Jiang Xue suddenly became interested. She walked up to Ji Chen and looked at him with her charming eyes.
"I'm your wife, Brother Chen, don't you remember? How about coming to my bed tonight to play around?" Jiang Xue said, giving Ji Chen a flirtatious wink.
Ji Chen's expectant expression instantly deflated like a frostbitten eggplant.
"You go ahead and do your thing, pretend I didn't say anything." He knew Jiang Xue was deliberately playing him, and he was seething with anger as he sat there making budgets.
Jiang Xue glanced at Ji Chen. "Little brat, trying to trick me into revealing anything? Once I have the divorce certificate and the land, we'll go our separate ways."
She tossed aside the documents she wasn't interested in and said, "Your line of work is good, and it's getting better and better. When you make a fortune, remember to share half with me, okay?"
Ji Chen didn't even raise his head and coldly snorted, "That's quite a dream."
Jiang Xue got up nonchalantly, tied on her apron, and said, "Time to get to work."
Ji Chen sat at the square table, watching Jiang Xue's figure gradually disappear into the distance, and muttered softly, "It wouldn't be so bad to share half with you."
As the sun sank in the west, its afterglow spilled across the vast, boundless farmland.
Gu Xiaoling took off her apron, patted off the loose threads on her clothes, and said, "We can finish today. We'll continue tomorrow. Now, line up and come to me one by one to collect your wages."
