Jiang Xue followed behind Ji Chen and slowly sat down on a chair on the second floor of the Jingyuan Hotel, calmly watching the people hurrying by downstairs.
"What would you like to eat? It's more ventilated here, are you feeling uncomfortable?"
Jiang Xue shook her head. "I'm fine. Luckily, there's a window, so the smell is less noticeable and I'm not as sensitive to it."
Ji Chen said to the waiter, "Clear broth tofu, steamed sea bass, jade shrimp, blanched bok choy, mutton stew with radish..."
"Don't order so much. It's just the two of us. It'll be a waste if we can't finish it." Jiang Xue didn't know why Ji Chen was suddenly acting so formal.
Could it be that he's pregnant and he's throwing a dinner party for her?
Jiang Xue was a little confused. "Although I have two mouths now, I don't have such a big appetite."
Ji Chen smiled faintly, lowered his head and remained silent. He didn't know why he felt so uneasy. He was always calm and composed when bidding on projects, so why did he become so flustered in front of his wife?

Jiang Xue put the sea bass in her mouth, still holding the chopsticks, and stared wide-eyed at Ji Chen, "What's wrong?"
She felt a little annoyed. What was Ji Chen doing? He had just been offering her food. She noticed that Ji Chen's forehead was covered in cold sweat.
I couldn't help but wonder, "Are you feeling unwell?"
Ji Chen was so engrossed in his own tension that he didn't hear a word Jiang Xue said.
"How about we get married?"
Ji Chen hurriedly took out a gold ring from his pocket.
Jiang Xue looked at the plain gold ring, and her expression suddenly turned somewhat ferocious.
She suppressed her disgust, knowing that this was Ji Chen's aesthetic sense, and there was no way to change it.
She forced a smile that looked more like a grimace, "Don't we already have a marriage certificate? Why are you being so polite?"
Ji Chen was a little unhappy. He had imagined Jiang Xue's excited expression or her moved look countless times.
Ji Chen had guessed many of the expressions, but this look of disgust was something he never expected.
"Why weren't you moved at all?"
Upon hearing this, Jiang Xue nearly choked to death on the sea bass she had just eaten.
She strategically took a sip of water. This kind of proposal was anything but romantic. If it were accompanied by a bouquet of roses and a huge diamond ring, perhaps she would have shed a few tears.
But looking at the large gold ring in front of her, she was truly unmoved.
"Actually, I was very touched, but I just didn't want to show it. With so many people around, I was shy." Jiang Xue's expression was comparable to that of an award-winning actress.
And you know what? Ji Chen actually fell for it.
Ji Chen looked at Jiang Xue with a bit of skepticism, "Is it because there are too many people? Are you a little shy?"
Jiang Xue pursed her lips, putting on a rather shy expression, "Could you put it away? I'm worried people will laugh at me."
Hearing Jiang Xue say that, Ji Chen felt much more at ease.
Ji Chen was even a little moved by his own actions, and he put the ring directly on Jiang Xue's hand.
"How about we have a wedding? Let's hold it at a hotel."
