Chapter 57 Getting a Certificate

They were wearing thick winter clothes, but it couldn't hide the joy in their hearts. The sunlight shone through their cheeks, illuminating their happy smiles. The two chatted while riding their bikes, and their laughter echoed in the quiet streets, as if breaking the silence of winter.

After riding for more than half an hour, the two finally arrived at the county town. Cheng Jiawen took Xu Qianjiao straight to the photo studio.

The photo studio wasn't big, only a few dozen square meters. There was only one old man inside. He pushed his glasses, looked at the two of them calmly, and asked, "Are you here to take pictures?"

"Yes." Cheng Jiawen nodded, "Let's take wedding photos."

The old man walked out from the counter and pointed to the mirror and small box beside him. "There's a mirror and a comb over there. Go and tidy up your appearance while I prepare the tools for the photo shoot."

"good."

The two stood in front of the mirror according to the position indicated by the master, carefully checking their appearance, trying to take photos in the best condition.

Cheng Jiawen took out clothes from the backpack, changed out of his torn cotton-padded jacket and put on a brand new coat. Xu Qianjiao also took off her coat, preparing to shoot in just her sweater.

After a while, the two of them had finished tidying up, while the old master was still preparing tools. Xu Qianjiao looked around the photo studio. There were many photos hanging inside, mostly black and white, but also some in color.

However, Xu Qianjiao feels that the effect of color photos is not as good as black and white ones. The old master's craftsmanship is good. Although the photos are not amazing, the composition and lighting are indeed good.

"Do you want to take black and white or color photos? Black and white is 50 cents per photo, and color is 1 yuan per photo." The old master adjusted the camera, looked up and asked the two people who were looking at the photos.

Cheng Jiawen didn't say anything, just looked at Xu Qianjiao. He didn't care. He just wanted to see what Xu Qianjiao meant.

Xu Qianjiao thought for a moment and said, "Master, we want to take two group photos, one in black and white, one in color, and then a separate black and white photo of each of us."

"Okay." The old master nodded. "Okay, come over here and take a photo first."

"good."

The two walked to the place pointed by the master. Cheng Jiawen was a little at a loss. He was a little stiff facing the camera. The master pointed to the stool next to him and said, "Young man, sit down. She is standing behind you."

The two of them sat down according to the master's instructions. Cheng Jiawen sat on the stool and Xu Qianjiao stood beside her, her hand gently resting on his shoulder. It was a very common pose for taking photos.

Cheng Jiawen sat on a stool with a serious look on his face. Xu Qianjiao curled her lips into a sweet smile. The old master looked at the increasingly stiff Cheng Jiawen through the camera and said, "Young man, relax and smile."
