"You little bitch, what right do you have to eat my braised pork?" Xie Chunmei questioned Jiang Xue, holding up an enamel porcelain bottle.
Jiang Xue rolled her eyes at her impatiently, "I paid for this meat, why should it be yours?"
Jiang Xue stepped forward without any politeness and snatched the enamel mug away, saying, "The enamel mug is mine too. Don't even think about taking advantage of me."
Xie Chunmei and Jiang Chun trembled with anger, "You bitch, you good-for-nothing, you..."
Before Xie Chunmei could finish her rant, Ji Chen, his face dark, approached her and said, "Are you leaving or not? If not, I'll go to your house right now and twist Jiang Lai's arm off."
Upon hearing that she was going to be rude to Jiang Lai, Xie Chunmei wilted like a peeled eggplant. She grabbed Jiang Chunsheng and said, "Come on, come on. These two will get their comeuppance one day for treating an old woman like this."
"Get out of here, all of you! Get as far away as you can!" Jiang Xue was so angry that her eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
As Jiang Chunsheng walked, he cursed Jiang Xue for being heartless. Xie Chunmei showed no intention of giving up, saying, "Let's go back and think of a way. I don't believe we can't squeeze a drop of oil out of her."
Jiang Xue's courtyard finally enjoyed a rare moment of tranquility.
After tidying up the house, Jiang Xue happily said to Ji Chen, "Thank you for today, you're really kind of me."
Jiang Xue never expected that the person who had once completely ignored the original owner would now be so supportive, and she was very grateful.
"To repay you, I'll take care of both children for you from now on. If it's inconvenient for you to pick them up, I'll let them sleep at my place."

Ji Chen felt mostly guilty, as if he was the one who had pushed her away.
He was filled with unease, unsure whether Jiang Xue really wanted to leave him.
Ji Chen walked somewhat awkwardly to the door and cautiously probed Jiang Xue, "What about the divorce?"
"Then I'll have to trouble you with this. Could you please get our marriage certificate back for us?"
"Don't you want your mountain and bamboo forest anymore?" Ji Chen felt he had done his best to persuade Jiang Xue.
Unexpectedly, Jiang Xue glared at him fiercely, "Of course I want it, it's just that you think I'm greedy and that I'm holding you back from getting a divorce."
