Chapter 87 Heart

Lin Shu felt his touch on the place where her neck was hit, and she felt embarrassed. It turned out that he was just looking at the wound on her neck.

"It's okay." Lin Shu comforted softly, "It may look serious."

"sorry."

"What?" Lin Shu looked at him in confusion.

"I'm sorry." Han Yan reached out and hugged her, saying in her ear.

"No need to say sorry." Lin Shu's lips curled slightly, and she hugged his waist back. Only then did she realize that he was blaming himself.

"Look, you arrived in time and saved Xiaoxue and me." Lin Shu said softly, "You are amazing."

Han Yan let her go, stared into her eyes and said, "No, what I want to say is that you can tell me your worries, your fears, your pain, and your pain, instead of holding on alone and telling others, even me, that you are fine."

"You can rely on me." Han Yan held her face gently with one hand and said seriously.

Lin Shu's movements paused, her eyes flickered slightly, the corners of her mouth slowly lowered, and her hand gripping his clothes tightened.

The wall she had built inside of her collapsed in half.

Perhaps she was born with memories of her past life, or perhaps she knew she wasn't her parents' biological daughter. She repeatedly told herself to be sensible and not cause trouble for others. Gradually, she learned to bear it alone and to be strong.

So he had discovered everything. Lin Shu's nose felt sore and his eyes moistened.

She suddenly threw herself into Han Yan's arms and hugged him tightly.

She didn't know how long she could rely on this embrace, but she wanted to try to believe and learn to rely on it.

Han Yan also hugged her tightly.

"Han Yan."

"Um?"

"My hands hurt, and my neck hurts too." Lin Shu rubbed his face against him and said coquettishly.

"My dear, it doesn't hurt. I'll apply medicine on you later." Han Yan coaxed gently.

Lin Shu couldn't help but raise the corner of his mouth: "But I'm hungry."

"Be good, let's eat first and then apply the medicine." Han Yan said softly.

Lin Shu chuckled: "I'm not a child."

The two let go of each other and looked at each other deeply.

"In my eyes, you will always be a child, someone who needs to be cared for and loved." Han Yan gently scratched her nose, "Come in, let's eat first."

"Yeah." Lin Shu smiled sweetly at him.

The two walked into the main room.

Aunt Liang, Han Xue and Li Qiu looked at them.

Aunt Liang covered her mouth and laughed.

Only then did Lin Shu realize that her hand was still holding Han Yan's hand. Her face turned red and she immediately let go.

"Mom, let's eat first." Han Yan said, looking at her gently.

"Yes, yes, yes." Aunt Liang stood up. "You've been tired all night and are hungry. I'll quickly take the food over and heat it up."

Lin Shu and the others quickly stood up to help.

"You and Xiaoxue, sit still." Aunt Liang said, pushing them to sit down. "Now is the time to rest."

Lin Shu and Han Xue looked at each other, both showing helpless expressions, and sat back obediently.

At this time, Han Shan, Han Xin, Qin Hao and others came back.

"Are you okay?" Han Shan and Han Xin asked worriedly at the same time.

"We are all fine." Lin Shu looked at Han Xue.

Han Shan and Han Xin both breathed a sigh of relief.

"It's good that you're okay, it's good that you're okay." Han Shan stepped forward and gently placed his hand on Han Xue's shoulder.

Soon, Aunt Liang and Li Qiu brought the food up.

Maybe because she and Xiaoxue returned safely, everyone enjoyed the dinner particularly happily.

After dinner, Lin Shu was held by Aunt Liang's hand: "Don't go back so late. It's very tiring. Sleep in the same room with Xiaoxue."

Lin Shu looked at Han Yan who was standing beside him.

"Stay." Han Yan said.

Lin Shu thought about it and nodded, looking at Aunt Liang a little embarrassedly: "Thank you for your help."

"What's the trouble?" Aunt Liang looked happy.

Lin Shu simply washed up and just walked into Han Xue's room and closed the door when he heard a knock on the door.

Lin Shu and Han Xue looked at each other.

"Who is it?" Lin Shu went over and opened the door.

It’s Han Yan.

Lin Shu's eyes curved slightly: "Why are you here?"

Han Yan gently tapped her forehead with his finger: "Medicine."

"Oh, that's right!" Lin Shu smiled. She couldn't just take out the medicine out of thin air.

"I'll help you apply it."

"No, no," Lin Shu immediately waved his hand, "Xiaoxue can help me." She couldn't let him come in and apply it in front of Xiaoxue.

"Then go to bed early after applying it." Han Yan looked gentle and raised his hand to rub her hair.

Lin Shu pulled his hand down and smiled sweetly: "You too."

After closing the door, Han Xue sat on the bed and looked at her, covering her mouth and laughing.

Lin Shu's face flushed and he coughed uncomfortably.

The next morning, Lin Shu and Han Xue both got up late.

"Auntie Liang, I'm sorry for sleeping in so late." Lin Shu said embarrassedly. It was awkward to sleep in when staying at someone else's house.

"What's the big deal?" Aunt Liang said nonchalantly, "Everyone gets tired sometimes."

Lin Shu felt relieved and asked, "Where are Han Yan and the others?"

"He left early this morning," Aunt Liang said. "He said he was sending those traffickers to the police station."

"He should be shot." She said angrily with her fists clenched.

Lin Shu nodded.

"By the way, you don't have to go to work today. Yan Zi has asked for leave for you." Aunt Liang looked at her and grinned.

Lin Shu's face flushed and he nodded embarrassedly.

Ever since Aunt Liang found out that she and Han Yan were dating, she became more unusually enthusiastic than before.

Han Yan and Qin Hao didn't come back until the afternoon.

"What's going on?" Lin Shu went to meet them as soon as he saw them.

Han Yan raised his hand and wanted to touch her face.

Lin Shu immediately dodged and glanced at Qin Hao next to him.

Qin Hao's gossipy expression immediately disappeared, and he said seriously, "You guys chat, I'll go in first. I've been running around all day and I'm pretty tired."

Lin Shu saw Qin Hao enter the room and glared at Han Yan.

Han Yan raised the corner of his mouth slightly and stretched out his hand towards her.

Lin Shu held his hand and said in a soft voice, "Be careful about the occasion." This is in the yard, and you never know who might come over.

"Then let's go inside and take a look." Han Yan said, holding her hand with his backhand and pulling her into the room.

"What are you looking at?" Lin Shu didn't react for a moment and was pulled into the room by him.

Han Yan closed the door, turned around, pulled her into his arms, and said in a deep voice, "Don't move."

Lin Shu stood there obediently, his cheeks burning.

She felt Han Yan lift up the back of her collar and gently touch the place where she was hit.

Lin Shu suddenly realized something and couldn't help but reach out and grab Han Yan's clothes. He didn't know why, but this time the touch felt different from the last time...

"Why is it still so swollen?" Han Yan asked, his tone full of dissatisfaction.

Lin Shu's lips curled slightly: "It's only been one night, it won't be that fast."

Han Yan touched her gently again before pulling her collar in place.

He held Lin Shu in his arms, rubbed his chin against her head, and sighed softly: "I really want to put you in my pocket."
