Pei Wanwan had just finished making breakfast, and the couple agreed to go to the guesthouse to bid farewell to their parents after breakfast.
Just as she was about to bring breakfast into the main room to wait for her husband to finish his training, a smiling fellow appeared on the wall.
Sister-in-law, you can't say things like that.
Pei Wanwan blushed deeply with embarrassment.
"Sister-in-law, have you had breakfast yet?"
"Not yet, waiting for my ex-bride."
Xie Lin pushed open the door and came in, a twitch of his lips as he pulled down a self-proclaimed former bride.
"There's no class today. Auntie is going back home in a bit. Do you want to go to the city? I'll take you there to play."
"We have to go, you stinky egg. The waitress's little sister invited us to visit her sometime, it's been so long."
A date with a 5-month-old baby girl?
"Okay, sure."
Han Shuyun stared blankly at the empty cargo bed of the military truck.
"Xiao Xie, there are only 5 of us, and just 3 more chickens. Do we really need such a big vehicle?"
Xie Linxin said, "Auntie, there aren't many people, but there are a lot of animals, and they're huge. You just haven't seen them yet."
I promised the stinky babies in my spatial dimension I'd take them out of the city, so I'll keep my promise when I have some free time. Anyway, it's always fun.
"Auntie, I was planning to buy some things on my way back, so I drove this car."
Seeing this, Han Shuyun didn't say anything more and put her bicycle in the truck bed.
It just felt a bit creepy, like a lot of eyes were staring at me, and the wind was a bit strong and chilly, and the truck bed swayed every now and then.
The coolness was because the mischievous eldest brother, supporting his massive body, breathed into her ear, and the usually more composed second brother unusually echoed his behavior, following his husband's lead.
The car was shaking because Xie Da's family of four were jumping around, sticking out their tongues and making faces in front of Han Shuyun, having a great time, taking advantage of the fact that Han Shuyun couldn't see them.
Han Shuyun rubbed her ears.
"Xiao Xie, is this car really okay? It's shaking even though we haven't started driving it yet?"
She wondered if there was something dirty behind the car, otherwise why her ears wouldn't feel cold after leaving the back of the car, and why the car wouldn't shake anymore.
Fearing that others might overhear, they had to change their wording.
Xie Lin watched the pranks played by the few rascals.
What can he do with a troublemaker who's completely let loose?
You're lying through your teeth.
"Auntie, there's nothing wrong with the car, it's just that the road is uneven, and one of the wheels is right on the pothole, so the car is wobbling because the four wheels are unbalanced."
Han Shuyun looked in the direction he was pointing, and the wheels were indeed stopped on an uneven surface, and her unease disappeared.
She chuckled to herself at her own paranoia.
The three chickens and three crickets were thrown into the back of the car by Shishi to reunite with their friends.
This is the scene in her vision:
The eldest and second eldest brothers stuck their big heads out onto the roof of the car.
Xie Da and Zhou Er lay upright, each carrying Jiji Zha Zha, their heads piled on the roof of the car.
On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, each car had a cricket perched on its roof.
Guagua was no exception, stretching out his legs to keep pace with the others.
In short, from the front, there is a row of heads, each of a different kind.
Luckily, Han Shuyun didn't see it, otherwise she would have been scared out of her wits.
The kids were too naughty, so the head of the household didn't dare drive fast and instead drove slowly into the city, making Han Shuyun wonder, "Xiao Xie, did you not sleep well last night?"
She has to train during the day and take care of the kids and chickens at night. It must be very tiring. She has never seen a patriarch like this before.
But neither the baby nor the chicken wanted to follow her, so she had no way to share the burden.
Okay, very good.
Xie Lin laughed and said, "Auntie, it's rare for Shishi and Chou Chou to go out of the city. I'm walking a little slower so that they can learn the way and won't get lost if they ever run away."
Sanbao is very cooperative, "That's right."
After dropping Han Shuyun off at home, the car was parked at the hospital's staff quarters, and the head of the household took a large group of people out for a stroll.
There wasn't much to do in the city, except for a supply and marketing cooperative, so we all crowded into the small building.
The well-informed Chou Bao wasn't interested in the products on display; he was simply curious about how they were sold.
On the surface, there are 6 pairs of eyes, but in reality, there are 13 pairs of eyes of all sizes watching the sales staff and buyers go back and forth, watching how to buy, how to sell, and how to charge.
The eldest and second eldest were too big and might crowd people, so they climbed onto the roof beams and hung there.
"Hey, look! There are three chickens here. They're so lucky. It's getting cold and we don't even have enough cloth coupons to buy cloth, but these chickens are wearing clothes. They're more comfortable than us."
"Exactly. It doesn't even look like a defective piece of cloth. What a waste. Chickens should be cooked and eaten. People who keep chickens as pets must be idiots."
The three chickens were wearing drab little cloth shirts today, not as eye-catching as red ones, but still enough to make others envious.
"You're all so nosy, meddling in other people's business. Everyone raises a couple of chickens. You raise chickens to eat, but does that mean other people can't raise chickens as playmates?"
"I just saw it. It was brought over by a few kids. You're jealous that the kids have no playmates and are playing with chickens? Aren't you ashamed of yourselves at your age?"
"Anyone with eyes can see that the little clothes are pieced together from scraps of cloth. What business is it of yours if someone has extra scraps of cloth to make clothes for their chickens? You'd be better off making a few more matchboxes to improve your own lives."
The three women speaking were residents from the neighborhood. The first two had jealous expressions, and the woman carrying a small baby on her back was probably at odds with them, hence her sharp and unkind remarks.
Perhaps because the woman carrying the child was so confident, the two women in front of her didn't dare to say anything to her and could only shut up awkwardly.
But the look in their eyes was unfriendly. When they got close, they stomped and kicked, trying to knock over the one closest to them, Wednesday and Thursday.
