Chapter 27 Turbid

The stench spread along the riverside, and both the Bai and Feng families distanced themselves from the Liang family in disgust.

Mrs. Liang covered her nose and asked repeatedly, "What's going on? Why is the horse like this?"

The horse-watching boy answered stiffly, "Maybe there was something wrong with the fodder that the inn provided to the horses yesterday."

"Then why are the other horses okay?"

Madam Liang frowned. The horses of the officials and the military runners, the mules and sheep of the Wei family were all fine, but their horses and sheep were the only ones in trouble. Why was that?

Just as Mrs. Liang was about to interrogate her, the maid beside her suddenly screamed.

"Madam, this is bad!"

"Look at you, young master!"

Mrs. Liang followed the maid's frightened gaze and saw that her little son, who was following her, had a number of red spots on his neck for some reason and his breathing became rapid, as if someone was strangling his neck and he could hardly breathe.

Mrs. Liang no longer cared about what happened with the horses and sheep.

Her heart was completely devoted to her youngest son, who she had given birth to when she was over 30. She had always doted on him like the apple of her eye and had never encountered such a crisis.

But before they could drink the porridge, they were knocked to the ground by Old Mrs. Feng who came running over.

The little grandson of the Feng family instantly became furious and shouted loudly,

"Grandma, what are you doing?"

Not far away, Mrs. Liang, who had just taken care of her son and had begged the judge to send someone to call a doctor, froze suddenly when she heard the noise here. She turned around and swept her eyes like a sharp sword, looking at Mrs. Feng as if she were a dead person.
