Chapter 48 Securing a Big Order

Zhao Qian was in a great hurry and didn't even have time to knock on the door. Seeing that President Wang's expression was serious, she hurriedly explained, "I didn't say I wanted her to make the curtains. I just asked around and compared prices."

Mr. Wang asked Zhao Qian unhurriedly, "So, what price range are the curtains you're looking at?"

Zhao Qian's expression changed drastically, and she was suddenly in a dilemma. She threw away the price Jiang Xue had given her without even looking at it.

"Two or three pieces are available." Zhao Qian's hands were trembling with panic.

Seeing this, Jiang Xue sneered inwardly. She decided to give Zhao Qian some face and quickly added, "We also have one yuan and fifty cents."

Zhao Qian nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes, there are also some priced at one yuan and fifty cents."

Seeing that Jiang Xue's quote wasn't high, Mr. Wang said, "Alright, Zhao Qian, you go and draft a contract, then get a deposit of five hundred yuan from the finance department."

Jiang Xue drew several sketches in her office. After confirming the style and fabric with General Manager Wang, she decided to make a sample first.

After completing all the formalities, Jiang Xue was preparing to leave.

But then Mr. Wang suddenly stopped him, saying, "If you have some free time someday, let's sit down and have a good chat about the dishes."

"I don't know why, but I always feel that you are a girl who has seen the world."

Jiang Xue smiled sheepishly, "Okay, I promise I'll be there whenever you call."

With five hundred yuan in her bag, Jiang Xue was so excited when she walked out of the restaurant that she almost jumped for joy.

She never expected her first pot of gold to come so quickly.

The next thing to do is to find someone to make the curtains, which is a huge amount of work that she can't do alone.

Just as Ji Chenfeng brought Shao Heng and Shao Meng back to the shop, he arrived at the shop entrance covered in dust.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Jiang Xue asked casually, curious, when she saw him panting heavily.

"It's nothing. Didn't you say you were going back to pick chestnuts?"

Jiang Xue had completely forgotten about this, and she had only mentioned it casually that morning, not expecting Ji Chen to take it to heart.

"I don't have time. I received a big order at noon, and I need to find someone to help me make it." Jiang Xue measured the fabric and cut the dimensions without even looking up.

Ji Chen walked in, dusting himself off. "Making curtains?"

"Okay." Jiang Xue nodded. Although she was happy to receive the money, she was extremely anxious.

"How much time did they give you?" Ji Chen's tone remained icy.

"Half a month." Jiang Xue was busy and flustered. "I need to find someone to help me. I'll go put up some small ads and hire a few temporary workers later."

Ji Chen frowned slightly. "Are all the fabrics available?"

Jiang Xue shook her head. She knew that this order had many flaws and that it wasn't something that could be done without everything being in place.

“I’ll get a tricycle and take it back to the village to make curtains. There are many women in the village, and almost every household has a sewing machine. Besides, making curtains doesn’t require much skill. It’s only five yuan a day, and people are eager to do it.”

Jiang Xue looked up and stared at Ji Chen in astonishment. She really couldn't believe that such a rough man was so quick-witted. Perhaps it was a case of the onlooker seeing more of the game than the player.

Without further ado, Jiang Xue went to get the fabric, and Ji Chen went to get the car.

Jiang Xue had just finished unloading the goods when she saw Ji Chen driving a tricycle with two young men on board.

One of the young men, with dark skin, quickly jumped off the train as soon as it came to a stop.

"Sister-in-law, the boss called us over to help you load the goods."

Before Jiang Xue could react, the two young men quickly loaded all the fabric onto the truck.
