

Of course Yu Li couldn't say that she gave the steamed bun to someone else, so she could only change the subject: "Hey! Grandma, look what that is."

Yu Li was pointing aimlessly, but he didn't expect to hear Old Lady Yu exclaim, "Oh my God! Why are there three big hammers here?"

Yu Li looked over, oh, three ginsengs, her good luck seemed to appear suddenly again.

Old Mrs. Yu exclaimed as she deftly put the three ginsengs into her backpack. She picked a few large leaves and spread them on the ginsengs. She kissed Yu Li's little face with joy. It was obvious that she had brought them here in this remote place.

Old Mrs. Yu walked towards the village at a brisk pace and soon saw the fields outside the village. At this time, the hardworking villagers were working hard.

Outside the field, Old Lady Yu told Yu Li to pretend to be asleep. Yu Li understood what she meant and knew that she was asking her to pretend to be sick so that Old Lady Yu could go to her father to discuss the matter of the big stick.

Everything was ready. Old Mrs. Yu rushed to the edge of the field with an anxious look and called out, "Third brother, your daughter has a heat stroke. Please take your daughter to see Doctor Liu."

Yu Jiankang, who was taking a break from his busy work in the fields, heard his old mother's voice. He was worried that his little girl was sick. He told the team leader anxiously, took his little girl from his mother's arms, and hurried back to the village.

Old Mrs. Yu followed closely behind, and took the opportunity to explain to the acquaintances she met on the road that her granddaughter had suffered from heatstroke.

They soon arrived at the village clinic. There was a sign outside saying no one was home, but Yu Jiankang still knocked on the door and called out, "Mr. Liu, it's me, Jiankang. My little girl has had a heat stroke."

After a while, the door opened and Yu Jiankang and Old Lady Yu walked in quickly. It was Doctor Liu who opened the door for them. He closed the door and then locked it.

"What happened? Your little girl just recovered, how come she got heatstroke again?" Doctor Liu said reproachfully.

Old Mrs. Yu quickly said, "My granddaughter is fine. I'm just making an excuse because I have something good that I want you to help me with."

Yu Jiankang also saw Yu Li open his eyes, blinking energetically and calling him dad sweetly. He also realized that his daughter was just a cover. He ruffled his daughter's soft hair with his hand and was curious about what happened to his mother.

Doctor Liu also became interested, and soon his eyes lit up, because Old Lady Yu took out three ginseng roots: "What do you want to do with them? These three are all good stuff."

Yu Jiankang was also surprised when he saw it, but he didn't ask his mother where it came from. "Old Liu, there's no need to explain our relationship. Please help us check it out. Give the big one away, and you can take one of the two small ones. I want to save some for the other side after I prepare the other one."
