Chapter 58 Helping Out Is Difficult

Jiang Xue turned around in surprise, frowning, and asked in confusion, "What? I'm not good to my workers, but I'm good to you?"

Jiang Xue's words left Ji Chen speechless.

He glared at Jiang Xue resentfully, "I want to eat noodles tonight."

Good grief, don't you know how to roll out your own noodles? Why are you asking me for them?

Jiang Xue imagined a massive attack on Ji Chen, who was arrogant and somewhat chauvinistic.

It can be seen that Ji Chen, with his two children, was helping to clean up the mess in the yard, and was also helping to fold the finished curtains and clothes separately.

She really has no temper left.

Jiang Xue went into the kitchen, took a large ceramic bowl from the stove, and scooped out several scoops of flour.

Living life with great enthusiasm.

Ji Chen tidied up the yard, and for some reason, he had been sticking to Jiang Xue lately.

He took a few scraps of cloth and tossed them to the two children, saying, "You two go make rag dolls, but you're not allowed to leave the yard."

After saying that, he rushed to the kitchen and sat under the stove to help Jiang Xue start a fire.

As she kneaded the dough that smelled of white flour, Jiang Xue's mind was filled with thoughts of where to find a second order.

So engrossed in her work, she didn't hear Ji Chen pulling the bellows so hard it was making a whooshing sound.

"Bang..." Jiang Xue was so engrossed in her thoughts that her hand slipped, and a bowl of noodles almost fell off the stove.

Fortunately, she leaned in close to block the flow, preventing a bowl of dough that hadn't even been kneaded properly from falling to the ground.

But his clothes were covered in white flour.

And just now, in order to give a speech, she took off her apron, being very conscious of her image.

Now look what happened! My clothes are covered in flour, and my hands are covered in flour too. This was in the days before water taps.

She could only say to Ji Chen, who was staring blankly at her, "Could you get me an apron and tie it on for me so I don't have to wash my hands?"

Ji Chen paused for three seconds, then quickly ran to the clothes rack outside the kitchen and took off his apron.

He walked behind Jiang Xue hesitantly, but couldn't lift the apron for a long time to tie it on her.

Jiang Xue's hands were raised in mid-air for a long time, until they started to ache, but Ji Chen still hadn't tied an apron for her.

"Help me tie it, my hands are all wet." Jiang Xue raised her snow-white arm and wiped her face with the hair that had fallen on her face.

Standing behind Jiang Xue, Ji Chen felt that the whole room was filled with a mysterious atmosphere.

The sounds of bowls and ladles clattering against the stove, and the crackling of burning firewood.

Ji Chen felt a strange mix of surprise and trepidation at this unusual voice.

He silently encouraged himself, walked closer to Jiang Xue, and reached out to wrap his apron around Jiang Xue's slender waist.

The faint fragrance emanating from Jiang Xue's hair penetrated directly into Ji Chen's internal organs.

His blood rushed to his head, and his Adam's apple bobbed unconsciously.

"Ouch, that's choking me!" Jiang Xue was pulled by Ji Chen suddenly, and the straps on her apron were choking her painfully around the waist.

"If you keep tightening it, your waist will break."

Ji Chen's face flushed red, and he said unhappily, "Then tell me how to tie it. I didn't tie an apron for anyone, how would I know?"

Seeing that Ji Chen was still arguing, Jiang Xue turned around, feeling both amused and exasperated, and earnestly told him something.

"It's tied up. You should be able to fit one hand in, just right, not too tight, not too loose, understand?" After Jiang Xue finished speaking, she turned around and started kneading the dough.

This really worried Ji Chen, and he awkwardly leaned closer again.
