Chapter 134: Panic

However, Officer Liu just stood quietly in front of the table without saying a word, filling the entire room with a depressing atmosphere.

After a while, he finally spoke, "Come in and have a meeting." Officer Liu said in a deep voice, then walked into the meeting room first.

Cheng Jiawen stood up and prepared to follow him in when Jiang Ziwen suddenly walked up to him and whispered, "Hey, do you feel that Old Liu is acting strangely today? Normally, he wouldn't say anything if we acted like this, and it's snowing so heavily right now."

Cheng Jiawen frowned, feeling a little suspicious, but he didn't say it out loud. "It's okay, maybe he's just in a bad mood. Don't worry about it. Be careful later and don't get caught in a fight."

"I'm in a bad mood after coming back from a meeting in the provincial capital. Was I scolded?" Jiang Ziwen touched his head and muttered.

When he looked up, he saw that he was the only one left in the duty room. The others had already gone into the conference room and sat down, waiting for Officer Liu's lecture.

He hurried into the meeting room, and as expected, he was met with everyone's gazes and Officer Liu's gleaming anger.

Jiang Ziwen sat tremblingly next to Cheng Jiawen, huddled together like a quail, not daring to say anything.

The next second, Officer Liu glanced sharply around the conference room. Everyone he was staring at lowered their heads unconsciously. He lowered his voice and said slowly, "You patrol every day. Have you found anything unusual in the city?"

When everyone heard this question, no one dared to speak. It was obvious that something had happened in the city, but they didn't know. If they answered that they didn't know, they would be walking into trouble.

For a moment, the entire conference room was silent. Everyone lowered their heads and didn't dare to say anything.

Officer Liu's eyes were as sharp as torches. He slowly scanned everyone present, and finally stopped his gaze on someone. "Jiang Ziwen, go ahead."

Jiang Ziwen was startled when his name was called, and a thin layer of sweat broke out on his forehead. He looked up secretly and glanced at Officer Liu. Seeing the serious look in his eyes, Jiang Ziwen became even more scared. He lowered his head and thought about it, but he really had no clue.

"I...I don't know." He stammered out these words under Officer Liu's furious gaze.

Officer Liu frowned slightly, a hint of dissatisfaction flashed in his eyes, "Don't know? What do you do all day? You don't know anything about such a big thing?" He slammed the table so hard that the documents on the table almost fell to the ground.

Jiang Ziwen trembled with fear and quickly bowed his head to admit his mistake. "I'm sorry, Officer Liu, we really don't know what's going on in the city. Everyone has been busy with their own work lately and hasn't paid attention to other situations."

Officer Liu snorted coldly and threw the documents onto the table. "I don't know, I don't know? You just keep saying you don't know. You patrol every day, and you don't even know what's going on in the city?"
