On Tuesday morning, the weather was unusually clear, and the winter sun shone on Hogwarts, dyeing the ancient castle with a layer of golden brilliance.
Felix slept until eight o'clock, and opened his eyes to the laughter of several little wizards playing snowball fights.
He lifted the quilt, and the cotton pajamas on his body automatically fell off, and a delicate and soft cardigan was put on. He moved his neck to adjust the clothes to be more comfortable, and then put on a pair of fleece trousers under the effect of magic.
"Magic makes people lazy", Felix couldn't remember what grade he saw this, but he believed it deeply.
Finally, he put on a dark wizard robe, and after everything was done, he opened the window and looked down at the snow scene outside the window.
The weather has warmed up a lot, and Felix didn't feel cold. There was a thick layer of white snow in the open space and courtyard in front of the castle, and several little wizards were rushing to the cafeteria for breakfast.
"Luckily I don't have classes in the morning. Happiness is really achieved through comparison."
After returning to the office, he sorted out the tasks he had been working on recently -
finding the Chamber of Secrets and dealing with the basilisk (I agreed with Dumbledore to deal with it during the Christmas holidays);
finding the Dark Lord's relics that were suspected to be Horcruxes (I have promoted it three times but still have no clue. This is another proof that the little wizard is unreliable);
practicing instant kill techniques (I have been a little slack recently and have stagnated at the progress of four jumps);
acquiring the rare skill Parseltongue (awaiting feedback, responsible person: Harry Potter);
making an agreement with Klein (indefinitely on hold...);
the next contact with the rich man Hagrid (under careful preparation);
plundering the thousand-year-old collection of books in Hogwarts (in progress);
dealing with the public opinion threat brought by Rita Skeeter (√);
completing the magic creation Binding Vine (√);
guiding Hermione to complete her thesis
(√); preparing Christmas gifts (√);
accepting the Dueling Club plan (√);
ancient magic course teaching reform plan (√);
making friends with Lockhart (he is crazy, this task is invalid);
Felix smacked his lips. There was nothing particularly urgent. There was less than a week left before Christmas, and he was getting a little lazy.
"You can visit Professor Snape and finalize the matter of the assistant to the duel club."
Felix went down the stairs of the castle and crossed the courtyard. There were several strange-looking snowmen on the side of the road - this was obviously the work of lower-grade students. Due to their limited magical attainments, they could only do this job themselves.
After breakfast, he went down to the underground space of the castle and found the office of the professor of potions class.
Knocking on the professor's door, Snape rejected his request to go in expressionlessly.
"I don't think I invited you to my office, Felix."
However, Felix had long been familiar with the professor's personality. Unless you want to tease him, you should speak directly and talk about what you are most interested in.
So Felix said: "Professor Snape, I have obtained the approval of Headmaster Dumbledore to be responsible for the subsequent duel courses. As for the teaching staff, I need to know your wishes..." He stopped and looked into Snape's eyes.
Snape pursed his lips tightly, his black eyes staring at him motionlessly. After a while, he made way, "Come in, Felix."
The office of the potion professor was located in the basement, with dim light. The shelves against the wall were filled with countless glass specimen jars, and inside was Professor Snape's private bedroom.
Felix walked to the specimen shelf and carefully examined one of the jars, "Is this the big claw of the eight-eyed giant spider? Is it the one that lives in the forbidden forest?" He asked with interest.
Professor Snape walked out of the inner room, followed by two glasses of pumpkin juice. "No." He said indifferently, handing him a glass of pumpkin juice.
The conversation between the two got to the point.
"Felix, when did you snatch his Dueling Club from Lockhart?"
"Professor, I must remind you that Professor Lockhart was too busy with his daily work and had to make a painful choice."
"I don't think so," Snape sneered, "What's so busy about an acting class?"
"Of course he's busy replying to fan letters. As far as I know, he spends at least an hour every day to complete this job." Felix showed a mischievous smile, "I can understand Professor Lockhart very well. After all, we are both writers and have to face harassment from fans, and he is more productive than me."
"The books he wrote..." Snape didn't say anything else, his expression said it all. "But you also reply to fan letters? This is really beyond my expectation. I don't think you will spend time on these trivial matters."
"There's no way," Felix said with emotion, "Most of them are officials from the Ministry of Magic of various countries. We discussed Muggle legislation and how to deal with Muggles."
Snape choked.
He said, "Felix, don't beat around the bush with me, tell me why you're here."
"Professor, I want to know if you are still willing to participate in my dueling course."
"Your dueling course?" Snape dragged a long tone on the word "your".
"Yes, my dueling course." Felix looked at him calmly.
This is the difference between the primary and the secondary.
Snape fell silent.
Felix looked leisurely. He didn't know whether Snape would agree, but from the information obtained from Lockhart, Snape took the initiative to ask to be an assistant for this course.
This shows that he is interested in the dueling course.
As for the reason, Felix didn't know, and he didn't care much.
However, he heard that Snape had been seeking a teaching position in the Defense Against the Dark Arts course, but unfortunately, Dumbledore never agreed. Is there a connection between the two?
For example, Snape used the dueling course as a substitute for the Defense Against the Dark Arts course? Felix speculated in his heart.
"I need to participate in the selection of course content." Snape put forward the conditions.
Felix smiled. “Of course, your experience is worthy of attention,” he said.
Felix put the cup filled with pumpkin juice back on the table, and he stood up, "Professor, the next duel class will be held after the Christmas holiday. I will communicate with you about the teaching content then. I wish you a happy time."
"No thanks." Snape said with a straight face.
Felix, who was about to walk out the door, suddenly stopped: "By the way, Professor Snape, I have prepared your Christmas present in advance, I believe you will be satisfied."
Snape forced a smile on his face, and said: "I will prepare a present for you, Felix."
...
In the evening, Felix and Professor Flitwick took turns to be responsible for routine patrols in the castle. There are always some little wizards who, for various legitimate and illegitimate reasons, leave the sight of professors and prefects and act alone.
But what he didn't expect was that he actually ran into Miss Hermione Granger, who was in a hurry and out of breath.
"Professor Hep! Oh my God, I finally met a professor!" The little witch said excitedly.
"Miss Granger, what happened?"
"The Chamber of Secrets... the monster in the Chamber of Secrets..." Hermione wanted to speak, but she had run a long distance and was out of breath.
"There was a new attack?" Felix's expression became serious. Was it really that serious? Another attack happened a few days before Christmas?
His assistant nodded first, then shook his head.
"The attack did happen, but no one was hurt. However, Harry, he, he went after the basilisk!"
