Instructor Gao stood up, walked a few steps with his hands behind his back, and continued, "As the saying goes, a virtuous woman is afraid of a clinging man."
He squinted at Han Yan and said, "Isn't this enough to win back my sister-in-law's heart?"
Han Yan thought thoughtfully: "It seems to make sense."
"Of course that makes sense," Instructor Gao placed his hand on Han Yan's shoulder and said, "Come on, brother. I'm rooting for you."
Han Yan glanced at his hand, picked up the used handkerchief that Lin Shu had left on the stool, and stared at it in a daze.
Lin Shu, who left the ward, had no idea that the two men in the ward were discussing how to win her heart back.
She walked to the end of the corridor, stood by the window, and looked outside, slightly lost in thought.
"So pretentious." After an unknown amount of time, Lin Shu secretly despised himself.
Then she realized belatedly why she had to run away.
Lin Shu composed himself and returned to the ward.
Han Yan's eyes lit up when he saw her come in, and he gave her a flattering smile.
Lin Shu turned his head away proudly. "I'm in a bad mood right now, so I don't want to pay attention to him."
Han Yan felt disappointed but also relieved. Regardless, it was good enough that she was willing to pay attention to him.
The next morning.
As soon as Lin Shu entered the ward, he found that Han Yan and Instructor Gao, who were talking, immediately stopped talking and looked mysterious.
Lin Shu looked at the two of them curiously.
Ahem. Instructor Gao coughed. "Why is this room a little stuffy?"
As he walked out the door, he said, "I'm going out to get some fresh air."
"Yeah, it's a bit stuffy indeed." Han Yan glanced at her and agreed.
Lin Shu found this poor acting funny and did not expose them.
