A sly glint flashed in Ji Chen's deep, dark eyes. "I didn't say that. Since you want it, I'll hold off on divorcing you for now, considering you've helped me take care of the child."
Before Ji Chen could even feel happy, Jiang Xue turned her head and stared at him with cold, indifferent eyes.
"Bring it to me tomorrow, and we'll get a divorce tomorrow. I don't need any sympathy. And let me reiterate, I'm taking care of your children simply because I like them. Once everything is settled for me, I'm willing to go through the adoption process."
Ji Chen shuddered at Jiang Xue's cold look. And Jiang Xue, why is she getting more and more stubborn?
“I was just joking, I didn’t mean any sympathy. Oh well, let’s talk about it next time. I’ll dress the two kids, you go and rest.”
"Oh, thank you." Seeing that she had a free hand, Jiang Xue quickly opened the wardrobe and started tidying up her clothes.
Ji Chen grew increasingly anxious as he looked at the document. "Moving tomorrow?"
"Well, this order is almost finished in a couple of days, I need to go find the next one." Jiang Xue packed her clothes efficiently.
"From now on, you can deliver it to Shaoheng and Shaomeng during the day, and pick them up in the evening if you have time. If you don't have time, I'll bring it with me."
Ji Chen's expression clearly darkened, and he coldly replied, "Oh."
Jiang Xue put the two children to sleep, while Ji Chen slept outside as always.
After putting the two children to sleep, Jiang Xue took out the ledger to calculate the net profit for this transaction.
After a short while, Jiang Xue felt thirsty, so she casually put on a coat, opened the door, and saw that the light was still on.
She saw Ji Chen holding a pen, seemingly calculating something, but she didn't bother to ask.
He picked up the kettle on the square table, filled the teacup with water, and prepared to go back to his room, but then he caught a glimpse of Ji Chen calculating costs.
She picked up the teacup with great interest, lingered for a moment, and looked at the purchased equipment. Each list had a long explanation, followed by a stack of drawings and text.
“This shouldn’t be done like this.” Jiang Xue looked meaningfully at the thick stack of purchase orders.
"If you organize things like this, just imagine how inefficient you'll be. Whoever purchased the items, whoever needs to claim reimbursement, should use codes to represent the purchased products."
Jiang Xue put down her teacup and felt that although she didn't have any feelings for Ji Chen, he had taken good care of her during this time. She thought it best to help each other out if they could.
She patiently took out a pen and a piece of white paper. "For example, this electric drill is a fixed product used on your construction site, so you can number it 0001. Of course, you can add a few more zeros in front of it. Then write 'electric drill' in the remarks, followed by the unit price and quantity."
Ji Chen watched as Jiang Xue made a table for him, and sure enough, it suddenly became clear and easy to understand.
"After you have all the statistics, you can put labels on the products you use, or write 0001 on them with a marker, and so on."
Jiang Xue drew the table, in which she had already written down the examples.
"Wouldn't it be much more convenient to check the actual items against a form, whether for inventory or for use?"
Ji Chen's entire demeanor instantly changed towards that huge stack of ledgers, making it seem like a very small matter.
He was still struggling with this thing, but if he followed Jiang Xue's method, he estimated that it would be completed in less than half an hour.
"How come I never realized you were so smart before?"
"You're blind, you have no taste." Jiang Xue stood up without hesitation, smoothed the coat that had hit her, picked up her teacup, and was about to leave.
