Chapter 88 Before Departure

Lin Shu laughed and hugged him. He had said the same thing last time.

The two hugged each other quietly for a while.

"Oh right." Lin Shu looked up and said, "How are those three? And, have you found the other one?"

"I can't escape." The coldness around Han Yan poured out, and then quickly retracted.

Lin Shu frowned slightly: "I feel," she paused, "that the old man might have done something wrong three years ago."

She told Han Yan about the conversation between the two people that night.

"He seems to be..." Lin Shu frowned, a flash of inspiration came to his mind, but it was too fast to catch.

Han Yan raised his hand and gently stroked her brow: "Don't think too much, leave it to me."

Lin Shu nodded, took his hand, and interlocked his fingers. After hesitating for a moment, he looked up and asked, "Are you going back to the army?"

She could guess that Qin Hao was not here to visit him.

Han Yan paused, held her hand tightly, and hugged her again, whispering softly in her ear, "You don't want me to leave, huh?"

Lin Shu reached out and hugged him, feeling sad: "Yeah." She knew that once he returned to the army, it would be difficult for them to meet again.

Han Yan let her go, rested his forehead against hers, and said gently, "Then take me home early."

Lin Shu drowned himself in his affectionate eyes, and his heart beat faster.

She understood what he meant, and this time she had no other concerns.

She wanted to be beside him, with him.

"Yeah." She raised the corners of her mouth slightly and responded softly.

Han Yan's eyes suddenly lit up. He lowered his head and kissed Lin Shu on the forehead: "Thank you."

"You're welcome." Lin Shu smiled mischievously.

The two smiled at each other and hugged each other quietly. At this moment, saying nothing and doing nothing made people feel at ease.

Since they had decided to bring Han Yan home, they did not hide it and told Aunt Liang and the others about their decision while they were having dinner together.

"Really?" Aunt Liang was so excited that she danced with joy. "I've been looking forward to it so much every day, and it's finally happening."

"No, I have to go and prepare something to give to my in-laws. I can't be rude." After saying this, Aunt Liang didn't even eat her meal and walked into the house in a hurry.

"Auntie Liang..." Lin Shu stood up and wanted to pull Auntie Liang back. There was no need to prepare at this time.

Han Yan held her hand and shook his head at her.

Lin Shu sat down helplessly and looked at Han Shan, Han Xin and the others. They all looked very happy.

"Swallow, congratulations." Han Xin raised his glass towards Han Yan.

"Brother, I finally got my beautiful girl." Qin Hao said jokingly, "Now I'm all alone."

Lin Shu glanced at Han Xue calmly. The smile on her face paused, and a trace of loneliness flashed in her eyes.

"Second Uncle, Second Uncle," Xiao Huzi suddenly shouted, "You can't marry Sister Lin Shu."

"Why?" Li Qiu asked with a smile.

Everyone present looked at him.

"Because when I grow up, I want to marry Sister Lin Shu." Xiao Huzi said proudly.

Everyone burst into laughter.

Lin Shu smiled, met Han Yan's smiling eyes, and shyly looked away.

In the evening, Han Yan sent Lin Shu back to the educated youth compound.

Arriving at the gate of the compound, Han Yan sighed, "How did we get here so quickly? I really want to keep walking."

Lin Shu burst out laughing and jokingly said, "I can't walk that far."

"Then I'll carry you." Han Yan lowered his voice and said, "When you're old and can't walk anymore, I'll carry you on my back, okay?"

Lin Shu's face flushed, and he stammered, "I'm very heavy."

"It's not heavy." Han Yan smiled and said seriously, "I've carried it before."

Lin Shu recalled the first time he carried him on his back. "Then you are not allowed to regret it," he said arrogantly.

"I will never regret it." Han Yan said seriously.

The two smiled at each other.

"Do you want me to close my eyes?" Han Yan suddenly said.

"What?" Lin Shu looked confused.

Han Yan raised his eyebrows, put his hands on his face, and looked at her meaningfully.

Lin Shu was stunned, his face flushed, and he clapped his hands: "You wish." After saying that, he turned around and ran into the courtyard.

Han Yan stood there with a look of regret on his face.

As soon as we returned to the dormitory, Xu Juan and Xiao Qiao immediately sat over.

"Lin Shu, are you okay?" Xu Juan and Xiao Qiao looked worried.

Lin Shu was stunned for a moment, then realized that they were talking about what happened last night.

Her heart warmed: "It's okay." Then, she briefly told them what happened last night.

"It's so scary," Xu Juan said in a horrified tone. "I never thought human traffickers would dare to come into the brigade and kidnap people."

"Yes," Xiao Qiao said, "At first, the captain and his men were looking for you everywhere. We were all worried sick."

Xu Juan nodded vigorously: "We all want to go out and look for you. The captain told us not to go out."

"The captain is right," Lin Shu said, "After all, there are too many potential dangers."

"Fortunately, Comrade Han Yan sent someone to tell us you were back."

Lin Shu felt warm in his heart, he even thought of this.

"Don't worry, everything is fine. They have all been arrested." Lin Shu comforted.

Xu Juan and Xiao Qiao both breathed a sigh of relief.

"Just catch him." Xiao Qiao said.

Lin Shu hesitated for a while, but still told them about her and Han Yan.

"I'm going to take Han Yan to meet his parents." Lin Shu said.

"Really?" Xu Juan and Xiao Qiao looked excited.

Lin Shu smiled and nodded.
