Chapter 92 Song Hengjue wants a divorce?

The hand under the table gripped Song Hengjue's sleeve tightly.

Song Hengjue poured a glass of water for Master Xu and pushed it in front of him, saying in a kind and gentle voice, "Master Xu, if you help us with this matter, we'll prioritize supplying you with fans in the future."

Master Xu was tempted, but still gritted his teeth and refused: "Hengjue, you know my personality. I hate betrayal the most. Everything else is negotiable, but I can't betray Boss Yang."

This put even Song Hengjue in a difficult position.

Master Xu waved his hand: "If you came to see me today just for this matter, I'm sorry I can't help you. Go back."

He pointed to the door, clearly indicating that he was seeing the guests off.

"Second Master, if you insist on doing this, then there's no need for us to cooperate anymore." Xu Lan picked up the bag on the table, her face full of anger, showing no sign of reluctance.

Song Hengjue nodded to Master Xu and chased after her. After chasing for a long time, he grabbed her shoulder.

"Xu Lan, calm down. Maybe things aren't as bad as you think."

Xu Lan turned around and shoved him away abruptly: "Of course you're not in a hurry. It's not like the person who got arrested is your family member. He's my only cousin. How can you expect me to stay calm?"

Song Hengjue remained silent.

Xu Lan grabbed his sleeve: "No, Song Hengjue, you have to help me with this."

“How can I help you? Your cousin agreed to it himself.” Song Hengjue had a headache.

The reason he introduced his cousin to work for Master Xu was because his family had a problem and urgently needed money. Later, the Bureau of Industry and Commerce tightened its regulations, and the boy's family became much better off financially. He asked Master Xu to fire the boy. It was his cousin who was greedy and made a promise to Master Xu.

Master Xu was right. If you take the money but don't want to take responsibility, there's no such thing as a free lunch.

Xu Lan's face turned ashen: "Song Hengjue, don't forget who my brother went to jail for. My brother is already in prison. What will he think if he sees that even his only cousin is in jail?"

Song Hengjue pursed his lips, his expression softening.

Xu Lan touched her belly: "Besides, this crime originally belonged to that Boss Yang. My cousin can't take the blame for her. He can just return double the money to her."

Song Hengjue said unhappily, "No, how is this any different from framing someone?"

"Song Hengjue!" Xu Lan said anxiously, "The amount involved is so large, it will either kill him or leave him half-dead. Can you really bear to let my cousin die?"

When the word "death" was mentioned, Song Hengjue seemed to have touched on a sensitive word. His fingers trembled, he fumbled in his shirt pocket, and finally took out a cigarette, put it in his mouth, hesitated for a moment, and did not light it.

"He looks like a perfectly normal person, but now he's lowering himself to argue with a barking dog." Yang Qingheng unbuckled her seatbelt and saw Tang Bainian approaching from afar, complaining aloud.

Tang Bainian was stunned when he heard this description, then realized who she was cursing, and chuckled with amusement.

"Okay, I'll listen to you and pay attention next time."

After saying only one sentence, Yang Qingheng looked out the window, clearly not very interested. After saying goodbye at the hospital, she went into the ward.

Tang Bainian hesitated, thinking that she was probably in a bad mood and wanted some peace and quiet, so he didn't follow her. He watched her figure disappear from the ward before driving back to the police station.

Yang Qingheng straightened her clothes twice in the hospital corridor, using the reflective signs to make sure she didn't look as disheveled as she had the night before, before pushing open the door to the ward.

"Mom, I'm back..."

The cheerful greetings stopped abruptly upon seeing the people inside the ward.

Yao Ying was chatting with a few people nearby. As soon as she saw her come in, she immediately sat up straight, waved to her, and pointed at the group of people, saying happily, "Your village chief uncle knows that my condition has stabilized, so he sent everyone to come and visit me."

Yang Qingheng nodded politely to everyone: "Hello, sisters-in-law and uncles."

Li Jiaoyan, sandwiched among her sisters-in-law, noticed her gaze sweeping over her. She crossed her arms, gave her a cold look, and then looked away in annoyance.

Yang Qingheng assumed she had seen a mad dog and pulled out a chair to sit down.

The moment she entered, Yao Ying's eyes and heart were completely on her.

"Qingheng, have you had breakfast yet? This is a sponge cake that your sister-in-law Sun brought me. She said it's made with fresh eggs and is good for your health. I can't eat anymore, so you can try it."

Looking at that pale face, Yao Ying couldn't help but think that she looked haggard. However, with so many people around, she couldn't very well ask, otherwise, who knows what kind of rumors would spread about her.

Sister-in-law Sun quickly chimed in, "Look at your dark circles. Staying at the hospital every day must be hard work. If you didn't know better, people would think you weren't her daughter-in-law, but Aunt Yao's own daughter."

Everyone sighed upon seeing this.

"Sister Ying, true friendship is revealed in times of trouble. Look at how busy you are, what daughter-in-law would do this? The other day when you fainted, I saw Qingheng so worried she was about to cry. Even a biological daughter wouldn't be this kind."

"Sister-in-law, you are so lucky to have such a daughter-in-law..."

...

In the past, Li Jiaoyan was always the center of attention at such occasions, and she had never been ignored. She was in a terrible mood and stomped her foot angrily, standing aside with her face contorted with rage.

"I'm blushing with all these compliments. My mother-in-law is good to me, so naturally I'm good to her too. Relationships are two-way. If she wasn't good to me, would I be this good to her?" Yang Qingheng flattered, pretending to be embarrassed, but inwardly she scoffed.

She vividly remembered how these people had treated her before; they were all opportunists. Now they were shamelessly trying to curry favor with her simply because they saw that she was close to Tang Bainian's family and thought there was something to gain from it.

As if knowing she didn't like this kind of occasion, Yao Ying grabbed a chicken cake from the side and stuffed it into her arms: "Qingheng, didn't you say the guesthouse rooms were booked until today? Hurry up and go check and renew your money, or they might throw your things out."
