Chapter 217 Panic

Chapter 217 Panic

"Is it not delicious?" Lin Xia asked curiously when she saw her aunt holding the food and saying she would not eat it.

"What's on it? Is it edible?" My aunt pointed at the small black dot on it. It looked like a black sesame seed and I didn't know if it was edible.

"It's edible." Lin Xia picked up a piece and tasted it. It was just the right sweetness and very juicy.

Although pitaya seeds cannot be absorbed, they are very nutritious. The most important thing is that they can speed up intestinal peristalsis and are very good for treating constipation.

When Aunt Lu saw her eating, she started to eat too. It had a light sweetness, and the small black seeds had a strange texture, a little crunchy and fun, but it wasn't bad.

When Wang Guilan was cooking, Aunt Lu was helping to light the fire. Seeing that she was quick and skillful and liked to keep clean, she thought that the young couple had found a good person.

When she smelled the aroma of the food, Aunt Lu thought it was even better. Looking at the delicious braised fish in front of her, she swallowed and said, "Your cooking smells so good! Such a great cooking skill is incredible!"

Wang Guilan blushed at the compliment, she didn't dare to accept it, "How could that be! I didn't know there were so many tricks to cooking before! Every family just puts some salt and cooks it, at most they put some soy sauce when cooking meat.

It’s only when I came to Comrade Lin’s place that I saw so many different ways to cook. It’s a bit troublesome, but the result is so delicious that it’s killing me.”

Upon hearing this, Aunt Lu realized that she had learned this from Lin Xia. She recalled the meal Lin Xia had cooked yesterday. It tasted so good that all the food was eaten up.

The two were chatting in the kitchen, while Lin Xia was flipping through books and looking up words in the dictionary in the room. She recently saw a very interesting ancient book that was written entirely in traditional Chinese characters, making it a bit difficult to read.

But she inexplicably felt that this book might not be simple, so she looked up the dictionary and translated it, only to find that it was full of ancient cosmetics. She immediately realized that this might be an ancient recipe left by someone.

Lin Xia couldn't help but feel a little excited, she knew too well the value of this thing.

She worked in this business in her previous life. The value of a cosmetic formula was difficult to measure in monetary terms. Although she couldn't even recognize some of the words now, it didn't stop her from getting excited.

Of course, after the excitement subsided, she began to read and look up the dictionary, converting the complicated text into plain language and copying it down carefully. Looking up the dictionary is a huge project and cannot be completed in a short time.

Fortunately, she had plenty of time, so she could take some time every day to slowly flip through the pages, and after a while she achieved considerable results.

When it was time to go home from school, An An came back and it was almost time for dinner. Lin Xia put her notes and books neatly into the cabinet and went downstairs to eat.

Wang Guilan went home after cooking. Because her aunt was there, she made three dishes for lunch: the braised fish with rich oil and red sauce that looked delicious with rice, the emerald green and tender Chinese cabbage, and the shrimp and seaweed soup that was so delicious that it made your mouth water.

Three dishes are not a lot. Lin Xia has been controlling her food intake and her appetite is not big. The little guy doesn’t eat much either. Aunt Lu is the main force in the battle.

After eating and drinking, Lin Xia started her lunch break. Aunt Lu didn't have the habit of sleeping, so she was thinking about finding something to do. Lin Xia cleaned the house very well.

She wanted to wipe the tables and cabinets, but she didn't even find a speck of dust.

Lin Xia usually uses her after-meal exercise to clean the house, to avoid sitting down right after a meal. The house is small and it isn't dirty at all if you clean it frequently, so the housework isn't tiring and can be done in a short while.

Aunt Lu had nothing to do, so she thought of Yang Hongmei, whom she met yesterday, and went to visit her.

With Aunt Lu at home, Lu Yuxiu felt relieved and applied for leave from his boss early on. He would definitely be there when Lin Xia gave birth.

Time passed by like this. Aunt Lu came to the island early because she was worried that Lin Xia would give birth early, but she didn't know what happened. Lin Xia was safe and sound, without any signs at all.

After dinner that day, Lin Xia was strolling around when she suddenly felt anxious. Her heart was beating very fast and she couldn't sit or stand.

"Lu Yuxiu!" Lin Xia stood still in the yard, shouting his name loudly.

Lu Yuxiu was washing dishes. Aunt Lu ran over and supported Lin Xia: "What's wrong? Do you have a stomachache?"

"My heart suddenly started beating very fast." Lin Xia covered her chest with one hand, comforting herself that with her aunt there, nothing serious would happen, but she couldn't stop feeling anxious.

Aunt Lu felt a little strange when she heard this. She had never encountered such a situation before and was afraid that Lin Xia would be scared, so she could only comfort her softly, "It's okay, it's okay."

The little guy looked at Lin Xia with a worried look on his face, "Mom?"

The shout was quite loud. Lu Yuxiu walked out quickly and saw the three people standing together. He felt nervous and asked, "What happened?"

"Hurry up and drive the car. Let's go to the hospital today." Aunt Lu said to Lu Yuxiu without hesitation. Regardless of whether she was about to give birth or not, going to the hospital was the safest option.

Lu Yuxiu looked serious, turned around and strode out.

Lu Yuxiu ran quickly to the camp. He could only borrow a car to go to the county hospital. Fortunately, he had applied in advance, so he just had to drive back.

He ran so fast that people who saw him only felt something flash by. They recognized it as a person from his back, but they couldn't tell who it was.

Lu Yuxiu arrived at the camp, took the car keys, and drove quickly towards home.

Lin Xia couldn't sit down at home. Once she sat down, she felt very nervous. She had never felt so uncomfortable since she became pregnant.

Aunt Lu went to pack up daily necessities. Lin Xia had already packed up the production items, so there was no need to pack them up again.

Hearing the sound of a car outside the door, Lin Xia was about to walk out when Lu Yuxiu strode in. Seeing that Lin Xia was still standing well, he breathed a sigh of relief.

On the way back, he was thinking wildly. The image of Lin Xia having a stomachache or lying in a pool of blood kept appearing in his mind. That feeling made his heart tighten and ache.

Seeing that she was fine now, Lu Yuxiu had an idea in his mind, but before he had time to think about it, he arrived home.

Lu Yuxiu simply carried Lin Xia horizontally and headed for the car. Lin Xia adapted well, as he had carried her a lot since she became pregnant. She knew that her weight was nothing to him, and he felt very safe as he walked steadily with her in his arms.

Aunt Lu followed with the luggage, and the little one followed in a panic. Aunt Lu put down the things in her hands, took the little one's hand and prepared to take her to the next door.

When she was packing up, Lin Xia had already done the work for her and asked her to stay at Aunt Hongmei's house for one night.

"Baby, go to your aunt's house and take a nap. Mom will be back in two days." Before getting in the car, Lin Xialin touched the little one's head and comforted her softly.

"Mom!" The little guy's face was panicked and he held Lin Xia's hand with tears in his eyes.
